The hotel is a family heritage, and the service staff are very nice. It can be seen that they love this job from the bottom of their hearts... What a coincidence, I met their Michelin dinner. Naihua, until the finale, all dancers and carnivals 🎉, the whole atmosphere scene is like a fairy tale...perfectly interprets Italians' relentless pursuit of beautiful details! Recommend friends who come to Nanyi, you must come and experience it

After 190 years this Grand Hotel is quite extraordinary with location, service staff, food and amenities. Thelynlything missing is private access to the sea although there is an elevator to take you to the marina where you can find private beach clubs. Each team member of the Hotel is well trained and ser ice orient which is what you get from a 5th generation family run business. Prices are still elevated from pre pandemic yet you get what you pay for.

The hotel is wonderful. Large, comfortable rooms and bathrooms which combine a classic Italian style with a fresh and modern feel; delicious breakfast; beautiful and large pool; lovely quiet grounds. We liked that the sea-facing terrace and bar areas are reserved for hotel guests, meaning one can always get a table. Every member of staff we encountered was delightful - friendly, relaxed, helpful and welcoming, from Carmine at the property gates to all of the reception, concierge and restaurant teams. A great experience and we’ll certainly visit again. Grazie mille!

We are currently staying at this Hotel for the first time, usually staying in Positano for the two weeks in August, we thought we would stay here for a week, having visited and stayed in Sorrento many times. We have been lucky to have stayed in many "Leading Hotels of the World" Group. This one, after only two days is exceptional, the staff are attentive, friendly and genuine. We look forward to the rest of our holiday. I should note that I do not regularly post on Trip Advisor unless something is worth mention!

The exceptional service and dedication of the hotel staff, particularly the Hotel Manager Ms. Laterza, and her colleagues in the Events Office, stood out and made our special day unforgettable. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect! They accommodated all our needs and looked after us from throughout the planning process and on our big day. Their professionalism and warm hospitality ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to enjoy every moment! The stunning location of the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria was simply the perfect location for our Wedding. The breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, combined with the hotel’s historic charm and luxurious style created an elegant and dreamy atmosphere that our guests are still complimenting us about. We are incredibly grateful to the entire staff at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria for making our Wedding an extraordinary event and were key in creating memories that will last a lifetime. The Hotel location is very good, the stuff try his best to assist any time anything we asked, staying in this hotel improve our vacation. I really recommend on this hotel. The hotel locate near the port and he has many relaxing places , for sure i will be back.

Judging by previous reviews, people really love this hotel. I had mixed feelings. Yes, it is grand, with large bedrooms, beautiful grounds and a large, modern swimming pool. But it was too formal for me. The service was efficient, but not particularly warm. The room furnishings were not to my taste - peach satin curtains with swags and tails, yellow dralon sofa, brown furniture - a 1980’s idea of luxury. As we booked through Amex we had an upgrade, to a side sea view, but there was still an attempt to upsell to a full sea view at check-in. This is a particular gripe of mine. The hotel was half empty, so either upgrade to the higher category room, or don’t bother offering it. It’s a charmless way to greet a guest. Other hotels we stayed in on this trip included Il San Pietro Di Positano, La Scalinatella, Capri and Borgo Santandrea, Amalfi. For me, these 5 star hotels offered better value for money, more stylish bedrooms with beautiful furnishings and fabrics, and warmer service. But if you like a very formal atmosphere, perhaps the Excelsior Vittoria would be a good fit.
