The hotel is situated in the downtown area of Soltau. Shopping, restaurants, bars and museums are all in walking distance. Access to the entire Heidekreis by car is excellent. Even so the hotel was quiet.
The hotel was clean and the service staff was friendly. The furniture and the interior of the hotel were old, reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. The bed was a bit too small for me and the pillow somewhat uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I felt that the cost-benefit ratio was acceptable. Breakfast was good.
I would stay at the hotel again.

Small property... I get it... it's not like a big-brand 5-star hotel. Still, I expect some basics. The room smelled funny, even after I aired it out. The radiator in the bathroom does not work. The shower frequently cycled between scorching hot and freezing cold water. The "free breakfast" does not get restocked, so cold cuts that were consumed yesterday would be empty today--no new alternatives, just that spot is now empty. The upholstery is severely stained and worn on the chairs in their "restaurant" area. Also, no elevator, so be prepared to carry all luggage up the stairs! Overall, very disappointing, and I don't plan to go back.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Straße, Parkplatz ist im Hinterhof vorhanden. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich.
