Plataria Seaside Resort

A very bad experience for me. I returned to Plataria this year, after a wonderful experience last summer. We had breakfast there. The menu was different from last year and had no prices for the food. The waiter told us that the full breakfast, served on set tables where you could take whatever you wanted, cost €21. My daughter decided to have the full breakfast. My son and I each had pancakes, and my husband ordered some type of bread with eggs and salmon — I don’t remember the exact name. We also ordered a bottle of water, a cappuccino, and an orange juice. The bill came to €96. I couldn’t understand it. €96 - €21 (full breakfast) = €75. So €75 for two pancakes, bread with eggs and salmon, one cappuccino, one water, and one orange juice? I reacted very carefully and politely. They told me they had charged for 4 full breakfasts at €24 each. From €21 it had suddenly become €24? I explained that only my daughter had taken the full breakfast; the rest of us had not. I wanted to pay for the items according to their actual names and prices, as is done everywhere. They reduced the bill, apologizing, from €96 to €75. I thanked them, but it was obvious that this was a scam. I should never have ordered the moment I noticed the menu had no prices. They cheated me and ruined the very first day of my vacation. The sunbeds were extremely dirty and torn. The cocktail included with the sunbed fee was terrible — not worth it. I will never return there again.
