"Breakfast is good . Manager very accommodating. Wish it was not fully booked or would be there more nights . Great location. Price is financial friendly . Whats not to like ."
"Hotel location is good, economical and practical hotel, the hotel is not far from the ramp up there is a supermarket, down is the bus station, go to Valletta to cross the road by bus 13.13A, go to Gozo and comino Island is but the bus stop on the road is 222, but the distance is a bit far, it takes 1 hour, After getting off at the end, you can go to gozo Island for a cruise. You can buy a ferry ticket for the return trip. You can also go to the small pavilion on the right side of the road. You can go to comino and then go to Gozo's speedboat. You can arrange your own time and finally Gozo returns by yourself. Breakfast is average, there are not many dishes. Service staff is very friendly and young"
"This was a lovely hotel in a great location but I had problems checking in: the booking was in my correct last name but my first name had been amended to Daniel! No idea where that had come from and hotel initially wouldn’t give me the room. I had to chat to an advisor at Trip.com who said the error was with a third-party. It was eventually resolved but I’ve still no idea how this happened.
Big room, very clean, nice pool and seating area overlooking the bay. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Plenty of local buses outside, heaps of restaurants and a nice promenade to walk along the coast."
"We stayed at a hotel in Valletta on a tour, but it was too small, so we moved to this hotel.
The facilities were old but clean, the location was good, and we had a great view of the ocean from the balcony.
There was a bus stop close to the hotel, so it was convenient.
There were also several restaurants, and the supermarket was less than 5 minutes away, so it was convenient.
The room was a standard room with an ocean view, but it was spacious.
The only downside was that only one of the two elevators was working, so we had to wait.
Other than that I was satisfied and would recommend!"
"Friendly and helpful receptionists welcomed us and accommodated us for early check-in. We were not expecting much of the breakfast but, we enjoyed the coffee, various tea selections, fresh fruits, salad, cheese etc… It was enough for us. We only stayed one night and the charge was reasonable in the peak season for a last minute booking."
"The hotel was excellent. The rooftop pool and sunbathing area was open in February and immaculate. All staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. They made the trip for us. They helped us with travel and were on hand with any query. The staff at breakfast were exceptional.
The room was immaculate and a great size. The housekeeping staff were excellent. We loved the balcony.
The spa was lovely.
We loved the reception area and the coffee machine.
The location was very quiet apart from the nearby construction. The sea is very close, which we loved. It is not in the busy area - which is superb. It is on the beautiful bay. We loved everything about it. Thank you for making it such a memorable stay."
"Cozy British Victorian hotel located on the hillside of Sliema, with two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool, a rooftop bar, large fitness room, spa & sauna, and lots of sun bathing seats. Located at a five-minute walk to the ferry port. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a fantastic sushi and asian food restaurant on top of the building. Special nights, like Maltese food nights, are served."
"super relaxing and literally right next to the hotspot of paceville where all the restaurants and shopping centres are, quick car ride to valetta and sliema, service was amazing and room was super super clean. very new hotel so everything was new and clean, they gave us wooden toothbrushes and nice smelling soap, ventilation was good and air conditioning was powerful, no swimming pool or balcony unfortunately but breakfast included and was very yummy, good selection of breakfast foods, service was utterly impeccable. rooms are soundproof so you can’t hear the music of the clubs from the outside. stayed there for three nights and enjoyed each one. would definitely stay again"
"The room is large and very clean, very close to the tourist area! We checked in early but they kept our things for us. The bed in this hotel is also very comfortable. I'm very happy"

Great
AAnonymous UserThere is hardly a better location in Sliema. The shopping mall is just 100 m away and the ferry is 5 minutes away.
We had a room with a sea view on the 9th floor - the best view you could wish for.
The breakfast was very good and everything was very clean and well maintained.
The staff are particularly worth mentioning, they are always friendly and helpful.
AAnnaStuff was very friendly. My room was upgraded and it was really spacious and the bed was really large. Breakfast was various and ok, not fabulous. What was really strange for me - there weren’t any staff in indoor pool area. You can’t leave clothes in the lockers and should take it to pool area. And you can take there only towels, so you need take a bathrobe and slippers from the room. It’s not a level of 5 star hotel.
GGuest UserLocation is good. It’s close to ferries and restaurants.
The amenity is must-have things such as hairdryer, mug, glass, coffee, kettle but no drinking water.
However, the unacceptable thing is that there is a stranger man using keycard (from whom???) and entered my room while I slept there. Luckily he went out of my room and asked is the issue solved? But actually I never reported any issue. this is 4 night-stay and this shocked event was on second date.
I ask reception to check the camera and he promised will get back to me with detail. However they don’t. No official apology from hotel and no update until I check out. I asked reception upon check out but advised no idea and depend on management team, maybe a mistake from the team about keycard? This is ridiculous for their actions and how professional they are. I do not recommend this hotel as they did not care guests at all. If that day is a th ief , I can’t imagine!!
CCBugejaThe room was very clean and well arranged. The furnishings seemed new and well maintained. The room was a bit small for the price, but it included a tiny kitchen with a sink, a microwave oven and a coffee machine. There were only 2 coffee pods provided. The bed was very good, neither too soft nor too hard, and the bed linen was truly luxurious. The hotel does not have a 24hr reception desk but one code opens both the main door and the room door. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would suggest this hotel.
GGuest UserVery cozy guesthouse that focus greatly on the customer experience. Yasser & Mila were gems that guaranteed us an excellent stay from breakfast till recommendations regarding activities! The guesthouse is well located close to restaurants and bus stop to explore the rest of the island. My partner and I definetely recommend to stay at The Maltese Sun once you're in Malta!
GGuest UserThe room is bigger than expected and very clean. The only fly in the ointment is that I wish the lights could be brighter. The staff are also very enthusiastic and gave a lot of travel suggestions. Recommend to everyone!
OOwen_DuWhat a splendid hotel! We spent a wonderful holiday here. Amenities were perfect, and the location was great. Only 5 mins to the ferry terminal. Also many lovely restaurants nearby. Staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend
YYeyunanxiaThe hotel boasts an excellent location. The airport shuttle bus stops at a station just a 5-minute walk away. Conveniently, this is also the stop for bus 212, which takes you to Popeye Village and Comino. There's a McDonald's and plenty of other restaurants right downstairs, with a David Supermarket just a 6-minute walk away. We had initially booked a twin room, but the hotel upgraded us to a triple room, which was wonderfully spacious and a pleasant surprise. The furniture, though a little old-fashioned, was spotlessly clean. The elevator is on the smaller side, fitting only two people at a time. You're also required to hand in your room key at the front desk when you go out and collect it upon your return. Right opposite the hotel, there's a pier where you can catch a direct boat to Valletta.
GGuest UserThe Hotel was clean, unfortunately my room was very noisy as it was off the kitchen all I could hear was banging doors all morning, people talking & stomping around, there is also construction going on in neighbouring buildings. my bed was uncomfortable I could feel the springs in my back so had a pretty terrible sleep, this place needs some updating & modernising. The location was great walking distance to everything.
YYurii_DreaIt’s been a rollercoaster with this hotel, and I was changing my mind about it a couple of times, but here’s the truth.
The hotel is not 4 starts for sure, but for what this price can buy in high season in Malta it’s a very adequate deal. Don’t expect anything fancy or anything beyond the most basic amenities. The hotel is good for staying there to sleep, but not spending time there. Don’t bother with the roof terrace either, pool and tub waters are murky and don’t seem sanitary.
I saw other peoples reviews and pictures and realized that I got the most OK room the hotel could offer.
My next door neighbor was chain smoking in his room, and firstly the reception staff refused to do anything about it and bluntly said to my face that they won’t enforce hotels policies.
But the reception manager next day helped me deal with the situation and was very nice and helpful in general about other touristy inquiries.
Haven’t had breakfast, so can’t comment.
Overall the hotel is okay for what it’s worth, but I recommend checking the room before accepting it just to be on the safe side. But it’s pretty obvious that it’s reasonable to expect what there is at this price point.
