It was a wonderful stay. Pros: * The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views * Breakfast was good, plenty of options but till 10am on weekdays. And they really start taking away all the food at 10am. * Right in the center of the city, you can walk anywhere * They keep your suitcases after checkout. I asked them if I can come back for them later that day, and they were nice and kept them. Cons *No coffee machine in room. They do have a fridge though. *No iron in room but they do have an ironing room *No parking, but down the street there is free parking, a 8 min walk. I easily found a parking at 10.30pm

The hotel is far from the old town and is in a remote location, so it is very quiet. The room is quite spacious, the facilities are a bit old, and there are few restaurants around. It takes about ten minutes to walk to get there. It is better if you have a car, and the price-performance ratio is very high.

Excellent hotel, real five-star hotel service grade, every detail is exquisite and upscale. Okay, not much to say. If you choose this home, it is absolutely right, you will be in the history record. Let's talk about the shortcomings. We went by car. We need to contact the hotel in advance. We will give you a GPS address and follow this navigation to reach the hotel. Hotel help parking is 45 euros a day, little expensive! Everything else is satisfactory!

We were lucky to spend three nights at the Hotel Athena on our recent visit to Siena. Our room was comfortably large, nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed with nice linens. The outdoor terrace and bar opened every evening at 5 (this is contingent on good weather, which we were fortunate to have); it's a lovely place to have a drink and enjoy the lovely view of the countryside and the sunset. Breakfast was included in our rate; the selection of breakfast items was good, with freshly baked pastries, scrambled eggs, a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits, plus cereal and yoghurt. Guests were expected to make their own coffee from the espresso/coffee machine. The staff was helpful throughout; the receptionists were gracious, the bartender very professional. The historic center of Siena is a fairly easy 15-minute walk from the hotel (prepare for some hills along the way). The nearest restaurants are about 8-10 minutes away by foot; we didn't try the hotel dining room except for breakfast. We'll certainly consider the Hotel Athena again when next we're in Siena; it's convenient to the center of town, and really nicely appointed.

Lovely modern hotel on the outskirts of Sienna . The restaurant and food service were good and the whole place was clean and fresh .Local buses stop right outside the hotel too .Ample parking too .Many thanks to all the hard working staff who made our three night stay a pleasure .

We had the most amazing stay at Palazza Di Valli. On our ten week trip around Europe for our honeymoon this was our easy highlight. Aside from the spacious, cool and comfortable rooms, the location and amazing views, the biggest highlight were all the amazing staff. Lorenzzo and Giacamo were so helpful and friendly. They made us feel completely at home and we saw them give the same care to all guests. The same can be said to the staff who assisted with food and servicing of rooms. The view from our room and the terrace for breakfast of the stunning Tuscan countryside was also amazing. We didn’t want to leave even after 7 days. The breakfast was also outstanding and had so many options. We spent far more time at our hotel than anticipated because the food, view and company was so great. I hope we can come back one day.

When I took the room, I said that I didn't find the order, and I took a long time to get the room. Driving is ok, parking is free and the room is too old. No quilt. Only one can be covered like a sheet. Asked the waiter to give the quilt, and gave two very shabby blankets. . . About 2 kilometers from the city, on the top of the mountain. The price is very poor

Booked very last minute when our plans changed and we had a fantastic stay. Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel which is quite plain, the minute youstep inside it is light and bright and you will get a warm friendly welcome. Our room was very spacious, had everything we needed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The air con had been on as it was a warm day so the room was a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was excellent and all of the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to the old town and about 20 mins to the main piazza. I had hoped for hotel parking as we had a car full of stuff but this was full as we booked so late, so if you're booking ahead reserve in advance. There was free parking in the streets around and we had no problems. Very close to the train station An excellent stay, very good value and would certainly stay again

A very warm welcome for two soaking wet cycle tourists greeted us on our arrival at this centrally located hotel. Our bikes were securely parked in the hotel garage and our wet luggage did not cause any alarm. Our room was small (but cheap!) and the heating was on, which was nice. We stayed two nights and had both breakfasts in the dining room - excellent. I can't get on with the Italian taste for sweet things in the morning but the selection of cakes looked amazing. I had cold meats, various cheeses, lovely bread, fruit, yoghurt and a boiled egg (we were cycling after all). The shower was great and the room was cleaned in the morning.
