Fatal no hubo agua caliente en toda la estancia, no nos daban respuesta ni solución ni en el hotel ni trip, cucarachas por la habitación, humedad, buffet repetitivo y de mala calidad, imposible cenar en los restaurantes porque había que reservar con muchos días de antelación, antes de llegar no contestan a correos ni nada, la playa horrorosa llena de algas sucia y fea, para llegar desde playa del carmen imposible si no es un taxi qie te cobra 60€ por un trayecto de 15 min, de la puerta de entrada al lobi hay que andar dos km y de la habitación a la playa otros 2, no te acercan ni a la puerta.. NO RESERVAR NI AQUI NI ESTE HOTEL, MEJOR RIU SIN LUGAR A DUDAS

Lo malo - Al ingresar al hotel me dieron una habitación que no tenía nada que ver con lo que había reservado (ocean View), después de intentar hablar por teléfono nunca contestaron en recepción a lo que al llamar a la operadora solo me dijo que fuera físicamente a recepción a reclamar. Dure 1hra en recepción en lo que me dieron una habitación con vista al mar ya más cerca de la playa y de la alberca. En el buffet de playa al ir por un refresco me lo negaron y me comentaron que el mesero me lo llevaría a la mesa Lo bueno - La comida en los restaurantes de especialidades y el show de fin de semana.

The food was good, although the breakfast and supper buffet didn't really change all that much. It was the same kind of food over and over again. We have to give a shout out to our server at the breakfast buffet Servando! He would see us coming in and brought us our regular beverages right away. He was amazing! The issues we had were: We got there late in the evening and after a long day of travelling, we just wanted to get to our room. However, when we got there, our room keys didn't work and I had to walk all the way back to the lobby (@ 1/2 mile) to have them reprogrammed. The resort is huge so it would be nice if the buggy transportation ran more often. DON'T GET ****** IN to going to one of the presentations. They over promise and under deliver! The cab ride into Playa del Carmen is expensive. $30 USD each way so if you're going into town, make it a good one! You have to book for the a la carte 2 days in advance, they fill up fast but, to be honest, we weren't overly impressed. We had the seafood one night and steak the next. We couldn't get into the other ones. The bar that's connected to the breakfast buffet is the only one that has premium alcohol for us regular folks that aren't members. The other bars had cheaper alcohol and you could tell. The vodka tasted off (very sweet). The concierge was as accommodating as could be so that was a plus. The WIFI was a little spotty, my partner couldn't even connect.

The hotel is about 30 years past its sell-by date, and certainly not 5⭐️ by todays’ standards. I’ve given a low score for service because although the staff in general are friendly and efficient, when my rental car battery was flat they couldn’t raise a member of maintenance staff to jump start my car; resulting in a 6 hour wait for Avis to turn up (and start the car in less than a minute). Irving on the concierge desk was very helpful, Edgar not so much… The staff in the main restaurant are helpful and generally efficient. There’s so much choice in this area that the Blue Bay definitely won’t be on my list for next year

Property is ok for the price but won't be staying here again. The biggest letdown was their food. We only had the breakfast buffet once and ended up eating outside the property our entire stay.

We checked in on January 21, 2024. Upon arrival we were in the wrong room, which smelled musty and had mold on the roof. We had to walk with our luggage back across the property to the lobby to exchange rooms which the staff did find us a new room. When we got into our new room the Air Conditioner was broken and required maintenance. Overall that room appeared cleaner and did not have a horrible moldy smell to it. However the roof started leaking water for the entire stay. We required a bucket to be placed under an area of the room to gather all the water being dripped. The mirror in the room was hanging off the wall and by one drywall screw. The ceiling fan was ended up breaking and one panel flew off and nearly hit my husband. There were wood shards all over the room and it was the most unreal thing to experience. The app they use to make reservations doesn’t accommodate if you’re in a large group. There were 10 of us all staying together (in different rooms) however the only way to eat together at the reservation required restaurants was to book with the concierge and most restaurants were fully booked. It made it very hard to book anything together for dinners. The bars and restaurants use plastic cups for serving drinks which are not cleaned prior to being used again. Staff go around the hotel and gather all the plastic cups then rinse them under tap water and stack them back up to be used again. I would not recommend staying at this resort.
