Very cozy room, beautiful scenery, I like the country feel!
We stayed here for one night on our south coast road trip, family of four with 14 and 10 year old. It was the best stay of the trip by far and I liked everywhere we stayed!!! We had a long day glacier hiking and boat trips followed by a long drive, we arrived about 7.30pm and had the best meal in the restaurant when we arrived, I had the Arctic Char which was sooo good! My husband and son had the lamb which went down equally as well. The room we stayed in was a family room, very spacious and more importantly warm, so we could dry our very wet gear. All staff incredibly welcoming, the shared kitchen facilities were great and very very clean! Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Beautiful location and easy to find. The room was very cozy and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Stunning views of the landscape and super close to the town of Vik. We even saw the aurora here! Unforgettable experience. We loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

We traveled the entire island staying in a different hotel each night. I wish all had been as pleasant as this stay! The peaceful surroundings, the beautiful landscape, the comfortable room and amazing restaurant put this guest house top of our list. The staff was super friendly too, which we learned wasn’t common. After a long day of hiking and sight seeing, we didn’t feel like driving so ate dinner in the restaurant. So glad we did! It was delicious! Our guest house had a common room with a kitchenette and everything available for a cup of coffee, which we took advantage of. Breakfast was excellent. Learn to eat like the locals and you’ll love it!

We really enjoyed the trip and visiting guest house. Very nice place, close to beautiful scenario, breakfast is amazing. Really beautiful sunrises, starts or north lighting at night. Pretty close to Vik and black sand by car. A lot of mountains around. Highly recommended.

Excellent location, with a nice restaurant attached for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are tiny with little place to do anything but sleep, however there is an ample community room with games, comfy chairs and a small kitchenette if you actually find yourself not out enjoying the area. Just 10 minutes from Skogafoss.

Without a doubt our favourite place we stayed during our week long road trip across Iceland. Such a lovely place with amazing staff and wonderful service. The location is so beautiful and if you are in the area to see the famous DC-3 wreck this is a short journey away. We all had best time and we would highly recommend it, thank you.

When got there around 9pm - the restaurant was closed but the Chef was still there and whipped us (4) up a wonderful meal - our first taste of Iceland. The rooms were small but cozy and the beds were comfortable. There was a common room with a kitchen that we hung out in during the evenings. It was quiet. Every employee that we came in contact was very friendly and accommodating. Great place and I would definitely stay there again. They have a working farm but it rained and was miserable the entire time we were there so we didn't have the opportunity to walk around the property.

We had a lovely one-night stay driving the southern coast. The staff was pleasant and professional and though the room was typically Euro small it was clean and appointed well with very nice bath products. Restaurant options locally are limited so we ate at the guesthouse's dining room and had a very nice meal; local lamb and arctic char, additionally the provided breakfast was ample. We would recommend it.

We were only there one night as part of a tour group, but from the time we arrived until we departed the next day, I absolutely loved the vibe of this place. We arrived, checked into our rooms and cleaned up for our dinner there on site that evening. The dinner was outstanding and the owner/chef came out and talked to our table for a minute. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were very nice and felt like an extension of a home, and to top it off, the owner let us meet him in the barn to see the morning feeding! He was a very nice and humble man and all I can say is that if you get a chance to stay here, try to stay longer than we did and meet and talk to the owner...I'd bet he has some great stories!
