Hotels in Koh Rong, Sihanoukville

This hotel was okay but not great value for the price we paid. We ended up shortening the time here and spending another night at a near by hostel - think this shows the level of quality. The location is amazing but as is every beach front hotel/hostel on the strip. The pool here is nice but sun loungers could use an update as are quite dirty. The room is okay and has aircon, door didn’t fully shut so the curtains covering the door is covered with mosquitos trying to get in. We had to spray the gap in the door regularly with spray to keep them out. The shower was mid warm but low pressure and hung on the wall and had to hold in hand to keep up. The service at the front desk was fine but to the lowest standard we’ve had travelling. There was no added niceties or politeness. Check in took a while (20 mins) while there was no comment on why it was taking so long. Our room wasn’t even ready in this time period so we weren’t waiting for the room. Breakfast wasn’t great and they could really do with more staff. The poor waitress was run off her feet trying to clear plates, stock food and drinks back up but there was always big gaps. People were sitting at dirty tables with no cutlery just to sit down and start eating. Not the waitresses fault as she was working very hard just needed 3/4 more people. The privacy is nice but the amenities are worse than the hostels near by.

Came here with my wife for a birthday getaway, and we definitely made the right choice. From start to finish, everything was smooth and hassle free. The resort staff even helped us check our ferry booking to make sure everything was in order and waited for our arrival at the ferry jetty. The resort is about 15 minutes from the Koh Rong Hill ferry terminal, although I have to warn you the journey can be quite bumpy! Our room had an amazing view, was spotlessly clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it came to arranging and recommending activities. We were provided with free paddle boards and snorkelling gear as well. Unfortunately, the water wasn’t very clear during our visit, so there wasn’t much to see underwater 😂, but that’s obviously beyond the resort’s control. One thing I really loved was the resort’s location. It’s away from the bustling main Long Set Beach area, which made the whole trip feel much more peaceful and relaxing. The WiFi connection was also fantastic! Overall, we had a wonderful and pleasant stay. The resort is well established, and the service, facilities, location, and overall experience made it absolutely worth every cent. I don’t usually write reviews, but this resort genuinely deserves the time. Would definitely recommend!

This was our first family trip to Koh Rong. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the pier, right on the beachfront, which is perfect for ocean activities. We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage-style room; it was spacious and clean, allowing our family to relax comfortably. I was very impressed by the front desk staff's exceptional hospitality and courteous service. The on-site restaurant is convenient, though I felt the lunch menu had a slightly limited selection. However, the seafood dishes we had were absolutely delicious and highly satisfying. Thanks to the beautiful sea and the staff's warm hospitality, it was an unforgettable stay for our family.

The environment is very nice. You can disembark at the Long Beach Pier and have the hotel provide a shuttle to the hotel, or you can take the hotel's dedicated boat directly from the West Port Pier. The beach on the Long Beach side is busier, but the hotel's exclusive beach is quieter and cleaner. It's very nice.

The location is not far from the pier. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and relatively new. There are quite a few mosquitoes on the beach, so it's best to keep the doors and windows closed indoors. There are cafes and restaurants nearby, and the customer service is excellent. There are also many restaurants and small bars nearby. The beach in front is clean, and you can see the sunrise in the morning. Beach chairs and other facilities are available.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the service is attentive and welcoming. You can even communicate in simple Chinese. The beach here is the best on the island. The hotel isn't far from the pier, and you can rent a scooter to explore the island, though there's not much to see besides just riding around. Scooter rental isn't expensive.

What I liked: The excellent, comfortable bed and pillows, pristine white linens and towels. The hotel staff contacted me in advance and helped me book ferry tickets and a car from the pier to the hotel. The hotel restaurant served quite delicious dishes. Breakfast was also very good, despite the limited selection. You can use paddleboards for free at the beach. Snorkeling from the shore was also decent; we saw two cuttlefish. The beach is a dream, with one small caveat. There were always enough sun loungers. What I disliked: The beach was littered with plastic remnants from the sandbags used to reinforce the shoreline. One evening, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco at sunset. The waiter opened it and threw the foil directly onto the sand, shocking us with such disregard for this beautiful place. Another morning, guests at the neighboring table on the beach had Coke brought to them. By lunchtime, no one had come to clear the glasses and cans. By sunset, the same cans were still lying on the sand; the glass cups, however, seemed to have been collected. There were also many disappointments with the room: everything was shoddily done, built in a hurry, the furniture was stained with paint, the rug and hat in the room were torn, and in the huge shower, there wasn't a single hook or towel holder. There's also no shower curtain, so the toilet was always wet. Half of the light switches didn't work, and the switches by the bed were swapped. When you leave the room and take the key card, the light above the entrance also turns off, making it quite an adventure to return in the dark and climb the stairs. There's a refrigerator, but it didn't work, and this was the case in two different rooms. At the entrance to the bungalow and the restaurant, there are hoses to wash sand off your feet, but none of them worked. My husband took one apart and cleaned it, and then it worked. Conclusion: With proper management and care, this place could turn into paradise. Things to be prepared for: In the evenings, there are many mosquitoes or gnats on the beach; they bite hard and itch for a long time. Repellents are essential. Within walking distance, there's only the neighboring cafe and nothing else. This could be both an advantage and a disadvantage for some.

Fantastic accomodation. Best water pressure and internet speeds, I think the best i've had in Cambodia. Staff very helpful! 5min walk to the beach, local restaurant's and store. The free shuttle to the island port area of the island was awesome.

What a beautiful location! Peaceful, quiet beach away from the main backpacker areas. The room was simple, bed was comfortable and the outside shower was refreshing. The beach bar/ restaurant had a good menu selection and the included breakfast menu was extensive. Happy hour 5-7 was a good deal. We will be back!
