Best Hotels near Loyang View Playground, Singapore

Go here only if you are able-bodied and able to climb stairs, looking to escape humanity and don't mind the lack of facilities or having to take a shuttle bus to get anywhere, including the nearest place with shops, Changi Village. As other reviewers online have said, it is quite a walk to your room. This would have been fine with me if the lift hadn't been down for our first day (before we arrived, there was a hotelwide power cut), so we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to our room from level 3. To get to the pool (at Civil Service Club Changi I, pictured) or Pasir Ris MRT, you need to take the shuttle bus too. As this is an events and conference hotel, the conference hall just behind the lobby has constant drilling all day while backdrops are being set up, making the lobby not so relaxing to sit in. Our room had a mini-fridge and was quite big, amenities inside were fine, with the usual dental kits, shower caps, soap, and the Nespresso machine was an interesting addition. The hotel restuarant White Olive is expensive for the area and seems quite desolate and empty after breakfast though it is manned. The breakfast buffet there was good though, just that the coffee machine runs out of coffee by 915am and staff do not check on this even though breakfast is from 7am to 10am. There is a chef cooking fried eggs. Proximity to Changi Boardwalk was interesting. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to the disabled or elderly, or people who want a happening stay. This hotel is for people who just want to escape the city.

Located in Jewel Changi Airport. Our room is small but clean and quite surrounding. The room is perfect for getting a good sleep while in transit. Not able to take a photo of the room but it is near to Jewel Changi Rain Vortex.

This part of Singapore was so different from the Singapore heartlands that a staycation at Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore could feel like a vacation outside Singapore. The staff at Dusit Thani were polite and tried hard to make our stay memorable. They made an excellent start by letting us have the room early. The room was well designed with clever space utilization, such as the long bench table, the bench for sitting, and best of all, the bench in the shower cubicle. We also enjoyed the dinner buffet, especially the double-boiled soup, at the Greenhouse, and the convenience of the shuttle service to the Jewel. It was a thoroughly enjoyable staycation/vacation. receptionist was friendly, indicated that I booked the stay for the purpose of celebrating birthday and they were nice enough to send us a surprise cake 😇 rooms were exact to picture, facilities was all working fine and overall the stay was very pleasant 👍🏻 definitely will return and lots of great food choices/cafes within the vicinity

Good hotel but room will be a bit smaller than you think. They only give body towels (no facial or hand towel) and do not have “do not disturb” sign

I highly recommend this hotel to families travelling. It is so near shops, restaurants and mrt station (lavender). Although room is quite small, it offered what we need, the bed, smart tv, shower and toilet. We didnt get to use the pool due to our very limited stay in SG. Our room AC was not working when we arrived very late at around 12 mn. My toddler was sweating. In the morning, we had it fixed by maintenance and it was working fine after.

The overall service of the hotel was excellent. They welcome us with complimentary chocolates when we told them we were there to have an early birthday celebration for my wife. They sent their staff to help us when we could not connect our mobile phone to the TV. Not forgetting the excellent views from infinity swimming pool and room. They made the stay pleasant for us. However, they could improve on telling guests how to get to the Skypark. The staff of the club were not too friendly when we lost our way and asked for directions.

It’s actually more like a chalet than hotel for it’s no frills accommodation and amenities. But I really appreciated it’s green design in a natural setting, and it’s convenient location. The pool was a delight, different from most hotel pools, even had a warm jacuzzi and slides, yet felt like we’re in nature with a real waterfall! Breakfast though simple was good enough. They even had lion dance performance whilst we dined!

A hotel past its prime for what it was marketed for. Pros: • hotel has Sentosa feeder Bus A and B right outside and a free shuttle bus to Beach Station and Vivo City • scored an early check-in on a Friday morning with bath tub. Thank you! • the pool came with balls, hoops and a mini goalpost. What we felt could improve: • they were marketed as kids friendly hotel where kids are also allowed to participate in the check-in process (many local reviews highlighted that). However, we saw none of that happening despite a really low-volume crowd. There was nobody behind me in the queue. And of the many times we passed by reception, the kids friendly ladder stool was a white elephant, and we did not see any kids checking-in. • did not see any of the mini hotelier program happening. • the pool’s anti-slip mats were really grimy. It’s pretty gross and you could see green algae forming on some parts of it 🤢. Not to mention the grime also makes it less anti-slip. • the “lazy river” is barely lazy at all? There were no tubes available to laze around in the river as marketed. What we saw though were guests using life buoys which were quickly taken away by the pool staff. Why call it a lazy river when you walk through it? It’s yet another white elephant. • the hotel breakfast is nothing much to shout about. The hash brown was oily and not crispy at all at early 8am! The nan was cold. Skip it if you don’t need the convenience. • hotel wifi was not stable enough to cast shows from the iPad to the tv. Only local channels were available. Think I was gullible to believe the receptionist that if I signed up for email promotions, I’d get more stable wifi LOL. What a lie. Our stay at the hotel was nice. Workers at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was tiny but rather cozy.
