My husband & I had a delightful one-night stay at a charming hotel by the coast. The spa, breakfast, & the attentive staff made our experience truly lovely. They even surprised me with a small birthday treat in our room, along with a handwritten card. The hotel's blend of old and new interiors, coupled with its relaxing vibe, the polite & helpful staff made our stay memorable. It was our first night as a married couple so, this place will always be our special place.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with a large spa and private beach. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast with and dinner with very proffesional personnel. Rooms without aircondition however this did not cause a major problem. Highly recommended.

Kurhotel Skodsborg is one of Denmark’s best spa and wellness hotels, located in Skodsborg along Strandvejen between Copenhagen and Helsingør. We had an absolutely fantastic Christmas stay at the hotel, enjoying genuine Danish Christmas coziness and fantastic traditional Danish Christmas food. The accompanying spa and wellness area is of high quality, though not very large. It offers an indoor area with pools, saunas, and more, as well as an outdoor area with a cold-water basin and its own beach with a pier for winter bathing... delightful! The restaurants are top-notch, the rooms equally so, and the staff is polite and service-minded. A fantastic park, Dyrehaven, is within walking distance from the hotel. It is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Celebrating a traditional Christmas in high style is something Hotel Skodsborg excels at.

We have just returned home having spent 6 nights at the Kurhotel as part of a trip to Denmark and the Netherlands. We couldn't have been happier - we had a lovely room with a balcony over looking the sea and the room was just so comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The spa is such a relaxing place to spend the evening and we never found it busy. I had a massage one evening and it really was such a treat. Breakfasts are delicious. It’s only a 20 minute train journey into Copenhagen and the train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend the Kurhotel - a relaxing place to stay.

A beautiful hotel by the sea with an amazing spa, a private swimming platform out into the sea, lovely outdoor areas for relaxing in and really great staff who were unfailingly polite and helpful. The breakfast was really excellent and delicious. A short train ride from the city; a world away from stress.

GOOD The spa is wonderful. Spacious with lots of interesting areas and outside space. Great treatments. A pool for lap swimming in the basement. Staff, mostly young, are lovely and helpful The Lobby area is excellent, squishy sofas and candlelight. Very hygge. Breakfast is splendid. Lots of choice and replenished frequently. Design features in hotel are fabulous. NOT SO GOOD The spa is very busy at the weekend. Large parties of young adults making all areas very congested. My room - 134 - was the furthest away possible in the hotel. Next to a road, so noisy. Compared to other rooms it seemed quite basic so query over room allocation protocol? The Carl restaurant is an elegant space and efficient service. But limited choice over a few days.. Some dishes good but a lentil dish was dreadful. Some beluga lentils with a small hassleback potato, swimming in a watery pommes purée. Very overpriced.

The staff all deserve a huge thanks for their great service and dedication. They delivered fantastic service and ensured that our needs were met in the best possible way. A hotel, a restaurant -a SPA, can have its own special charm and beauty, but without dedicated staff it can easily become a soulless affair. I would say that the staff is the umami of any establishment and you have done something right in this regard. The staffs professionalism and friendliness truly made the stay even more enjoyable. A big pat on the back to the entire team for their outstanding efforts. Thank you, we hope to be back soon.

The hotel looked amazing when we arrived and readers should know that we did not use any facilities during our stay due to going here for a wedding. It all started after checking in. When we entered the room we were greeted by two pigeons who were about to nest IN THE ROOM. After we chased out the pigeons we saw bird poop both in the bed, the carpet and on the window ledge. We also saw a pile of branches were the pigeons had started to build their nest. We told the staff on the way out and they were friendly and apologized and would make sure to switch the bed linen. We came home late during the night after the wedding, only to enter a room that was hot as a baking oven. The windows had been closed to avoid another pigeon accident but there were absolutely no AC in the room and close to 30 degrees Celsius. The night was terrible, and we had to open the windows to have a chance to lower the temperature. After an hour of half-sleep the pigeons returned. I had to chase them out three times in the morning and ended up having 2h of sleep the whole night. Like a zombie I dragged myself down to the breakfast which was subpar for a place like this (but still far better than the room experience, as you might have picked up by now) We only stayed for one night and when we checked out we shared the full experience. The staff apologized again but we got no compensation whatsoever. I hope this is a rare exception, but definitely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

We went for one night ( breakfast and spa) it was really good, nice service, good food and great spa. We enjoyed ourselves. We had some good drinks in the bar, and the breakfast was good and a lot to choose from.
