Admiral Grand Hotel

This hotel is beautiful, very clean, great food and service. The pool area is nice and they look after you putting umbrellas up and giving you nice towels. Great to have its own private beach too. It was my birthday and they delivered chocolates all wrapped up nicely to the room, lovely touch.

My wife and I are just back home after a one week stay here with Jet2. I really don't understand some of the reviews about this Hotel , first of all there are comments about it not being a 5 Star Hotel, why are you surprised at that when you're Not Paying 5 Star Prices to stay here ? There are also comments about how Expensive the Drinks are , again it's a Hotel and Hotel Drinks are Always Expensive compared to a Bar round the corner. The Hotel is Big and Very Clean and Modern , every single member of staff we had contact with were Brilliant. Pleasant, Professional and Friendly, our room (141) was Great, a Large Double with balcony and Sea View, kept brilliantly clean by our lovely housekeeping lady. The pool and beach areas were very clean, well maintained with plenty of Sun Loungers. The Hotel is Definitely not what I would call 5 Star, a Good 4 Star + but not 5. The thing letting it down in our opinion is the Restaurant, Breakfast to be fair is fine, plenty of choice for everyone. Dinner on the other hand is another matter, it's a Buffet for all 3 course and to be fair the freshness and quality were fine , some of the dishes were a bit random but perfectly edible. As stated on numerous occasions they do not provide "Tap Water" at the table so you need to pay €9 for a large bottle, which isn't good at all. The worst thing about the Dinner Buffet are the Crowds and Rude Guests, to say it resembles a Bun Fight is an Understatement. We ate in the Restaurant every evening as like I said there was nothing wrong with the Food it was just not A la Carte. I honestly don't know what the answer is as the Hotel is so Big the only workable option is a Buffet. We would return no problem but only on a B&B Basis .

This was a great choice of hotel, Rooms are good, room cleaners were very helpful, the food was excellent every evening. Special thanks to Viktoria,she and her colleagues produced excellent meals every day. The pool is great, the beach and beach staff were very friendly. We hired a car from Dubrovnik for a few days to be able to travel to Split and Mostar. The bs to Dubrovnik is from right out side hotel. Good local bars next to the hotel with a couple of local shops. Overall, it was a great holiday. Not for kids, not much to do or kids. Highly recommended if you want to chill out. Thanks Martin. 165

Thile Admiral Grand is a beautiful hotel in a sheltered bay with a couple of restaurants and little shops. There are lovely flat walks either side of the hotel and a bus stop right opposite, which takes you directly to Dubrovnik for €3.70. The hotel staff are so nice and can't do enough for you. It is spotlessly clean and the beach and pool area are spotless too. The food is plentiful and there is something for everyone. The restaurant has the most beautiful views over the bay and sunset. The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean, with fabulous views. The cleaning lady worked so hard. As others have said, the only negative is that you cannot make tea or coffee in your room. You are not supposed to bring in your own drinks, or use the mini bar fridge to keep anything cool. Bit rubbish for a 5 star hotel. If they supplied a kettle and a couple of tea bags and it would make a stay here faultless.

Just returned home from a week at the Admiral. The Hotel is in a great location, overlooking the sea and mountains in the background, our room had a sea view and balcony which was so lovely, beautiful scenery. Bed linen changed frequently and cleanliness was very good. Bed was very firm however. The Admiral rate themselves as 5* but the food and service in the restaurant is clearly not to that standard !! Coupled with majority of the staff not being trained with regard to customer service. Of course there were the odd exceptions who were bubbly and helpful always wearing a smile, which is always good to see. Extra charge for water at the table & coffee was not really acceptable too. We purchased our own travel kettle for our room as enjoy an early morning drink before breakfast and not supplied in the rooms. The pool is chilly but nicely positioned, also the indoor pool is fab with steam room jacuzzi etc. May be wise to pre-book trips with TUI before arriving as we found several were sold out on meeting with the rep Kristina. Boat available locally but only on certain days and weather permitting. We took the local bus opposite the hotel, into Dubrovnik Old Town, a MUST SEE, the Old Town is remarkable and the views from the walls are amazing. Also some lovely gift shops and cafesars etc in the town. A very relaxing holiday in a beautiful location and TUI were very helpful,Kristina was knowledgeable, the TUI messaging service was helpful in the early hours one morning as we had to ask about a health issue and they got back to us immediately which is very reassuring. The airport transfers especially on the return were faultless.

We had a lovely visit to the Admiral. A great room, very clean with a beautiful view of the bay. This is a fantastic location if you are looking for peace and quiet (which we were). Polite and helpful staff. You can catch the local bus from outside the hotel into Dubrovnik or go by boat if you prefer. Others have made comments about the food. Our suggestion is to avoid having a bit of everything- choose your main and then it won’t feel so repetitive as you can have something different each day. It is trickier if you are vegetarian however, there is plenty of plain salad and vegetables so you won’t go hungry but would be excused for feeling bored with food options when avoiding meat and fish.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at Admiral Grand Hotel. It was our second visit came here about 5 years ago and it was just as we remembered. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are spacious and clean. The dining area is beautiful looks out over the beach so an amazing view round the bay. Last time we went in June so sat in the outside area which is lovely. Unfortunately the weather was a bit hit and miss this year so sat inside a lot but just as nice. The pool area is also lovely and plenty of sunbeds around the pool also on the beach as well. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the young man who was giving out the pool towels. He couldn't do enough for us very helpful. If you want a relaxing holiday this is for you. Not much going on in the evening and not many places to go locally. But suited us.

Hotel is set in a beautiful location views are gorgeous the beach is lovely and pool was all good . Hotel was always nice and clean . Restaurant was ok but if you have any food allergies forget it nuts in all deserts and didn’t really cater for vegetarians. Gym wasn’t very good and spa could do with an update. Sooo quiet at night after dinner finish at 10 and the hotel was dead after 11 o’clock my husband and I was sitting out by the pool and all the lights were switched off 😂 , there is a small square just outside the hotel with a little micro bar which closes early too , so this hotel is more suitable for older couples who go to bed early , we’re in our 50s and we found it very dead a night . The entertainment was three times a week with a man playing a piano in the foyer a band singing in the restaurant for 20 mins and a couple singing for a little while. Also not very friendly receptionist . So I give the hotel a 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ definitely no 5 ⭐️ For us the beautiful Location made this hotel .

Bad beds , bad food. Not for families at all. You have to pay 5€ for a waterbottle on the dinner even of you have prepaid dinner (half board). Bathroom smells like mold. There is nothing to do around, and even any swim mattresses are forbidden in the outside pool (cold water in inside pool also) I can not recommend for families.
