Beautiful! Who wants to stay in a motel, when you can stay here?! Love the ambiance of the 1800's yet comfy and peaceful. It's right next to the Pettigrew House/Museum; (a Must-See)! And is amongst the Cathedral Historic District; drive around and look at all the beautiful Houses! Close to downtown Sioux Falls with more historic buildings, fun shops, and restaurants. The price is comparable and reasonable. My husband and I had fun!

Great customer service! Nice, clean, highly recommend! Was very appreciative of how well my family was taken care of on our trip. Will stay here again. Everything we needed was there for our use. Close to food and entertainment. Safe neighborhood.

Tired of hotel rooms, I booked the Historic Victorian Inn on the fly hours before arriving in Sioux City. Steve, the booking manager, was phenomenal and had us vetted/booked in about 10 minutes - all from a remote location (and on a Sunday afternoon to boot). The Inn itself was just as described - full of character and charm. The location was superb - within walking distance to the downtown area - Mackenzie River Pizza was quite good. Nice place and quite the value. I would stay again.

I probably should not go this low but it was pretty disappointing. Even though, the owner or manager sent me several text messages concerning my stay. The owner should stay in the rooms and bring a critical eye to the table. Old can be charming but just be it's old does not mean it's charming. The toilets are tiny and could easily be updated. We had no shower. I am not a bath type of dude. Again, an easy fix. Put a hand held shower in the tub. Replace the curtains. My god, is the hotel that under water you can't buy some inexpensive blinds or shutters? I have a feeling the owner bought this as a way to make money and not as a loan or of love in restoring a historical property. So, in that case I would stay at a Holiday Inn.

My siblings and I rented this house for a family getaway as a Mother’s Day treat for our mom. The house is gorgeous and furnished in mostly period furniture. We felt safe, even sat on the porch after dark. Everything is very clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were so soft they felt like velvet. The owner was very pro-active about being in touch and making sure everything was all right. As the house was built in 1888, it’s important to know that there will be “glitches” and things won’t be perfect. There are places that need fixing but I am sure they work on it as they can afford. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
