Quiet location, stunning views,great room fridge,air con,spacious, kept very clean,lovely breakfast,friendly staff great poolside area,close to the beach,bus route,short walk to town perfect for us,the only negative was it's a steep walk to get to but we're in our 60,s and managed

Lovely small hotel with comfortable rooms, air-con etc in a quiet location. Nice choice for breakfast each day. Alexandra & Catherine were very helpful and would satisfy any requests as best they could. Lovely girls, the both of them. All in all it was a very relaxing break for my wife and I. Only one downside, the hotel is on a hill after which there are 45 steps to negotiate! So not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but once at the top, the view over the Aegean is fabulous! Highly recommend this place!

Amazing Hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. Great breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The views are stunning. Bus stop is just down the hill as is the beach. You can walk to town in approx 20min or €10 for a taxi.

The Irida Aegean View is a lovely small hotel with comfortable, well equipped, air-conditioned rooms, which are spotlessly clean. The hotel is situated in a quieter area on the outskirts of Skiathos Town, but right on the bus route, up a small but steep hill with outstanding views of the Aegean. There is a very good choice of food for breakfast and plenty of it, as well as a bar which is open up until 1.00 am and which also serves snacks during the day. The atmosphere in the hotel is excellent due to the friendliness, charm and professionalism of Alexandra and Catherine, who both go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. They were perfect hosts. I would recommend this hotel without reservation and if we visit Skiathos again I will make every effort to book the Irida Hotel.

Overall the Irida Aegean View is a decent little hotel, although could do with a little bit of attention in a couple of areas. We were only staying for one night on our return from 2 weeks on Skopelos, with a flight back to the UK in the morning. We wanted our last day to be relaxing b the pool, and this turned out to be the perfect hotel for that. With regards to location, yes it's a little bit further from town which means 5 min taxi (or bus) but both are readily available. During busy periods the buses back into town can be hard to get on, as people are returning from the beaches (usually towards the end of the day) and there is a bit of a steep hill to climb from the main road (but you are rewarded with a nice view at the top.) The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the day and were allowed into our room before the standard check-in time - which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was pretty good - eggs a few ways, pastries, fruits & yoghurt - lots of choice. The pool area is lovely, with nice loungers, seating & bar area (although the pool towels are getting a little threadbare!) The snackbar served the usual menu, but wasn't overpriced & was well made. My only gripes relate to the family room/suite we were in. The pictures online make the room look a little more bright & upmarket with some well positioned props/plants & toiletries in the bathroom. In reality the room was quite dark, with no toiletries in the bathroom. The bathroom furniture is quite dated and looking a little bit tired. The pillows were also quite hard & heavy. For the price we paid I think this could be improved on. But overall a positive experience, and a nice place to spend our last night in the Sporades.

We were staying at this hotel for one night after staying on Skopelos with a flight the next day. We had a bad experience at one of the restaurants in the Philian Group ( who will remain nameless but it was pretty bad!). We happened to mention this to the staff at our hotel (Catherine) and she then did everything she could to try to rectify the situation. We did say that it was nothing to do with the hotel but no - it was an issue with something in the Philian family and therefore they needed to sort it and make sure we were happy. “We are all part of the Philian family and therefore it also reflects on us” was a phrase used by Catherine! If any Philian management read this review - your staff at this hotel really do have the “wow” factor of customer service( & particularly Catherine) and do your group a great service! Your restaurant was well below the level shown here. Perhaps she should go and train them!
