We had two nights booked at this hotel but when we arrived discovered there was a mistake in dates on ******* and they had no room for us the first night and it was dark and late. Like most of TX, all known hotels were full due to graduations, etc., and the staff worked diligently to try to find us rooms, any rooms. We hung out for hours since nowhere to go. At the eleventh hours, two rooms became available and we were in, and Joel, who was on duty and our new BFF, not only called the one place that had rooms and cancelled them for us, but also gave us a considerable discount. He is a prince and knows how to charm people with his interesting sense of humor. His colleague, whose name I did not get, helped us cancel the ******* res. and rebook with this hotel. Great hotel, decent breakfast, and the fact that it is located smack in the middle of a new outdoor mall is another bonus. Our other hotel experience in Denton, TX, did not measure up and was a "Best" Western ( I will forever use quotation marks if ever I speak of BW hotels again). Maybe this Hampton spoiled us with their excellent and caring staff and fair pricing.

We have visited Tyler many times over the past ten years, and this was our first stay at this Hampton Inn. It is a newer facility in an area with plenty of food and shopping choices. The overall condition of the room was good, but the bathroom seemed much older than the room. The caulking around the bottom of the shower was black from mildew stains, making it seem unclean. The toilet seat looked like it had been cleaned with sandpaper, removing much of the original finish and making it look very old.

First impression was that it was very clean. Katy was a gem helping us decide where to eat and with our questions. Super breakfast spread- eggs, waffles, pancakes, biscuits & gravy and the usual yogurt, pastries and juices. Room was fairly quiet. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

I got ate alive at the hotel by bed bugs. I captured a couple and took them to the lobby to show the staff and they confirmed that these were indeed bed bugs. I went to the hospital and got treated for staph infection. The hotel manager told me that he would contact me about the issue so that it could be resolved but it’s been since June 2023 and he has not called or answered my emails. I assume he is just hoping that I would just go away but I won’t. Don’t stay here. It’s a reason why it’s so cheap

This was my 3rd visit to this hotel in 3 months. First time was great (August). Staff was friendly and room was sufficient. Second time (Oct. 14), not so much. Room smelled and food was left under table where ottomans are stored. I went down to the front desk to see if they could get someone from housekeeping to come and clean it up. The young lady working at the desk, rolled her eyes and did not even acknowledge my request, however, she came up with a broom and dust pan and swept the nastiness away and never spoke even when I thanked her...RUDE! Now for stay number 3 (this past weekend). Terrible from the start. Again, the room smelled (and yes it was a different room). Front desk was just as pleasant as the second time and the a/c was so loud it literally kept me up all night. In the future I will forego the convenience of location and find somewhere else to stay. Do better Hampton Inn. (Hilton)

It is interesting, many reviews indicate how nice the hotel staff were.. but said how dirty the rooms were and things were broken. I have to agree . The people that gave it a 5 star rating must have stayed on the 1st floor. They have 2 Elevators. Neither one has labeled floor buttons.. looked like they were melted off. The way the buttons were arranged, you had no idea where you were going.. went to two wrong floors before finding ours. 1st room was filthy, found a sock under the air conditioner, sink in bathroom was clogged, looked like a marker was used on the wall for graffiti… tried to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. Wound up in the room across the hall .. better smell, but bathroom door was a barn door style on rails and it was off the rails, so no bathroom privacy… reminded me of the airport hotel I stayed in while in Cairo in the late 70s. Never been so disappointed.

When I say hands down! This place was amazing, from front desk to housekeeping 100% I stay for 3 months because of work and I was literally at home here. I’m surely gonna miss the friendliest staff ever. My room was always spot on clean. And the breakfast was always amazing!
