A resort type hotel in form of brick bungalow in Europe. It comes with a private pier where you could board on a comfortable boat going to Ortigia (the old town) in half an hour. The landscape there looks so gorgeous that anyone who lives in this hotel should miss it. It also has a private beach which can be accessed through a private tunnel which is quite interesting. Overall, a very beautiful resort overlooking the ortigia with very friendly services and 5-star facilities.

I would say it is one of the top hotels in Siracusa, location is about 15min ride from ortigia island but the hotel it self is great private beaches great service, very quiet and spacious. Regretted to only stay one night. Recommended.

I gave it a 4 Star because our experience got much better once we got into a renovated room but when we initially arrived I wanted to check out and was shocked that the rooms don’t reflect the pictures. So beware of the differences between renovated and unrenovated rooms. The unrenovated rooms look like they haven’t been touched in 25 years! Still old furniture and old furnishings. Based on what I saw of the unrenovated room, I would have given the hotel a 1 for physical condition as I would not have stayed, but the excellent staff, with a shout out to Luca, immediately moved us to a much nicer suite in a renovated cottage and once that happened our experience improved greatly. The Minareto is really a resort and excellent for families and larger groups. Since we didn’t really use any of the amenities, I wouldn’t stay here again and would prefer to have stayed in Ortigia closer to the god restaurants, shopping, and walking. Still, the dining experience, although quite expensive compared with nice restaurants down the street, was good, especially during our breakfasts. It’s a large property and it’s best to have a car to stay here. All in all, it can be nice for those in groups and who are looking for more of a resort setting. Staff was excellent.

Minareto is a well maintained hotel, somewhat outside Syracuse, so be prepared to either drive into town (20mins), take a taxi (40 Eur one way) or take the boat (25 Eur pp). Even though it is more remote, what you find is an absolute oasis in a beautiful setting with access to the sea either by a sandy beach or from a rocky area. We (family with teenagers) were most delighted by the friendliness of staff, every ask was responded to quickly and reception, room service, restaurant staff and house keeping did their utmost to make us feel treated VIP style. Pool area, villa and restaurant were spotlessly clean and ordering on WhatsApp was very efficient and fast. We visited end of October, it was more quiet and perfect to get some sunshine in. If you are looking for a place to relax but be close to beautiful Syracuse for amazing restaurants and culture and a good base for exploring southeast Sicily, Minareto is the place for you. Thanks for the amazing time we had at the hotel to all the staff!

The hotel area is really nice and cozy. the place is amazing. The hotel is a bit far from Syracuse, but we knew that. The hotel room was small and old-fashioned. The washroom was modest, worn out. It had no shelves or counter space. The offered detergents and supplies were of very poor quality. The hotel does not correspond to a 5* rating. The breakfast was great and of high quality ingredients. Lunch and dinner were good but there were few options. The staff was without exception very helpful, friendly and caring. The hotel was overpriced. One remarkable detail was that the hotel restaurant's billing method was invalid. When leaving the restaurant, the customer did not get a bill to check or sign!. Even on the final bill when we left the hotel, there was no breakdown of the restaurant bills - only the total amount of the visit.

We arrived at the Minareto by mere luck. We walked out of the previous hotel that markets itself as a 5 start and barely makes it to one. In the desperation of finding a place for four days, the Minareto gave us a solution for all (five in the family) which resulted in an incredible time. They offered us a villa where we all could fit comfortably with all the amenities and a complete kitchen. The accommodations are extremely good. The villa was fantastic, and the regular rooms (we visited two types) are also very good. The bathrooms products are top quality, the towels and all the other things are also excellent. The property is located at the end of the closing arm of the Siracusa port entrance, giving you a fantastic view of the Isola de Ortigia, the most important element of Siracusa. It offers a full serviced beach with the beauty of the Mediterranean sea water, plus other locations where you can enjoy the sun and the sea. You will not have to rent a boat to contemplate the marvelous sunset since you’ll be able to do it from one of the terraces with a full service bar at your disposition. Also, hotel has a paid service to take you to Ortigia, which will allow you to enjoy the historic part of Siracusa without the hassle of parking the car. Breakfast is served as buffet with a complete range of a la carte options. We enjoyed dinner at their flagship restaurant in the terrace contemplating the sea. The quality of the food plus the wine list was memorable. I would like to make a special mention that the service from the cleaning staff was one of the best I saw in this trip through Sicily. Also, when we asked if the house had some type of portable speaker (the house has a big terrace/garden with a pool to enjoy), that we could put outside to listen to music while sitting there, the housekeeping personnel told us they had none. Less than an hour later, the gentleman from the front desk appeared at the house with a brand new JBL portable speaker that they bought for us. I must mention that my surprise and my admiration for the hotel management went to another level. When you sell luxury service to your clients, this type of “out of the park home runs” take you very far. Again, I express here my gratitude to property staff for the wonderful time they provide us (we returned the speaker at check out). If you’re planning to go to Siracusa, either with the whole family or with your partner, don’t hesitate to stay here. You will not regret it.

Came here with One Hundred Skies Yoga (can’t reco enough!) and have never had better service in my life. The WhatsApp was answered so fast every time, I barely had time to punctuate my sentences. Lovely pool, delicious food, outrageous views. Nice rooms/beds. Special shout out to Saki and Duminda who took amazing care of us!
