There is a lot to like about this hotel. First, the location is great, with wonderful views of The Pale. Its not right on the busiest street which means its a little more peaceful, but it is only a minute walk from the heart of town. The rooms are spacious especially by European standards, and there are mini fridges in the room which is greatly appreciated. Additionally, there are good activities planned each day. We went on organized hikes three days, which gave us the confidence to hike alone in a new place. There is also a robust kids program from what we could tell. We did not use the spa/fitness area so cannot comment on that. The main draw back is having to do the half board. We read the reviews of the food before booking and went in without high expectations. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and some of the dishes were outstanding (especially the venison ravioli, the pork shank and the fish stew). Breakfast was good by European standards. We appreciated having fresh fruit available at both breakfast and dinner. However, no one wants to have to eat all their meals at the same restaurant all week. Additionally, the cost, while in line for a 4 course meal at a high end restaurant, is too high for what you get. This is not a high end restaurant, and the food while good it is not high end restaurant quality. Further, the cost does not cover any drink, not even water, which is 3 euros a bottle. Even including non alcoholic drinks in the cover would help equalize the cost/value ratio. The Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful do speak English. Most of the wait staff in the dining area do not speak English. This area in general caters to Italians and there are very few people from other countries there (this was confirmed by our hiking guide). If you are looking for an area that caters more to English speaking clients, try other areas of the Dolomites - though you would be missing some great hiking by not basing out of San Martino.

The hotel has a good position near the village and the sky area. There is no private bus to take you there but public service, very busy during peak hour. Rooms are very basic, bed is so bad to let me have sore back all week long. Half board is as good as a School Cafeteria, service ok but quality of food pretty cheap. Lot of people screaming and shouting all afternoon long, personally I met drunken host in the aisle and nobody did anything to stop them. Spa on request not in the morning and by payment. This is 2 star hotel trying to improve but the way is still far.

I booked this with RCI a year before. Was never told that a ridiculous fee was mandatory! The resort wants me to pay a boarding fee of 770 euros for a weeks stay. ***!!! In the literture it states a fee of 50 to 55 euros period. It turns out that it is 55 per person plus per night! ***!!! It ruined my vacation! To travel all the way to italy and told that i have to pay a fee of 770 euros is a scam! That alone made me hate this place. Terrible communication! This place sucks!!!!

A fantastically fun and authentic family ski resort experience! Having never skied in Europe, this was our first experience, and it was delightful. The staff was the best part: every night, we were greeted before dinner announcing that evenings family entertainment downstairs. The front desk was very helpful with spa, ski lockers, directions, room heating, etc. The hotel location is excellent- across the street from the ski bus stop, 2 minute walk from downtown with great views. We read the information and talked to the hotel prior to arriving to confirm that breakfast and dinner are included, whether you eat there or not. It turned out to be a real bonus: not only is it super convenient to walk down from your room each evening for dinner after a tiring day of skiing, you get to sit next to the same people (mostly families) every night. This made the experience extra special: we got to meet several people who are now our friends! The food is good: consistent with the 3 star hotel rating. Each morning I had made to order eggs and everything you could want in a standard Euro breakfast. Dinners were hearty and nutritious. We would definitely return if/when we go back to Europe!

The hotel was a great disappointment, with no trace of Italian hospitality. The breakfast was poor and endlessly boring, with lots of pre-packed pastries and frozen pastries and instant coffee. There was no fresh food and no healthy nutritious breakfast. Dinner was a disaster. Starter of cheese and canned mushrooms, instant powdered soup, tasteless overcooked, unidentified spinach as main course with overcooked pasta, I wouldn't give my dog sausage and myrrh-coated dessert. The dinner was inedible and we indicated on our way that we did not wish to use it in the future, they did not indicate that we would have to pay for it anyway, only on the last day. Extremely poor customer service and they paid us for the entire 6 days dinner with a straight face. The mattresses in the rooms are as hard as a wooden board. Don't believe anything the receptionist says and any kind smile to your face. The town itself is wonderful, the ski slopes are fantastic, just don't stay here! If you don't stay here you'll be fine.

It was a nice staying with beautiful people in a great location! The surroundings are stunning! The rooms were clean and big. We had a big kitchen. The view was great. The food was delicious and various every day but it took a long time to be served.

Hotel is nice and rooms are good. The best expirience was signora Monica in the restaurant. She was friendly to us and our children. Together with the kitchen team she met all of our requests, and her service was above all expectations!

Ritorneremo!
