Sorrento Pool&Suites

If I could rate it less than 1 star I would. This is not a hotel it’s a building that looks like it’s about to fall down. With no reception just a desk in a hall way. The concrete bench’s in the hallway had a massive snot ball on it which was a lovely touch. Owner was very rude and unhelpful. We paid for a sea view and a balcony and we have no terrace and our view is a tree. Come here if you like disappointment. The lady who showed us around was very nice and can someone find her a new job so she doesn’t have to show people around this hostile place.

Having seen the negative reviews I was concerned about what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. We were met by Giuseppe who let us checkin early and then went to use the excellent pool. It is annoying about the pool hats but in the flip side the pool is lovely and clean. The location is excellent, just outside the city walls. There is a superb and reasonably priced restaurant just across the street and several bakeries nearby. Giuseppe recommended a boat trip to the Amalfi coast which was one of the best experiences of my life.

Do not waste your time or money here, move on! The apartments are located in a residential multi storey complex. Owner operates a few apartments and services are limited. The property was advertised with operation pool between June - September. Upon arrival we found on the 31st of May the pool was empty and we were then advised that it would be operational on the 15th of June. The property owner defended his false advertising. The building is in a sad state and presented very poorly. The apartment was on the 1st floor after a special request for a ground floor apartment. The room had very basic furniture and a bed that was uncomfortable that kept coming apart during the night. The bathroom was filthy with lots of mould right across the bathroom floor. We had to request a kettle, spoons and some cups as nothing was supplied. The exterior of the building is extremely run down and quite depressing.

Our stay was really good. Excellent location for exploring Sorrento, very clean and lovely staff. The building was authentic and had a lot of character. Security was good. The pool wasn’t open and looked like it hasn’t been for a while. I think you should change the image on the site and advertise guests.

The room looked cute when we were shown it by Tony but as we looked closer it was obvious the bathroom was not clean. The shower floor was stained and had a rusty stool inside. The grout through the the bathroom was stained and caulking discolored. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shower at all in its condition. The bathroom had double sinks which was very nice but they splashed water everywhere no matter how we adjusted them! The complimentary breakfast was not good. We did appreciate the two balcony’s, the AC worked well and the location was great, five minutes slightly downhill walk to the main part of sorrento. Just as a whole unfortunately it was quite the letdown.
