The best of ancient and modern. In a very central part of the old city in a stone building. The rooms combine very modern lighting, climate control and plumbing and high end materials with classical elements like beautiful painted ceilings. Our room was very very spacious by European standards and included a sofa, refrigerator and safe. The windows are excellent so even our room,which was in the street side, was quiet. The lady staffing the desk was delightful. She was courteous and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

First of all it is not a hotel of any sort. No one is on site at night. Not even until 10:00 PM. For 200 euros I expect at least someone on staff until 10 or 11 at night. This is not even a B&B with a nice breakfast. There is no elevator, you have to carry your luggage up two flights, no where to park, you pay an extra 30 euros to have your car parked off site, there is shampoo but no soap to wash your hands in the bathroom, no washcloths, poor water pressure in the shower, and I had to walk up two floors in pitch dark coming back from dinner because I did not know there is a light switch on the left when you enter the doors (why this is not on a motion sensor I do not know) on the ground floor. I could not make my electronic key card work and the nice woman from the desk came when I called but this is crazy. For 100 euros fine, or even 125 euros but 230 euros. Ridiculous.
