Well located hotel, nice brewery across the road and tasty street food nearby. However the rooms were unbelievably small and because of this I felt claustrophobic. There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom and I noticed some small bugs jumping around the shower when I first arrived, but flushed them with hot water. If it's location your after then this is it, but if you want somewhere to enjoy your stay, maybe choose another hotel.

Grab the stay during Trip.com deals. Happy with the SG60 deals. Bed was comfortable and location was good. I feel room amenities can be improved...
Room layout as show on photo however the toilet design can be better. There is no way i can enter the toilet and head in to the shower room... too cramp.

Service-wise, the reception team gets the job done efficiently, but they really lack the human touch that makes hospitality feel warm and welcoming. They’re polite, but everything feels very transactional — more about completing the task than genuinely attending to guests. When I arrived, I asked about early check-in and was told there would be a fee of SGD 90, which I understood. However, when I tried to clarify whether the rate would differ if I checked in 3 hours earlier versus 5 hours earlier, the receptionist immediately jumped into defending the policy instead of addressing my question, which came across as quite defensive. Later, I also witnessed a tense exchange between the staff and another guest who was charged for a late check-out. From what I overheard, the guest mentioned she was sick and had overslept, which was why she missed their calls. Still, the receptionist insisted on the charge and said everyone is treated the same, especially since it was the F1 season. It felt unnecessarily rigid and lacked empathy — something you’d expect more of in a hospitality environment.
That said, the facilities and amenities were excellent — everything was clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s just unfortunate that the overall experience felt less pleasant because the service didn’t match the quality of the property itself.

I was very disappointed by this hotel.
Let me give the pros first, then we can talk about the cons which are many and diverse but focus on one aspect mostly with many branches I guess.
Pro:
- the staff was kind and helpful to the best of their possibilities (limited probably by upper management? Just a guess)
- the location is right I'm between Chinatown and Marina Bay area.. Definitely walkable distance from both (if you don't mind the weather and are a walker)
- free bottle of wine (I don't drink alcohol) and little lion plushie (so cute!) as a free gift
That's it. Now to the cons:
- the furniture and structure is old.. An it shows. I guess if you come here expecting a high tier 4 star hotel as the Singapore hotel seem to be, you'll be heavily disappointed. Switches, wardrobe, carpets, safe, everything is clearly old
- I originally got a business executive room (floor 20) and was so disappointed that I had to complain... It was definitely NOT on par with what I was paying. Admittedly this was during the F1 days so this makes thing a bit more reasonable since prices are crazy everywhere during those days, but I was staying here 10 days and it was not acceptable
- after complaining the Staff kindly upgraded me to a premium room (floor 17) which was slightly better but still insufficient... This room admittedly had a very nice view on the city with a big window, and a nice cozy bath tub.. But that's about it, everything else is still true
- I couldn't use the restaurant since I quickly passed by but the food wasn't too interesting to me so just went for a Korean BBQ nearby.. So that's up to you. There were people eating there and seemed satisfied though :)
Overall if this was a 3 star hotel and way cheaper then I would have not complained, but again for the price and the category not enough for me.

An Airbnb style hotel that makes you feel like you rented an apartment instead of a hotel room. The location is super great, right at the centre of Chinatown. There is a Starbucks and an 7-Eleven downstairs, and lots of local shops. But there is no elevator to the front desk or rooms, so you have to climb some stairs. Windows are not sound-proof so the crowded street can be noisy sometimes. Everything is quite self-serviced only and cleaning services are only provided weekly. They do offer luggage storage though.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for getting around. The property is newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and well maintained. While the rooms are rather compact, they are comfortable and well kept. The reception staff were polite and helpful, making the stay pleasant overall.

This designer hotel in Singapore boasts a distinctive decor with stylish furniture and well-designed amenities. Perched on a hillside, it features a French-style garden with elegant archways and is surrounded by several Korean bars. On the downside, the rooms are quite small, and the value for money is only average. The lobby is also rather compact. Service was decent, and a nice touch was the ample supply of stylish bottled mineral water. Despite some drawbacks, it brought back some fond memories.

I booked Deluxe Single Room but they gave me a free upgrade yeay! They gave me room 206 and I think it's Deluxe Double Room. I'll try to give the pros and cons while I'm staying here:
Pros:
*All staffs are friendly (Qistina, Pravita, and other staffs that sadly I didn't ask for their name). They always greeted me whenever I stepped out from the lift and they are all really helpful and proactive.
*The room is very clean! Michelle and her team are working so hard to clean the rooms. I paid attention that they mostly started to clean my room after lunch. Every afternoon, the staff will knock your room to give an afternoon tea (raw sachets) and candies for you with a handwriting letter. From my observed, the letters were different everyday. Thanks Rabiatul for writing such a beautiful letter for me.
*The AC works too perfect until I feel cold. I really hope they can change the position of the AC so it's not directly facing us (this is one of the cons)
*The building is newly renovated and the vibes make it feel like home. The light isn't too bright but not too dimmed either. I always tried to find hotel with this kind of vibes wherever I'm staying at. The light is light yellow.
*The laundry machine is easy to use (because some of the hotels provide a complicated laundry machine).
*It's quite close to MRT station and Chinatown which is a really good point.
*The staffs didn't make it hard for me when check-in & check-out. Definitely no drama at all.
Cons:
*Some of you may feel the room will be too small. For me, the upgraded room was perfect for a solo traveler like me. However, I must say that it's better to not book this room if you're coming with your partner as it will feel cramped. I've stayed in much smaller room than this so I really didn't see this as a burden.
*The pillows are really the big downside that they need to urgently pay attention to. It's soft but it will make your neck ache after using it for hours. It's really uncomfortable for me to the point I better to sleep without the pillows. It's better to change the pillows into brand Tempur since you already set your standards so high in your amenities so why don't set it high for your pillows too? :)
*I'm a light sleeper and very sensitive to sounds. I've been really scared because most of the reviews mentioned it's so noisy outside. To my surprise, I didn't hear any noise at all at night (?) but yes the trains are always going back and forth and it's vibrating my room. I remembered my room felt like shaking on my first 2 night here. However, I didn't feel it that much anymore after that, at least I didn't feel it ruined my sleep. The pillows did, not the noise :”(
*If you like to eat your food inside your room especially on the floor, please prepare yourself to eat it right in front of your bathroom. I was well trained from my previous hotel so I don't think this is a big problem but maybe you will.
*Some of you may feel the bathroom and toilet are too small but for me it's really fine (maybe I've experience in smaller room than this) :( But I really feel you still can move your body pretty freely though.
Lemme confess, I was spending my time to search almost all hotels in the city and there were several times when I wanted to cancel the book here for another hotels. But I was glad I didn't do it. I am not sugar coating my review, this is my pure feeling about this hotel and I will definitely stay here again. To be honest, the hotel selection in Singapore isn't plenty and most of them have similar negative issues. However, I tried my best to sort the best for myself and though I once hesitated, I am glad that I stay with Claude Hotel <3.
For Claude Hotel, there's still room for improvement. Please, consider change your pillows soon. I hope the business can be survived in the long run and I'll see you again!

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station. The room was quite spacious and clean. My only minor complaint is the poor soundproofing. Otherwise, everything was good.

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had a fantastic, pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the bathroom was especially beautiful and we loved the bathtub! The garden-themed furnishings added a charming touch that we really appreciated. There was also a complimentary birthday cake delivered by the staff as well, which we appreciate :)
We had requested a room with a nice view and were pleased to be given a high-floor room (Level 14) overlooking the Padang which was a lovely touch.
One small point of feedback: we noticed that the toiletries provided (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner) were manufactured in 2022. It would be great if these could be refreshed to ensure the best guest experience.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would be happy to return.

FFrequent Flyer FyA perfect stay. The room was excellent and had a nice view of Duxton Hill. It was in a very new condition and the bed was very comfortable. The interiors are well designed with a nice character. The breakfast was good and had a daily special item. The location is really convenient. Highly recommended.

WWeiweichongyaService: We arrived at the guesthouse at 11 PM that night. The hotel staff was a foreign guy, and since our English wasn't great, he thoughtfully used a translation app to tell us about the important details and even personally escorted us to get water. We were really touched by that.
Overall, considering how expensive land is in Singapore, this room offers pretty good value for money. It's also quite close to the subway station, making it easy to find.

VVathanakChounwonderful experience at this location. The capsules were impeccably clean, which was a great relief. Overall, I was highly impressed with the cleanliness and the efficiency of the digital processes. It definitely enhanced my stay and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and modern accommodation option.

NNicolaKThis place is perfect for backpackers. I even had a suitcase, and it wasn't an issue. There are always friendly interactions with other guests, and the staff are incredibly helpful, always ready to assist. The value for money is great, making it suitable for both short and long stays. Showers and toilets are shared facilities. It was a new experience, and I made many new connections. Thanks a lot!

LLet’s Go Solo!Great location and rooms and beds really comfortable. I had the room with a bathroom…shower is really tiny but manageable. Room was really great. Bed comfortable and TV that connected to YouTube. Only downside I could hear whenever someone used the bathroom in the room next to me - the running water from toilet. Otherwise for a short stay would definitely recommend due to location and easy of check in and check out.

TTedzhangFacilities: Excellent, and a definite plus was having a window.
Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. However, the shared bathroom was a bit inconveniently located, requiring a short walk.
Location: The surrounding area is incredibly convenient and well-equipped with amenities. You'll find supermarkets, a shopping mall, and coffee shops right downstairs.
Service: It operates on an entirely self-service model.

EelcelcLocated within walking distance from Maxwell MRT. Accessible to many cafes and there is a 7-11 just located opposite of the hotel.
Room is quite small so it will be quite difficult to move around if there are multiple luggages. Basic amenities are provided such as toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, shaving set & shower cap. However noted that there are no mineral water provided (Evian water is chargeable). There is kettle in the room so you can boil your own water or get it from 7-11 just across the street.
Visible worn out look and dust is seen in the room. Also, noted some ants in the washroom. So cleanliness can be improved.
Our room comes with access to their executive lounge but certain service such as afternoon nibbles are only available at Maxwell Reserve (walkable distance). Pool and gym are also only available at the other location. Breakfast and evening cocktail is available in the hotel itself.
If you're looking for a boutique hotel with unique design, can consider to stay a night as it is located near to many food areas.

MM612264****The service was pretty good. The accommodation is in a combined restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs. The environment is nice, newly renovated. Another guy couldn't stand it and left, haha. I also felt it was a bit too much. I hope the owner can improve ventilation. Luckily, the air conditioning was always on ventilation mode.
After ordering, you can just go to the first floor and find a staff member.
Cleanliness: Clean. Disposable toiletries are self-service.
Facilities: Complete. Charging stations are readily available.
Environment: There is a separate rest area outside the accommodation, which is a plus.
Service: Chinese is available, and if not, they use a translator. They are friendly to Chinese people.
Facilities: The air conditioning is set to 24 degrees Celsius. The central air conditioning cannot be adjusted, so this temperature is OK. There are also small electric fans outside that you can bring in.
The breakfast was excellent. You can choose your own, and there's also a free snack buffet.
This is very cost-effective. I hope the owner continues to maintain this level of quality.
