Lovely spot in the mountains Great feel to the whole place and great staff . It has its own museum which is always a bonus. I only stayed one night passing through but will definitely pass by again . Great location for exploring the central mountains of the island . Nice little village 2 mins walk

My husband and I have today returned from a 2 night break to this hotel. What a surprise! This is a wonderful hotel. Smart and modern on the outside but the inside is an absolute gem. It is like stepping into an elegant high end hotel with amazing furnishings and so many antiques. Everywhere you looked was full of old domestic, agricultural and musical and naval memorabilia. The collection must have been a labour of love. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is spotlessly clean and the room was lovely. We travelled with our small dog and the hotel was very pet friendly. The pool looked lovely but we were not tempted due to the weather. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I've ever seen. Will certainly be back. .

Really good location, near to Preveli beach but still in the mountains. Nice hotel with great style! We spent one week in different hotels in crete, this one was the nicest. The price is also good....

We had a truly relaxing stay at the Alexander Mountain Resort! We rented an apartment, after a last minute accommodation cancellation, and found the nicest apartment with a shared pool to stay at in Crete. The location is close to some lovely tavernas (Apsida Tavern was a favourite of ours), offers a range of fresh food at the hotel, as well as delicious cocktails, tennis courts, mini golf and free parking too. We also spent a lot of time by the main pool, where we were provided with bottles water and could catch the sun for hours on end. The location, although in the mountains, is a short drive to many beaches and Kourtaliotiko Gorge! If you are looking for a relaxing and calm holiday in Greece, this is the perfect location.

Very nice hotel, spacious and super clean! Plenty of facilities and the multilingual stuff was willing to help us in everything we needed always with a huge smile. We spent a week there and we had the chance to experience the stunning surrounding area. The breakfast had a big variety of local snacks and plenty of choices at the bar as well. There is also an area with antiques from all over the world that is unique. We really felt like home and we are looking forward to return this year. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful place with various free services such as tennis and swimming pool. However, we were treated very badly: when we arrived at the hotel we discovered that we had a room with two single beds and not a double bed like the one we had booked. We asked to be moved to another room but our target rooms were sold out. They were disinterested in helping us, not even putting the beds together and giving us a double sheet... no apologies and even embarrassed us. We then asked if we could at least postpone our check out and they said there was no problem, but the following day we were kicked out at lunch time. Nice place but staff to review…

It is the fifth time we have visited the hotel and its suites and admittedly every time we are pleasantly surprised! Its luxury and facilities rival five-star hotels! Gym with fantastic massage chairs, golf course, tennis, basketball, playroom, swimming pools, bar, museum, great breakfast... Its location allows you to relax and explore the beaches of south Rethymnon. The owner invested in the place and its people with such generosity... a fact that moves me every time. Petros and Anastasia are simply the staff that every employer would like to have!

We had a very nice experience. Located in a small, quiet village in the middle of the mountains. It is perfect for those seeking tranquility and nature. Hotel is equipped with everything, large swimming pool, bar, games room, sports field, etc. The breakfast is very varied and delicious. Very friendly staff. Little extra, the shower with a good water flow was good for us! Small downside for the sound system. From our room we could hear everyone who passed in the hallway.
