Hotel la Perla

Ottima posizione, bella vista, stanza piccola ma funzionale. Scala a chiocciola molto stretta.

I booked this hotel for personal reasons that took me to Siena. Then my "reason" was canceled but I canceled the reservation 4 days before the arrival date as requested by the structure. It was the Saturday that I had to leave even though I had notified the hotel that I would arrive in the afternoon, she contacted me at 1pm to find out why I didn't show up and it already smelled bad to me because the lady knew very well that I was arriving in the afternoon. Then I received an email from booking because that's where I made the reservation that the structure wanted compensation for no-show and no-cancellation. I sent the email to booking with my email stating that I had canceled... and that I don't know what happened. In any case, if I were to return to Siena to the hotel la perla I certainly wouldn't stay because creating useless discussions makes no sense when I had everything in order and they wouldn't come and tell me that they hadn't read the email because otherwise

Hotel whose location is the great strength. Really right in the historic center of Siena. Smiling welcome. Everything is clean. Conversely, my room was dark and small. The window overlooking an interior courtyard was sometimes noisy. The shower tray is very narrow. However, a good address, even if it seems a little expensive to me (€68).

My rating is an average between the position to which I would have given 5 and the room to which I would have given a maximum of 3, obviously taking into account the level of the structure. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the charming Piazza del Campo and also very close to the Duomo, so the location is truly perfect! Our triple room, although quite small, was quite modern and well kept, but it was a shame about the bathroom: really micro, not functional and moreover without a bidet! The hotel does not provide breakfast but there are several bars in the area. The secure Car Valet Leonardo car park which has an agreement with the hotel is also very convenient: the car park is located just outside the centre, they will take you there and pick you up again right in front of the hotel, thus avoiding the stress of driving in the city centre!

Stayed for 2 nights, breakfast non-existent, reception closes at 8pm. Standard room needs modernization and renovation. No wardrobe, no cool bar, bathroom with step, no microscopic bidet. There are no towel rails. Very narrow corridor to the rooms. If the person in the next room goes to the bathroom you can hear the toilet flushing too much. A real shame...because the location is excellent, 1 minute walk from Piazza del Campo and 2 minutes from the cathedral. It's a real shame
