Best Hotels near Tokyo Games Station, Singapore

Good hotel but room will be a bit smaller than you think. They only give body towels (no facial or hand towel) and do not have “do not disturb” sign

Booked this IBIS hotel Joo Chiat for my guests visiting Singapore and attending a boxing and Muay Thai fight event next door at the Fight Pro-Motion gym. Location is good with many shops and nice cafe.

receptionist was friendly, indicated that I booked the stay for the purpose of celebrating birthday and they were nice enough to send us a surprise cake 😇 rooms were exact to picture, facilities was all working fine and overall the stay was very pleasant 👍🏻 definitely will return and lots of great food choices/cafes within the vicinity

The overall service of the hotel was excellent. They welcome us with complimentary chocolates when we told them we were there to have an early birthday celebration for my wife. They sent their staff to help us when we could not connect our mobile phone to the TV. Not forgetting the excellent views from infinity swimming pool and room. They made the stay pleasant for us. However, they could improve on telling guests how to get to the Skypark. The staff of the club were not too friendly when we lost our way and asked for directions.

A hotel past its prime for what it was marketed for. Pros: • hotel has Sentosa feeder Bus A and B right outside and a free shuttle bus to Beach Station and Vivo City • scored an early check-in on a Friday morning with bath tub. Thank you! • the pool came with balls, hoops and a mini goalpost. What we felt could improve: • they were marketed as kids friendly hotel where kids are also allowed to participate in the check-in process (many local reviews highlighted that). However, we saw none of that happening despite a really low-volume crowd. There was nobody behind me in the queue. And of the many times we passed by reception, the kids friendly ladder stool was a white elephant, and we did not see any kids checking-in. • did not see any of the mini hotelier program happening. • the pool’s anti-slip mats were really grimy. It’s pretty gross and you could see green algae forming on some parts of it 🤢. Not to mention the grime also makes it less anti-slip. • the “lazy river” is barely lazy at all? There were no tubes available to laze around in the river as marketed. What we saw though were guests using life buoys which were quickly taken away by the pool staff. Why call it a lazy river when you walk through it? It’s yet another white elephant. • the hotel breakfast is nothing much to shout about. The hash brown was oily and not crispy at all at early 8am! The nan was cold. Skip it if you don’t need the convenience. • hotel wifi was not stable enough to cast shows from the iPad to the tv. Only local channels were available. Think I was gullible to believe the receptionist that if I signed up for email promotions, I’d get more stable wifi LOL. What a lie. To be honest, I always love to stay here. For the price, the room is quite spacious and the facilities provided were quite adequate. Location wise, it's minutes away from town and the expressway. Since the location is at Newton, numerous attractions and foodie spots are nearby. Even its an old property, Hotel Royal Singapore, is generally clean. Comfortable bed and pillow is very important to me and this property had never fail. The pillow is to my preference and many of my friends and relatives experience a good rest as well. The staff here is friendly and I just believe in ”treat people well and people will treat you well.” They do have big groups at their properties so do be patient at the counter or do check in early. Last but not least, I will like to extend my sincere thanks to Alice. She is one of the property back bone that ensure the guest is attended and given the best that she could give at the moment. It’s actually more like a chalet than hotel for it’s no frills accommodation and amenities. But I really appreciated it’s green design in a natural setting, and it’s convenient location. The pool was a delight, different from most hotel pools, even had a warm jacuzzi and slides, yet felt like we’re in nature with a real waterfall! Breakfast though simple was good enough. They even had lion dance performance whilst we dined!

Folks and I stayed a night at Hotel Mi Rochor. Prompt and fuss free check-in and we got our rooms on the same level as requested. Though the room was fairly small, but it's really adequate for two guests even with luggage. Beds and pillows were firm and clean, to our likings. Both rooms were really clean and there's an additional tap for premium drinking water, and there's kettle available for warm water and hot beverages. The toilet/shower is small, but the tap/sink is situated outside the toilet, so that's convenient. It was pouring the whole day, but that didn't deter us from heading out. I overheard that the hotel doesn't provide any umbrellas, but you can purchase raincoats/umbrellas at the 7-11 situated right next to the hotel. We had ours, and we headed out for our lunch and dinner at Waterloo and Bugis areas, just 5 - 10 minutes walk away. Rochor mrt station is just next to Hotel Mi, so we could also reach Marina/Suntec area within 5 minutes. I like this location as it's just walking distance to the main streets for F&B/shoppings/sightseeing activities, but yet we are away from the noise and buzz. So we could have good quiet early rest.

Very clean conveniently located right on orchard road. Staff were great and prompt with service request. Shopping belt atyour doorstep and all the good food. There's even a 24 hour Cafe below outside the hotel. Great value for money. Would definitely book here again!
