Quality Inn Simpsonville-Greenville

Great stay! I read the reviews before I booked and almost didn't book at this hotel but it was right off the interstate where I was looking to stay. I booked a hotel and the room and staff were great. I'm not sure why others mentioned the owner being rude. I found him very pleasant as well as other staff I encountered. It appears the hotel recently went through an update as well. I will be staying here again!

WARNING!! Owner is a THIEF and the RUDEST person I’ve met in my entire life!! There’s also ROACHES This man literally kicked out all the guests staying there through FEMA on the day after thanksgiving on the coldest weekend of the year and for no reason!! And get this…. He required a $100 deposit from FEMA guests (including myself) and when I contacted FEMA they said that his behavior was unacceptable and that HE CANNOT REQUEST ANY MONEY FROM US so they advised me to submit a complaint against the man ,which I did , and also suggested I call the police if he didn’t give my deposit back, which he didn’t, so I had to get the police out there . The man still refused to give me my deposit back even though the police asked him on my behalf. He is stealing those deposits! The police even said that they are always called out there because of him mistreating guests. This place and their other locations need to be shut down. Absolute nightmare and roaches everywhere. don’t let them fool you. The owner is horrible and doesn’t care at all!

DO NOT STAY in this hotel. The hotel is in BAD area. The front desk person talked rudely when I arrived the hotel lobby. Reservation was cancelled without inform me. I did not receive cancellation e-mail or call from hotel. Hand return signs on door and lobby window regarding deposits required. Hotels running with locals’ peoples only. Don’t see any cars in parking lot. I am Choice Hotels employee, I booked employee rate because the rate was available to book. When I arrived at hotel the lady can't check me in because reservation was cancelled by hotel manager Brian Patel, I saw him doing hotel laundry. The FD told me you didn’t provide proof of employment, I ask her what do you need? I can provide any information you want. She said sorry I can’t check-in with this reservation. I ask her can I talk to your manager? she said he is not going to do anything. Still, I said can you talk? She went to laundry room; I saw her from security camera system, talking with Brian Patel in Laundry room. She came back and told me we are not going to take this reservation. The Brian Patel told her If you want to call Choice Hotel he doesn’t care. If you don’t want to take reservation with employee rate you can close the rates in your hotel system. Before you cancel reservation, you must call the guest and inform, you cancelled this reservation because low employee rate. If the guest knows the reservation is cancelled, they can book another hotel. They don’t have to drive your dirty hotel. This is the first hotel cancelled my reservation without informing. I am travelling lot but never had this type of BAD experience. I worked for different brand hotel and booked with employee rate but no one ask any proof. Still, I don’t have any problem to provide any type of proof. This is a worst hotel and G. Manager. DO NOT STAY in this hotel. This hotel not supposed to be in Choice Hotel System.

This hotel is a complete fraud. Brian Patel (if that’s his real name) “the manager” just called me to cancel my 2 rooms that I booked weeks ago. Was a special trip for 2 moms and their 2 senior boys to go to the country music festival together. He said there was a water main break, but I asked to not cancel the rooms bc it might be fixed. Then he told me the music festival was canceled - which is not even TRUE!! Then he hung up on me because “he didn’t want to talk to me anymore”. Beyond rude and unprofessional and offered no apologies or alternatives. He has completely ruined our weekend and now we have to scramble and figure something out. I’m assuming the whole point is to price gauge other people!!!!!! The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DEALING WITH A HOTEL.

Was told that my 3 day reservation was canceled despite ******* not canceling it. I had a great deal so my suspicion is that they wanted to price gouge my room to take advantage of the victims of hurricane helena. My spouse suffers from anxiety so this was a very cruel thing to do. I will be talking to an attorney to take legal action.
