The environment is comfortable, clean and tidy, and it is also very high-end. There are many types of rooms
I used Trip to book a room online today. The view outside the window is facing the unfinished building. The view may not be ideal, but everything else is acceptable.
In addition, I just checked in today, and the next time I go out, I will be checked out of the room when I come back. It really makes the guests feel bad. This kind of mistake needs to be reviewed.

Staff was warm and welcoming, very friendly and polite. We were welcome with cold towels and welcome drinks. Our room was superb, extremely clean along with modern facilities, especially a big bathtub and a private balcony with fantastic view. Really relaxing and quiet atmosphere not so far away from the beach. Spacious swimming pool and parking. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure!

Please be aware - very poor management because it’s not hosted by Star Bay. These rooms are hosted by a separate owner. I won’t stay there again-NOT recommended!

The hotel is very well located: in front of Sokha beach, almost private beach and with large stretch of sand, as well as about 10-minute walk from the Prince shopping mall. The staff is very nice and friendly. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to market and Otres according to the timetable schedule. Western menu is also available in the hotel restaurants. But, some items should be improved: 1) Lightning: bedroom and bathroom with low lightning, especially in the shower area; 2) As a beach resort, activities and games should be offered, such as ping pong, volleyball, etc; 3) Include hot chocolate in the breakfast without extra charge.
I highly recommend the hotel and would stay again.

This is a relatively new and clean hotel.
I was asked for a $10 deposit at the front desk, but they didn't have any, so I handed out a large bill and they refused to accept it, so they gave me some change. The front desk was very pleasant.
The location is a little far from the street where restaurants are located, but the bus terminal can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, so it was very convenient.
In the immediate vicinity, you can find local restaurants and food stalls.
It is located on the side of a hill a little far from Peach, so it may be a little inconvenient if your goal is the sea.
Since the cost performance is good, I would like to stay again.

Safety: I must warn all guests that this hotel has changed hands several times and we found it hard to find out who is the real owner is, as of today we still dont know as we dont get a straight answer: Major issue they do not hold public liability Insurance. The Stairs are not none slip so when there is water left on the stairs this is a major hazard. The hotel is what we expected and the photos are a true representation of what you will get. The Staff are great especially the lady manager. Food was ok at the restaurant but expensive. Rooms were clean, and the pool well maintained and clean. The representative of the hotel came to see me after I had a bad accident there due to water not being cleaned up on the stairs and it caused a slip hazard. It left me with 2 broken ribs and a contusion on the left Lung. Its hard to rate this hotel as on one hand the staff were great and the accomidation was adequate, on the other hand the owners did not care about the well being of its guests or staff. Now I have 12 weeks to repair, Please anyone booking here check to make sure they have the insurance in place and basic 3M none slip strips on the stairs. if the owner addressed these items its a great place to stay

A fantastic experience made possible by the entire amazing staff of this wonderful resort. Tep and Dara were especially kind and generous with their time. Tep helped arrange an island hopping tour and even accompanied me on her day off. Dara took time out of his day to sit and chat with me each day while I ate breakfast, a nice touch for a solo traveler. Everyone was so kind and cheerful. They were all smiling all the time. I met the owner and immediately understood why. His kindness and care for the staff members was obvious in his interactions with them. That type of managerial style inevitability translates into cheerful and thoughtful service. I applaud this entire operation for their genuine care for each other and the guests. The attention to detail and care showed in the quality of the groundskeeping, housekeeping, and food service. (The breakfast service was incredible, especially the made to order noodles and egg station). I could go on but this place reall has to be experienced to be believed. And at this price point it is an incredible value for money. One more thing: the location at the very end of Otres Beach is perfect. The beach was very quiet and the traffic on the road was minimal. I wouldn’t want to stay close to the noisy dusty city center. This is way better.

Food, beach, sea, pool everything was gorgeous. Any dish and drinks from menu was so much delicious.
Staff was so friendly and helpful.
It was really the best choice for such price.
Also I liked so much that can take for free some boats and kayaks from the hotel. We really had more fun there.
Also want to mention some minuses which maybe not totally connected with the hotel but would like somebody tell me in advance about it:
1) hotel doesn’t accept all cash. At our last day we need to get some changes and hotel didn’t accept my hundred dollar because there was some red stamp on it. As for me it’s so strange but I heard it could happen in Cambodia. But next day when we moved to the Sihanouk they accept this hundred dollar easily , so I don’t understand this logic too much. But even the hotel didn’t accept that hundred they still help us with some cash as for us it was urgent to buy tickets for early morning ferry.
2) and the biggest minus it was trip which we bought from the hotel: fishing +snorkeling +sunset+plankton
Never ever buy it! Safe 20$ for anything else. The most useless half of day of my trip was there. And what make me sad it was last day in the Koh Rong. Was upset that spent last evening at this stupid way.
The tour is organized by tourist group “three brothers “ and the hotel sell it. Could be nice if they tell from beginning that this trip is a total 💩and don’t allow spoil vocation of there customers. But anyway nobody force us to buy it so can’t totally blame hotel, but…😢
So will explain why I such upset about the trip. We came to the ferry and boat brought us to another place where stay 3 boats . Than we change boat and a guy just give us that special mask for snorkeling and tell: ok go… but our boat was staying between 2 other boats so how I should go I didn’t understand. After we sitting and don’t understand anything for 10-15 min other boats left than we decided to go inside water. There was no fish !!!!!!!!! Maybe maximum 5 fishes!!!!!! We saw more in the hotel.than fishing: they didn’t teach us anything didn’t explain anything we just stop they gave us something as thing for fishing and just went to sleep. Than after one hour when one chinese girl almost start to vomiting we went to dirty dirty and over dirty long set beach for sunset. And we arrived there around 3:30-4! So should wait for sunset 2 hours!!!!! When we ask to put at least music they said: captain want to sleep… And beach was over dirty!!!! Than they start to cook some food gave some drinks, we watch sunset was beautiful ( because thanks God they can’t spoil sunset) and then we went to watch plankton. I was so exited about that and than they stop us on the middle of the nowhere and don’t tell anything. Where is plankton? Full moon no have plankton… how we know it? Why we still stay in that place 30 mint. I would like to know answers for all this questions but nobody gave me it… so was the worst time from 1:30pm to 7:30pm. If don’t Wang to spoil u day never go there!!!!

Villa 126 with vogue decor & a wraparound view to match was as perfect as the abundant sea life that exists below with crabs scurrying about doing their business a the sight of magnificent tropical fish of many colours including a school of Angelfish & an array of ever colourful coral spanned Pearl Resorts entire coastal boardwalk.
Sheer delight! The highlight being the view beneath the waters surface in a CLEAR KAYAK at 6:30am the silent serene glass like sea water enabled a mesmerising view; an array of intricate coloured corals with hundreds of fish weaving through its channels, unbelievable in our now ever changing climate BUT it was real! Can't fault this resort from the time we arrived to its end the facilities and activities & to the hospitality staff incl. the managers to the service staff were all outstanding & waterside beauty & body treatments with Jenny it’s well & truely beyond a 5 star resort. Exquisite food of perfect presentation & perfectly cooked seafood al dente’ pasta & rice a foodies delight even the breakfast lobster fried rice was sensational. Their chefs I’d rate as Michelin Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gordon Ramsay you really need to sample here!

GGuest UserIt's a surprise to have such a hygienic and comfortable environment in Koh Rong Island. Although there is no 24-hour front desk and there is no phone in the house, I am very satisfied. The vast majority of the staff are very friendly, especially the front desk supervisor who is very genuine and helpful. The beach is clean and delicate, and they did their best in catering. It was a great holiday.

Even before our arrival, she went above and beyond to ensure that our journey to the resort was seamless. Her attentiveness, helpfulness, and wealth of knowledge about the island made our experience truly unforgettable. It's evident that Karolina's departure from the resort will be a significant loss, as her dedication to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Her high standard of customer service will be sorely missed and it will probably be impossible to adequately replace her. In addition to Karolina's outstanding service, the resort itself offers a serene and relaxing environment. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The resort's location, nestled on the shores of Koh Rong, is perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Overall, Golden Beach Resort is a hidden gem on Koh Rong, made even more special by the exceptional hospitality of Karolina and her team. While we are saddened by the news of her departure, we are grateful for the unforgettable memories she helped create during our stay.

JJacquelinAmazing location on the beach, with beach on one side and pool on the other. Depending on the time of the day we rotated between. Everything was clean and well looked after. Room with AC and hot water. It was right beside the pier so easy to get to, and the ocean was pristine and baby blue. They have towels, paddle boards, row boat, or snorkel you can just borrow (not great snorkelling though). We decided to not include the breakfast because it was $12 American and we thought quite expensive for a normal buffet breakfast but a lot of guests enjoyed it. Right up from the pier there’s lots of local restaurants and we experimented with them and really enjoyed the food, smoothies, and coconuts. There’s also a small shop beside the hotel that sells drinks and coffee (ask for with milk and ice!) so we bought our drinks there instead of the hotel.
My only feedback was I didn’t like how they didn’t provide more water, only 2 small bottles a day. I think they should have a larger jug that we can fill up to be more sustainable.
Overall loved this place and would definitely come back!

GGuest UserIt's a ten-minute motorcycle ride from the pier. The environment is quiet and beautiful. The Hai Hotel has a good service attitude, but I'm not used to the open-air bathroom. There are not many dishes in the restaurant, but the taste is acceptable. There are both Chinese and Western food, and most of them are for Europeans and Americans. The hotel is satisfactory, but I don't think the scenery and sea water are as good-looking as the pier, and the sea is not so blue and clear

BBramlettI stayed here with my husband and two children. We chose this resort because they had rooms well suited for families. The resort staff met at us at the pier and took us and our luggage by small speed boat to the resort—saving us a difficult walk along the beach with all of our bags. The front desk staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. The rooms were very clean. We loved being on the beach and having a view of the ocean from our front deck. There were comfortable couches and chairs on the deck where we could lounge throughout the day. We looked forward to the resort breakfast each morning. I especially appreciated that the wait staff would provide steamed milk for our coffee each morning. We had several meals at the resort restaurant during our stay and we enjoyed them all. We were disappointed by the amount of trash that would wash up along the island beach but the resort had staff that would maintain the beach in front of the resort each day so it was nice to have a cleaner area for swimming and playing in the sand.

GGuest UserIt’s simply THE BEST resort you can find on the island, thanks to its facilities and its position: it’s on a stunning private beach, with light blue water and white sand, and immersed in a flourishing garden that assures you privacy and tranquillity (but if you want to have fun, you can find a lot parties at walking distance). The swimming pool near the sea is also stunning, especially at sunset. The food is very good, and the staff is super nice, competent and helpful. Rooms are spacious, with all the amenities and a big wonderful bathroom. I would suggest to add more vegetarian options to the menu.

GGuest UserWhat to say about Mad Monkey Hostel Koh Rong…prepare yourself for the most fun you have ever had and the amazing staff who invite you to join every event and conversation. Though you should watch out for your liver there, we are absolutely amazed by the fantastic time we had there! We are absolutely gutted about leaving this beautiful and fanstastic place, but we kind of had to after an extension of a few days…Many thanks to Gen, Jimmy and Chantal (and of course the other Mad Monkeys / reps, SO to Amanda!) for the most amazing days of our trip, we are sure we can’t top this one in the rest of our travels! And for whom of you that made it to the end of this review, prepare to make friends and send it!! Gonna miss you guys! Xoxo, your (hopefully!) fave Dutchies

杨杨It is much better than originally thought. The room is very clean. Although it is far from the port, it is not very convenient to travel, but it is very quiet. The hotel has a boat that can pick up and drop off to the port. One dollar is for one person, except for no hot water. Of course, there is actually there. The weather doesn't need to be there anymore. There is really nothing to be picky about. The boss is a Frenchman. He walks with a glass of wine and a book every day. He really feels good about Gaolong Island. There are not so many tourists, not too much. It’s a lot of trouble for many European and American tourists who are holding books and sunbathing in the posters or snorkeling. Suitable for individuals or small couples, not suitable for parent-child travel, because there is really no entertainment on the island...
