Platis Gialos and Vathi are the best regions to stay in Sifnos. And without any doubt, Elies Resorts with its location, semi private beach, luxurious rooms & suites ( we stayed at deluxe suit with sea view), restaurant & pool bar is the best option to stay in Vathi. My sister tried their spa and had deep tissue massages. All of the four treatments she had received made her very happy and relaxed. As far as the food & beverage is concerned breakfast was great. Since we love greek salad so much, our lunch was always based on that. Dinner menu, while it was adequate in terms of variety, I was not pleased both times with my food as neither my chicken nor my anchovy were soft and juicy instead they were either too dry or too deep fried. The rooms were very clean. The sun lounges were comfortable. The hotel’s boutique although it was small, had the best selection on the island! But in my opinion besides the resort’s luxury, the staff who were very friendly, helpful, and accomodating at all times which was the reason what made Elies Resort special and unfortgettable.

A stunning hotel and location. The salt water pool is one of the biggest I have ever seen, the beach is very nice and the grounds well kept. Very pleasant rooms bungalow style and good amenities. If you want to relax this is the place to go. Except for a few tavernas which are within walking distance via the beach ( yes you get your feet wet!) there is not much, so if you want to explore the island you definitively need a car. The breakfast was fabulous. The restaurant however is too pricey and only one fish dish on the menu. One easy improvement: Sifnos is great for hiking but reception did not have good hiking maps.

This hotel is a gem! Fantastic experience and stay at Elies! Great location, by the beach, amazing view, large and very well maintained rooms, great service, everybody from the staff is very friendly, great breakfast with lots of choices and fresh products, great facilities, swimming pool is huge, beach bar is among the best, beach facilities (long chairs and umbrellas for shade) are great! Rooms are quite expensive, but the hotel is not overpriced given the experience! We could clearly understand why people return so frequently, lots of people we met come back frequently, many every year… And we will definitely return given the outstanding experience…

This is a really lovely hotel and we had a great stay here. The breakfast was amazing and the staff helpful and friendly and most of them very efficient. Our rooms were lovely with great views and cleaned to a good standard. The fitness centre was small but well equipped. The salt water pool and the breach were great and not too crowded. Overall Recommended. We paid €12.5k euros for 4 rooms 6 nights 6 people. A couple of niggles. 1) The website refers to a tennis court. It is a really good court, recently refurbished. However the website doesn’t mention that they charge guests €35 per hour to use it. I have never been to a hotel that charges guests for court usage. 2) The rooms have a Nespresso machine and they replenished the pods each day. However, one of our party wanted a kettle (water boiler) which they did provide but wanted to charge €6 for each tea bag! (We bought a box of tea from the mini-market) 3) The website shows group fitness sessions but it is not clear that these are chargeable. Most hotels of this standard offer group sessions for free. The schedule on the website was for May.

This is a very nice hotel with one of the nicest pool areas of any hotel I’ve stayed at. The grounds are extremely well kept, and the whole hotel feels very secluded and relaxing. The food on the breakfast a la carte menu was good. If staying in the hotel cost 60% of the actual price I would give it a 4 or 5 star rating. However, given the prices they charge, they have to deliver to a higher standard and unfortunately they don’t. The air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled, presumably as a cost saving measure, meaning that the thermostat in the room does not actually control the temperature. On the first night, it was far too warm and I contacted reception, and after some hassle, I was told they would have someone take a look the next day. No offer of an alternative room was made and that was the last I heard from them about the issue. The temperature did improve the next day, but the thermostat still clearly didn’t control the temperature and the air conditioning temperature varied and at times was too warm. For a five star hotel charging these prices, this isn’t acceptable. The drink and food prices are frankly eye watering and way beyond anything I saw anywhere in Greece on a two week trip. An iced coffee and bottle of coke cost nearly 12 euro. A bottle of beer cost 9 euro. That same beer was available for 4 euro in one of the local tavernas, perhaps 100 metres from the hotel. The price went beyond “premium hotel pricing” and felt gratuitous. The service in general was below average, compared to other, cheaper, hotels I stayed in on the trip. Overall, a really nice hotel, and an enjoyable stay. But not even close to worth the money.

Excellent resort! Amazing location with great views! The pool is one of the best pools in a resort You get a great feeling of privacy even in the main pool area. The food is very good both at the restaurant and the pool bar Amazing cocktails at the bar! And finally and more importantly the best service from all the staff members

Our family stayed here for three nights, and the hotel is very nice. Enjoyed our time and would recommend people stay. However, we did encounter some friction. When we checked in and went to our room, we noticed a large amount of ants in the room and all over the floor. Eventually they ended up in one of our suitcases. We notified the hotel, who offered to move our room, but being here only 3 nights, that seemed a hassle. We asked, and were obliged, to have our clothes and suitcase cleaned. There is a restaurant on property and the food is very good, both for breakfast and dinner. The pool restaurant and bar are very nice, and have nice food for lunch. The workout facility is a nice amenity, as the roads are very hilly and curvy around the hotel. The beach is very nice and allows access to walk to taverns for lunch and dinner. We would recommend staying here.

Couldn’t fault this property. On Vathi beach this place is beautiful and resort like. Massive swimming pool and great friendly service everywhere. Went for a Villa room with private pool (it wasn’t cheap) but worth every Euro! The Villa was stand alone and about 60-70sqm - two bathrooms and separate loungeroom (with a kitchenette). Pool was larger than expected and the views magical. Breakfast space was on the beach - although very private and mostly outdoors (some indoors upstairs). Great selection and incredibly fresh - the chai yoghurt a fruit a must. Went to the gym - small although functional and very clean. You’ll need a car to get around (or a powerful scooter as we did) as the island is very hilly and steep inclines. We would definitely return.

We stayed in 2BR/3bath villa with private pool. The villa was STUNNING, spacious, immaculately clean, modern in beachy, airy Greek style. We had a full living room, dining room, kitchen with ice machine, an outdoor dining area, wrap around outdoor living space and 4 lounge chairs. Bathrooms were large and well equipped with great towels, nice robes and slippers. AC was perfect. Beds and pillows were comfy and the sheets exquisite (I am hard to please on beds and pillow!) Ample lighting and gorgeous view of the bay. We even had our own golf cart for use on the property. Gift shop was small and pricey but cute. I bought some jewelry. SERVICE: 5-Star, outstanding. Room service was fast and all requests were responded to and every need met. I requested a yoga mat, which was promptly delivered. Breakfast was very good, smaller variety than some, but good quality. Nice selection of fruits, sweet and savory, fresh OJ and Moet and Chandon. A 5-star touch. Lunch had a limited menu but was good. Pool and beach bar were very nice and not at all crowded. I believe there was also a playground and giant chess board on property. Location: a bit isolated, but down the beach you could walk to a good number of authentic tavernas which were good and inexpensive. There was also a convenience market for drinks, sunscreen, etc. The beach was not great, a bit murky with seaweed, etc, but has sunbeds and is steps from the hotel pool. A few suggestions: Kitchen could be better equipped with glasses, dishes and utensils. Also, the ever-present feral cats in the dining area were bothersome and often aggressive in nature. Perhaps an indoor dining area or better barriers/management would be helpful. Tip for travelers: rent a cart. The location is a bit remote. Would have liked to see more of Sifnos. And maybe order room service for breakfast to avoid the cat fights....
