We had an incredible stay at Jaz Tour Khalef in Sousse! From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. It's clear that the team genuinely cares about the guests and is doing their absolute best, despite being a bit overstretched at times. The waiters and other team members are wonderful, though it’s evident they feel constrained by certain management practices. Many of the waiters seemed hesitant to speak up or make adjustments due to the oversight from above, which is a shame as they work incredibly hard. A special shoutout to Nidhal and Krifi, who truly made our time by the pool extra special! Nidhal's friendly and attentive service was a highlight of our days at the pool, and his positive attitude made a big difference. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. The food was also lovely, with a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes. However, the main restaurant could get quite busy at peak times, and while additional staff would be helpful, this isn’t the fault of the hardworking team already there. Akram was amazing his customer service was excellent he made sure we was all okay and made sure we got the best service, service was a 10/10! Alex & Fouffa was amazing too they made sure we was entertained through the night and made sure we was okay the whole time! Dar Antonia is located in the Sousse Medina ; a wonderful Tunisian palace, converted into a boutique hotel. It only has a few rooms, hence not a lot of staff and it may be difficult to find someone at times. The place oozes charm, but comes with some practical disadvantages : lots of stairs to get anywhere, open bathroom, open toilet, noise from other rooms, etc It has a very upmarket (= expensive) restaurant, where a sensational fresh breakfast is served. A great rooftop space with a ”pool”, but it is the size of a spa ; a superb place to have a drink, but it proved to be hard to order any, as they have to come from the restaurant, two floors down (by stairs). Overall, Dar Antonia is your best choice if you like authentic charm and are prepared to put up with the impracticalities that are inherent to an old building.
