Hotels near SBG Heritage Museum in Singapore

I went for my wedding anniversary staycation with husband and they surprise us with a free upgrade into one bedroom suite. They so sweet that handwritten a card for us and deco our bedroom. Overall the room and toilet are very clean, they also resolve problem very quickly. Will definitely book this hotel again

Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. We got a room with beautiful view of the pool and buildings in the surrounding. Service is good and amenities well provided. There is a new mrt station just across the hotel so it is very convenient to go around. Will stay again in future.

Highly recommended hotel..friendly staff..spacious room nd very clean....nd the hotel was so nice..me nd hubby had a great experience in this hotel as we celebrate our new year together nd stay in this hotel....we tried using swimmimg pool nd thiwr bars not too expensive..

Good hotel but room will be a bit smaller than you think. They only give body towels (no facial or hand towel) and do not have “do not disturb” sign

We made reservations at Orchard Hotel, setting the stage for a heartwarming New Year celebration with our family. I find this property very difficult to rate we had high expectations. I guess we looked at the room rates and we just figured there would be a lot more to offer the property is very minimalistic. Can’t say much about the staff because the hotel is so new but they definitely need more experienced management for sure, I’m a Titanium Elite member so I did get an upgrade to their basic suite. The rooms and the property has no sound insulation so you can hear everything in the hall everything in the rooms next-door to you for that reason alone I would not return. I was told if I wanted further upgrade I could use my suite Night awards they have a promo going on But then was told after ,we don’t control that Marriott controls that which I know they do but it did say it was available but what they had done after me requesting about 10 times for the upgrade instead of honoring what they said they gave it to someone else two hours prior to check and bragged about it see below I did ask the management what I did wrong Anything? Or what do I have to do next time? But like I said the management is very new and inexperienced so I didn’t get much benefit of asking that question I think it’s an overpriced property in my opinion they won’t survive not at the rates I see some rates entry-level thousand dollars $1200 depending on the dates, no way in a million years is this property command those kind of dollars we come to Singapore 3-4 times a year we stay around 80 nights I won’t be visiting this property again anytime soon. as well Not crazy about the location and if it rains you’re at luck we didn’t try the restaurant there wasn’t much on the menu Have a look at it so I can’t comment on that, no buffet breakfast included no lounge just don’t see the value at all, but if you want your milk because they don’t leave milk in the room for your coffee, I suggest you order it an hour in advance. Check out is 12:00 to me a 2 star or 3 star has 12:00 check out.the spa is basic very small only few people can fit in jacuzzi, maybe three in the Steam and the bathroom utensils or something you would see again in the two or three star hotel again very disappointing.PS before you go to bed check that they’ve left coffee or sugar in your room so that way when you get up in the morning and you find there’s nothing there you won’t have to wait an hour to get it. It’s hard to believe they don’t even leave milk in the room. You have to call up for it every morning.

Very beautiful and spacious room, hotel also gave us a tasty chocolate birthday cake from shophouse.  Bed was big and comfortable Personalized check-in at Valley Wing also meant that there we didnt need to queue at the tower wing  Breakfast was nice, although it would be good if the eggs were not included into the selection of 2 dishes, especially since eggs are also available in The Line. Hotel gave us late checkout until 3pm. Huge gym and pool Staff were mostly proactive and friendly, especially Peggy, Raja, Yusuke, and Fabian who were always ready to help Misunderstanding where the staff told me to wear pants to the Summit Room/Valley Wing lounge but actually berms are allowed too

Location of the hotel was great with many eateries around but that was about it. At first glance, the room looked ok; however, it had a foul and fishy smell upon entering. It was small but if you are just looking for a bed to rest and a bathroom to wash up, it will suffice. Not recommended for people who are not petite in size as it is really cramped. The lighting was dim and there was no window; it took a while for my eyes to get used to it and after that, I realised that there were dust and hair everywhere, even on the bed. Upon further scrutiny, I saw ants - endless trails of them, crawling on the walls, along the bed, on the table, in the bathroom. I took videos but unfortunately, only pictures can be posted here and the ants were too small to be seen and appeared as white dots. Some even came onto the bed. It was really uncomfortable and made me feel itchy all over. As the air conditioner was very dusty and the bed was right underneath it, there was black dust all over the sheets. The towels had holes in them and they were dirty. There was litter in the shower area and I found a cockroach crawling on the sink in the bathroom. I can understand about the thin walls and hearing noises along the corridor but cleanliness is something that cannot be compromised, even in a budget/3-Star hotel. In fact, there are cleaner and cheaper hotels in the same area. I am deeply disappointed because I was there to celebrate my birthday and it was indeed unforgettable, in a very terrible way. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I had a wonderful experience at the YORK. Every staff member I encountered, from the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Specially front desk staff Phoo Phoo she was very welcoming same staff upon checking out too, it was nice check out with a smile. Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

I have asked for late check out at 12pm. But we went for swimming at 11am and our door card cannot be used at the lift. We were stuck at the lobby for 15min. The hotel staff could not reactivate the door card and I have to tell them to use their staff card to access our rooms.
