Let me begin by clarifying that this resort is not located in Kasauli, but Dharampur. It is about 7-8 minutes off the highway into Dharampur. The approach is by and large fine except for the last 2-3 minutes drive during which you have to navigate a kaccha road. Since we just visited, part of that road was mucky due to rains. The resort is tastefully done and they have some great sit outs. Room service, be it housekeeping or F&B, was prompt, so high marks there. What we felt as a group (3 families) is the following: 1. The upkeep of upholstery and rooms was not upto the mark. For the kind of tariff you are paying, one would expect a minimum standard to be maintained. They really need to pay attention to this detail as word travels fast and they would for sure loose business, because I will not categorise them as a commercially cheap stay option. 2. Their menu choices were limited. Food was average in taste, however the portion size was very decent. As a resort, their menu should be well equipped to cater to kids, however their kids menu was extremely limited. On calling them and asking them if I can get Pizza delieverd through Zomato since they did not have Pizza on the kids menu, they initially resisted, however after arguing it out with them that if they are not ok for Zomato ro deliver, which btw a Taj and even ITC allows today, so does all tertiary hotels, they reluctantly finally agreed. 3. For the food menu, we felt for the taste, the items were priced dearly. So all in all, as I mentioned earlier, this is definitely not a mid-range resort when it comes to cost be it tariff or food menu. But you can still look at this property as an option for a short stay. Kasauli town or city centre where the mall road is located is about 35 to 40 minutes away.
