This hotel was so lovely, mainly due to the pretty and artistic decor / rooms and the amazing pool area, also the view from the pool area was amazing, as it is in a high area on a mountain! The staff were so nice and helpful. It is a short bus / car journey to the town area but not in walking distance. Parking was close and convenient. Felt very at ease and relaxed here. Only thing wrong was we didn’t think much of the hotel food, as it was made to sound much better than it was, however we solved this by mostly eating out. Nevertheless, would highly recommend the hotel!

This is a difficult hotel to review because some things about it are so good and other things are very bad. Basically it’s in a lovely location with stunning views, has a very good pool, the rooms are clean (although they are a bit over designed with an emphasis on what looks good rather than what works) and the architecture excellent. It’s a bit of a pull up the steep slope from some of the rooms to reception and the restaurant so do make sure, if you have any mobility problems, that you’re booked into rooms near the main hotel. The shuttle bus to Skiathos town isn’t very reliable so car hire is essential. The chief problem seems to be that the hotel is seriously understaffed, leading to very poor service at mealtimes, particularly breakfast. If they can sort this out it will be a really remarkable hotel but at present it’s difficult to recommend. As the food is perhaps the best we’ve eaten on many visits to Greece, it’s a huge shame they can’t serve it efficiently. We saw several guests having temper tantrums as the service dragged on and on and the weary staff were clearly worn down by the volume of complaints.

Please don’t visit here the staff are unfriendly & the food was not gourmet ! Every night when we went for tea it was like an eating challenge as it was cold tasteless slop disgusting the worst place I have ever been ! What a rip off £ 10 for a gin& tonic no ice & lemon & flat tonic & small beers £6 ! Apparently they upgraded our room as it was our anniversary god know what the original room would of looked like ! They was shutting everything down as it was end of season & did we know about it ! The views was stunning that’s the only positive

This hotel is rated 4* but did not live up to its rating. There are 2 problems with this hotel; the owner and the location. The hotel provides a mini bus (the driver Arris is a darling) but the bus only depart from the hotel 3 times a day at very inconvenient times. The first bus is at 10ish and the last bus is 10ish in the evening. Taxis cost between 12-15 euros, so shop around. The taxi rank on the harbour are the cheapest. The owner has the knack of upsetting the staff on a regular basis and they react by making the guests wait and hour for their food and when it arrives it is cold. Because of her there is a very negative a**osphere in the dining room which makes everyone very uncomfortable. Although we had booked half-board at this hotel because of its location, we frequently ate out and added to that expense was a taxi ride back. The only positive about this location are the views but the rooms are very tired and unloved. Although this is advertised as an adult only hotel, there were 2 babies resident in our week there. There are much better alternatives nearer the town so look around first.

We booked a room in a 4-star hotel through Alpitour for our honeymoon, we were really disappointed with the service and the room we were assigned (there are hostels in South America with rooms 10 times better). Old room with rust in several parts and a broken electrical outlet coming out of the wall, bathroom with tub in which all the silicone had come off and many other details that if you're being ironic would make you laugh out loud. ATTENTION THE RECEPTION IS NOT 24/24, we arrived at 07:00 and we waited an hour and a half to speak with the "recepsionist / concierge / breakfast waitress". I could go on with many more details but be warned if they give you a juice in a half filled glass bottle don't worry no one drank the other half but it's the "hotel" policy :). We asked for a room change which was denied to us because it was "always too much", contacted Alpitour who treated us almost like fish in the face and wanted to make us pay a penalty for changing hotels, we reiterated that we only wanted a place that was worth what we had paid. Alpitour really shameful, we contacted our travel agency who solved the problem immediately at no cost by giving us a room in a real 4-star hotel.

Booked last minute with Alpitour, we had no problem with transfers to and from the airport hotel, the Alpitour contact person Michele was kind and helpful, for the hotel a really beautiful view!! the structure is pleasant, the staff polite, helpful, we arrived at 12.30, since the room was ready for 3 pm, while waiting we were offered a juice, and we could change and use the swimming pool while waiting for the room, we asked x to rent a car and within an hour our car was already at the hotel, discreet cleaning. x as regards the rooms, ours with a side sea view with a more than pleasant view, certainly it was not a suite but not a room either from 1 star hotel!! , of course there would be some improvement work to be done especially in the bathroom ..., arrange a drying rack in the rooms, make sure that in the room there is all that is described in the presentation, the breakfast was not a buffet, we were served by them , good but a bit monotonous, maybe trying to change could be a plus. So overall from 1 to 10 we give Kivo a 7.5. Greetings Ferrari Stefano and Rossella

The hotel is situated in an elevated position and has beautiful views of the sea and surrounding islands. You can even see the planes arriving and landing in the distance. It is really a pleasure to be able to have breakfast with this view in the morning and to see the moon rise in the evening. We also had a beautiful view from our room. The breakfast itself was served at the table due to COVID measures, so you sometimes had to wait a while. Especially for someone who had indicated that she had gluten and lactose intolerance, it was quite limited. You had to indicate whether there were alternatives such as egg or extra fruit. The staff was busy and sometimes gave the impression that they found it too hard. A more friendly smile and attitude wouldn't go amiss. That was also the general impression I had of the staff. There was not a very hospitable vibe that you would expect in a hotel like this. Except from Nota, who worked at the reception in the afternoons and evenings. She was an exceptionally hospitable young woman who accurately, quickly and reliably helped with all wishes. She made us feel very welcome and a little bit at home. The feeling you want to have when you stay in such a beautiful place. She is a gem for the hotel and indispensable! Melanie, who provided yoga classes, was also very nice. Ask her to teach a yoga class on the top floor. The view is even more spectacular and wonderful to come to yourself. The rest of the staff were friendly, but somehow aloof. Point for improvement! You can relax at the pool with large lounge beds. The rooms are simply but charmingly decorated. Good cleaning is done. When you are here you can take the shuttle bus to Skiathos town. The driver is nice and hard working. It is inconvenient that they only drive during the afternoon at 13.00hr and then again at 19.00hr. You can also get off at bus stop 6 Kassandra beach resort (just inform the driver) and take the bus from there to other beaches or to the beach on site. Stefano's water sports housed there offers all kinds of water sports and is very friendly and helpful. Recommended! From there you can also take the water taxi (3 euros p/p) to the port of Skiathos, where you can enjoy a delicious meal in the center! Also do a sailboat trip (pricey, but worth it) and a surrounding cruise to the islands to visit the beautiful beaches and swim in the warm sea water!

Usual story of overbooking, despite the fact that we had made sure through alpitour that the rooms booked in June were there. Total rudeness and discouragement. How disgusting . Don't come here. Because alpitur has washed his hands of it and the manager worse than them.
