Just returned from a week at the Vasia Sea Retreat in Sissi. Although a few things weren't that great, we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as a quiet, well-kept hotel on the edge of the Sissi area. On arrival, we were greeted with a glass of fizz before being taken to our "Premium Inland" room, booked via our UK travel agent - this room type was not an option on the hotel website (only Premium or Inland), so we weren't sure what we would get. It was a first-floor Inland view room overlooking an old shack / junk pile with a partial sea view. It was not the "Premium" style as per the website pics, but it had been renovated. The bed and air con were great. There was a small fridge, ceiling fan, large TV, coffee machine, safe and a hairdryer. Bathroom sink and mirror in the bedroom (we didn't like this). Also, there are only 10 hangers. Rooms cleaned daily and given plenty of water bottles. Room towels were replaced every other day. Pool towels were also provided. Three nice pools - two for lounging and one for swimming. Pool beds were great, but by 8am, at least half were "reserved", and many remained so until the afternoon or occasionally all day (with nobody coming to use them at all) which was selfish and awful for those who couldn't find one for a few hours in the morning. Wished the hotel had a stronger policy on preventing this. Breakfast was a basic continental selection, same every day. Anything that was supposed to be hot was lukewarm at best, usually cold. The better items were the Greek yoghurt, honey, fruit, and bread. Evening meals were a la carte, and dishes were well prepared. They also have daily specials, which are worth considering. Drinks at dinner, even bottled water or soft drinks, are not included in the half-board package and were pricey. The pool bar was over-priced, so we only used this a couple of times. Despite the issues, the staff were exceptional. The housekeeping team were friendly and respectful, and the restaurant staff were warm and welcoming to everyone. So... unless you have an issue with leaving the resort (nothing is too far in Sissi), then I would recommend eating elsewhere. If you can, book a Premium room (or better) unless you are fine with what could be a disappointing view. Being on the edge of Sissi meant it was quiet at night - but shops, car rental and tour agencies, bars, and restaurants are all a short distance away.

Impressed from the first second we arrived to the last. arrived at 1am and were given a lovely snack and drink. room was spotless and well maintained. staff were exemplary. pools great. first hotel as you enter sissi, so nice and quiet . but only 15 min walk from town centre along coast road or main road. next to the sea where you can use free beds. but no sand and swimming would be difficult, very rocky. but lovely to sit and sunbathe or find a rock pool to lie in (natures jacuzzi). perfect spot to view sunset. free shuttle to a lovely beach. a few tavernas along main road and in town centre and some bars but definitely a family/couples kind of place. very small town. would recommend AMELIA, great food, staff, atmosphere, value. because its a small town off the main highway the local bus only runs once a day early. 9:30 out 2pm back in, so if you like to get out and about , book some trips or hire a car. there are taxis too. checked out at 11am but they allow you to get a shower and use hotel towels at anytime after that before transfer which was a nice touch.

If you are looking for tranquility, this is it. This hotel did not disappoint. First things first the staff are fantastic. They create a great welcoming calm atmosphere and will help you with everything you ask for. Everyone is very friendly and approachable starting from reception and ending with the gardeners. The hotel is at the edge of village so the only sound was the waves. Just perfect. We stayed for 2 weeks in a double with view of the sea. The view was beautiful. The rooms was a good size for 2 people. Could have done with some extra hangers for the clothes rail but I never actually got to asking for more as it was a mediocre issue. They did have the most comfortable pillows I have ever slept on. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels when required. It also had a small fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. The coffee and 2 water bottles a day were complimentary. I personally didn't use the coffee machine but it was there if needed. We opted for the breakfast in the hotel which was good. It had everything you might need. Fresh bread, fruit, veg and a small deli. Cereal, marmalade and the standard bacon, eggs, beans were available and looked fresh but I didn't touch them as I was in Greece and there were way better things to eat. The honey from the honeycomb with a variety of nuts and dried fruit and yogurt was more interesting to me. They also had fresh baked greek pastries that varied each day. The breakfast bar did a variety of eggs to order which were included in the package and a small selection of fresh juices and coffees. In regards to the pool we didn't stay in the hotel much but the couple of times we did it was very relaxing. The sunbeds are very comfortable and the pool is just the right temperature to cool off. There are not a great number of beds so you would need to get to the pool earlyish. The pool bar has a variety of cocktails and other drinks available and they also looked like they did lunch. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to the nearby beach Potamos. Nice sandy beach which we went to a number of times. The water is clear and warm and the beach is clean and well looked after. With a nice restaurant for lunch. The hotel is a very short walk from the villages which has great restaurants, bars, cafes and obviously stunning views of the harbour and sunset. You can take the main road or the sea side road to get there. All together a great place to stay. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is hugely underrated! We visited early July 2024 and had the most amazing time! The staff go above and beyond and the rooms and facilities are beautiful! Not on a sandy beach front but lots of great locations at the harbour (about a 10min walk) to swim in the sea or a free shuttle will take you to the beautiful sandy Potamos Beach (10min drive) on request. The stunning village of Sissi is also in walking distance and offers a large range of places to eat and souvenir shop to browse in. There is a larger, family hotel (VASIA RESORT & SPA) 2mins up the road where you can use the gym and spa facilities if you wish. Would highly recommend and you won’t be disappointed!

The Hotel is situated about a 15 minute walk from Sisi town on a lovely rocky sea front, putting it in a perfect location for a quiet relaxing holiday. We stayed in a premier double room with a sea view. The room itself though rather spacious had a 'strange' set up with the sink in the room and no wardrobe. Clothes storage comprised of a chest of drawers with 2 large drawers and a hanging rail with 10 coat hangers (the rail could have quite easily accommodated 30 hangers, thus solving the storage issue). The room was kept spotlessly clean by the hard working housekeeping staff. The beds were really comfortable and the air conditioning was probably the best we've ever had, assisted by a ceiling fan. The breakfasts were really nice (strange set up ordering your eggs off a menu but it worked!) and there was a good selection of food available. Again, the staff in the restaurant worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly. We went out most evenings, so only ate in the Hotel on a few occasions but when we did it was very nice. The pool area is very clean and quiet and the sunbeds are really comfortable, the main pool is large and the temperature was perfect when we went in June. The staff on reception are very friendly and always give a wave and a hello when you walk by. We had an issue with the front door and reported it to reception just before breakfast, who phoned the maintenance department there and then and told us it would be sorted straight away and by the time we got back from breakfast it was sorted. A really quiet and relaxing Hotel and we will definitely be going back.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Super friendly staff and a very relaxing atmosphere. Nice breakfast and a short walk to the Harbour. Supermarket just around the corner. The 3 pools are very clean and refreshing- sun beds very comfortable and a great pool bar with lovely food.

Just had a wonderful week at this lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and very willing to help and the buildings and grounds are immaculate. The three pools are well kept and as it was very quiet during our stay, sunbeds very plentiful. Breakfast was good, eggs cooked to order and a substantial buffet. As mentioned by others, the rooms are strange. Very small, washbasin in the room, very little storage and the bathroom door is a shower door with no lock. Definitely style over substance! However the rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day although our coffee and tea was not always replenished. Our ceiling fan did not work and although somebody came to look at it, it was never fixed. These niggles and the lack of storage are the reason I have only given four out of five for an otherwise near perfect hotel.

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel. Initially I was staying at another hotel which was really disappointing and after finding the Sea Retreat online I went to have a look before moving. Mario couldn't have been lovelier in patiently showing me three different room types to ensure I found one that met my needs - I was keen for a sea view. After moving hotels, I had the most relaxing experience in a junior suite. Room is well equipped with both AC and ceiling fan (with a timer which was great at night). The private jacuzzi is a real treat, and the pool, with the most comfortable sun loungers I've ever experienced, is only few steps away. All staff are friendly and welcoming with big smiles - even at the end of the season! I was treated to a thoughtful fruit platter and bottle of prosecco on my birthday, and this is illustrative of the care you receive there. You can use the spa and gym at the sister hotel - 5 mins walk away. The spa is heaven - although a little pricey (however you get a money-off voucher on check in). The gym is well equipped with a combination of free weights, and a range of resistance and cardio machines. The daily yoga/Pilates was really special. Listening to Anna's calm instructions with the sounds of the ocean in the background was gorgeous. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for something peaceful and relaxing with caring, attentive staff.

My daughter and I stayed recently, at the end of September 2024 for a week. From the lovely welcome when we arrived very late at night - a snack and glass of Prosecco - to when we checked out, everything was really wonderful and exactly what we needed, a restful relaxing break away following a stressful period of time. The hotel is spotless, the staff are all - without exception - friendly, beyond helpful and polite, the general ambience is peaceful and relaxed, and breakfast was great. Our ground floor room was beautiful, with a terrace where we could watch the sunset every evening - perfect! We loved our stay and thank you all very much. We hope to return again soon ☺️
