Best Western Smithfield Inn

Do not stay here while they are renovating. It's not just small renovations. It's a construction zone!! Horrible stay, I was told less than a week before our stay that because of renovations, that breakfast wouldn't be served. I should've been notified much earlier. The manager would only give a 15% discount for the "inconvenience." I've stayed at many hotels while they are renovating but this was more like a construction zone as soon as you walked in the lobby. If I had ANY idea it would be like that, I would have canceled but at no point in my calls or on the website was there any indication that it would be a construction zone. There was a strong smell of paint and also sawdust. If you deal with any kind of breathing issues, don't even walk in the lobby as it could be dangerous. I got in late with my children and we were awakened in the morning by at least 8am, by hammering, sawing, construction workers tromping around, etc.... Again, I was NEVER informed that this would be going on during our stay to where it would disturb us. This hotel should absolutely be closed at this extent of construction and no one should have to pay money to stay there. There door to the room had to be forcibly closed as it was not put in correctly. Extremely disappointed and I will not be staying there again since it seems the same management is staying on and clearly cares more about money than the customer.

The rooms are very clean & comfortable and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. This is our fifth time staying at this location as it is our go-to overnight stay when traveling from Fl to NY. Smithfield Best Western also has complimentary breakfast in the lobby starting at 6:30 AM

Although the hotel is undergoing renovations, it was very clean. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant! And as always, a great variety for a full self- serve breakfast (and really good coffee)! My hotel of choice for sure.

We've been staying here for many years and to our disappointment we found out they are switching hotel brands who will be allowing pets. My wife is allergic to cats and dogs and unless the pets have a specific floor to stay on sad to say we will no longer be able to use this facility.

Only stayed for one night for a baseball tournament. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and newly updated. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again. Wish we had had time to enjoy the pool. Very convenient location for food and shopping.
