My trip to Jiuzhaigou ended. Since the high-speed train to Chengdu arrived at 2:22 PM the next day, I had to descend the mountain by 12:30 PM. I planned to walk down, so I decided to head up as soon as the scenic area opened! I booked a hotel not far from the area! Huanglong isn't as popular as Jiuzhaigou, but the hotel is new. I stayed in a Starry Sky š room, where I could see the stars at night š«. It was also very clean! Since I was on a tight schedule, the owner arranged a 7:00 AM breakfast. While not amazing, the steamed buns and kimchi were homemade, and the porridge was filled with š½ grains grown by the owner's father. It was delicious! We left for the scenic area at 7:15 AM. Since I had to check my luggage, the owner waited outside for me to check it in and then took me directly to the cable car station. I boarded the cable car at 7:35 AM on time! I was already walking down by the time the rest of the group reached the Five-Colored Pool. It was a wonderful trip!

GGuest UserWe stayed two nights to sandwich a trip to give ourselves a full day at HuangLong scenic area. The Hotel is in a charming town called ChuanZhuSi after a local temple (it also is charming and very golden!). The decor of the hotel is really nice with beautiful woodwork. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. There is a lot to see and many places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, various types of steamed breads, dumplings, steamed corn on the cob, sweet potatoes and fresh tomatoes. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly.

WWikiå®č„éŖMy partner and I absolutely loved our stay here! Despite the city noise from a nearby construction site, the hotel itself was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. It really exceeded our expectations and delivered on everything promised.
We stayed in a beautiful suite on the 2nd floor with a cosy balcony that gave us plenty of privacy. On arrival, we were welcomed with afternoon tea and small snacks, which set the tone right away. The suite was sparkling clean ā something very important to me ā and even had a massive TV, perfect for winding down with a movie at night. Thoughtful touches like oxygen supplementation by the bed and an electric blanket for chilly nights made our stay extra comfortable. Honestly, we didnāt feel like we were missing anything.
I personally loved the design of both the hotel and the room ā it felt so warm and welcoming that I didnāt want to leave. The location couldnāt be better: right in the center of Songpan on a quieter street, just a few minutesā walk to explore the whole town, grab coffee, or try local food.
The staff were incredible ā extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive to our personal requests, even before our arrival. They really made us feel taken care of.
Breakfast is a traditional Chinese-style one, with steamed buns, stir-fried veggies, eggs, and rice porridge. If thatās not your thing, there are plenty of nearby spots for coffee and other options.
Overall, we left with the feeling that we had chosen the best hotel in town. Iāll definitely stay here again if we return to Songpan.

AAnonymous UserThe room was spotless and well-appointed, and the hotel itself is quite new. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients, and the hot pot we had for dinner was absolutely delicious. Even though we arrived around 9 PM, the restaurant staff patiently waited for us to finish our meal! What really stood out was the front desk staff. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and even went above and beyond to help us resolve an issue with breakfast. We're truly grateful for their help! We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we bring our parents.

DDaughterofEveLooking for a decently priced hotel and lovely service hotel close to Huanglong Station? This is it. Hotel is owned by a friendly family and they are very helpful. They cannot speak English but the daughter added me on WeChat to communicate about what I needed anything. She also guided me through the process of what to do to be able to watch English movies. The hotel is neat and clean, and facilities are decent. The bed is cozy and comfortable, with an electric blanket. I was invited for a hotpot dinner, though I wasn't able to go. I requested breakfast on the day I left and they were more than willing to accommodate me - the breakfast was delicious! Yummy noodles. The owner dropped me at the station in time. There are a few shops (supermarkets and restaurants) within walking distance from the hotel. There is a comfortable lounge area where free tea is available, and some snacks can be bought at reception. It has a nice view (especially if it's snowing). There's a river directly outside of the hotel that can be walked along. I also saw a park area. The hot water was a bit of problem, as it didn't warm up fast enough, then would suddenly go ice cold - so perhaps not great in winter. If this problem is fixed it would definitely be a good place to stay at to be closer to the station. Overall, the service and hospitality was great and I would definitely book this hotel again.

I picked this hotel based on the good reviews on Trip.com and happy to report that the hotel exceeded my expectation. From the first impression I love how this boutique hotel is decorated in a traditional chinese style. The room itself is beautifully designed, modern, and clean. The bed is very comfortable as well. It was perfect to come back to the room from a long day of walking & sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently located near the the North Gate & in a quieter part of Songpan old town, which is great for getting a good night sleep.
However, the best part of my stay at this hotel is the staff, especially the lovely young lady named Xiao Zeng. From the check-in she showed me a couple of rooms to choose from to make sure Iām happy with the room. Not only that, she went beyond her duty to help arrange for the transportation to Songpan train station (it was not possible to get Didi due to rain), as well as to provide helpful tips on what to eat and what to see/do while in Songpan. This makes my traveling experience much smoother and hassle free. Keep up the good work, Xiaozeng šāŗļø

The hotel is very close to the high-speed rail station, a mere 10-minute drive away. The mountain views from the room are simply unbeatable. The majestic peaks frame the hotel windows like a picture frameāno photo editing needed! It's so beautiful!
Room: The room was spacious and newly decorated, with floor heating and a humidifier. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and the smart toilet had a heated function. A hot shower at the hotel instantly made all the travel fatigue go away.
At the Hesu Hotel, I not only experienced the warm and attentive service, but also the warmth of the hotel. I will definitely be back!

GGuest UserGreat place with a great owner. The hotel itself is very nice and it had everything needed, with a nice courtyard. The location is also perfect. The owner helped me plan a day trip where there were no tourists, and he also bought the bus ticket to go back to Chengdu for me, and even followed me to the bus stop. Great help.

3. It takes about 14 minutes to walk from the high-speed rail station. It is very close.
4. The room was clean and I was glad to see the mountains outside the window.

1. The windows are not double windows and they are not insulated well. We had to keep the heating on when the electricity came on.
3. There are many places under construction around the building, so the power supply is unstable. Please warm up your bed and charge your phone when the electricity comes in.
4. If you are a non-smoker, ask for a second-floor room when you check-in. The third-floor room has a sore throat due to the continuous smoke coming up from the second-floor cigarette.
5. There was a restaurant near the hotel that said āBreakfastā and when I went there at 7:30 the door was locked. I looked around all around the hotel, but none of the restaurants were open. Prepare food such as snacks and fruits in advance for breakfast.
6. I think this is for Chinese people only. Foreign lodging registration is not automatic. Please visit the police station next to you at the high-speed rail station and take care of it yourself.

1. The map app confirms that buses run between the ancient fortress wall and the high-speed rail station, but when I asked the locals, they said they don't operate it. I paid 20 yuan for a taxi from the bus stop to my accommodation. I took a taxi from here three times, but no taxi was priced for mileage. You should bargain well.
2. There is a convenience store in the waiting room of the high-speed rail station that sells instant food, the air is warm, and you can charge your phone. If you have nowhere to go, you can spend time here. (We also had breakfast here and charged our phones for four hours.)
