I travelled to Siem Reap alone and as a solo female traveller, I cannot stress enough how safe and wonderful my experience was staying at this hotel. Here's some info to consider if you decide to stay here:
1. Service: The best ever! Although, I would say this for absolutely every local I met, such beautiful people. Mr. Key and team certainly deserve 5 stars, very attentive, polite, friendly and hands-on...you made my stay worth every penny. Thank you for your kind hospitality 🙏🏻
2. Facilities: The hotel is beautiful and elegant and has such a peaceful energy as you walk in. The room I stayed in was incredible, squeaky clean, tidy, spacious, harmonious and the bed/pillows felt like a cloud after a long day, it has a mini bar and I don't think I've ever cared much about the robes...but I gotta say, the softest robes ever! Not to mention that I do appreciate that the bed linen, towels and robe smell good and clean. The pool is very clean and surrounded by a well kept garden. There's a gym and the spa service is not to be missed, the masseuse is very skilled, strong yet gentle, I came out of the session feeling refreshed and my skin was so silky, do get the scrub!
3. Breakfast: There's a little cozy restaurant that offers a variety of food. Breakfast is buffet style with a delicious western and local menu to choose from. They also prepare fresh omelettes, yum. The staff in the restaurant are very courteous and friendly, I personally enjoyed talking to Sa and Sokhim.
4. Location/transportation: The hotel is located at about 10mins from the city centre and places of interest like Pub Street and the Markets, and about 20mins from Angkor Wat. They offer free tuk tuk rides and can arrange airport transportation from/to the airport.
My only complaint is that I didn't stay long enough...but that's on me 😁 Oh and because the atmosphere of the hotel is all natural, do expect to see some friendly lizards and other garden pets while walking around the facilities🦎 So, be careful not to hurt them. This is now my go-to place to stay in Siem Reap!
The rooms are unique and the interior is very ”Cambodia feels”. Rooms are also spacious, comfortable and affordable. Love their balcony with pool view. There is no elevator so you may consider 1st floor rooms if you have luggages. Though they will help you carry your things. Location wise - can take tuktuk to go to places such as the night market and pub street.
The only downside: Swimming pool wasn't maintained well and it not so inviting to swim (hope they able to maintain it and maximize the good ambiance of the pool). Other items in the room are not well maintained such as the water kettle is rusty and the bathrobes got holes/tears. Love their lobby/receiving area too. It is very cozy area and love the scents!
Staff are very welcoming and very polite despite of the communication barrier. They are very patient. The phone in my original room wasn't working and asked for replacement since I may need the phone during my stay. I appreciate Trey for stepping out and settled the issue.
They have good food as well. They even packed my breakfast when one of my tour started at 0430hr.
They also offer complimentary foot massage and discounts for food/bar and spa. I was able to try their Khmer Massage at La Dear Spa on my last night. I recommend Vanra for the relaxing spa experience.
The team at the Golden Temple Retreat is exceptional. During my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The hotel is pristine, with beautiful rooms and public spaces. The ambiance is relaxing, and the staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The hotel location is great — just a few minutes away from Pub Street and the Old Market. The staff arranged all of my transportation, and also organized my private day tours for a rate that was significantly cheaper than any of the tours I found online. After a long day of exploring Siem Reap, the hotel pool was the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail. There is also a beautiful spa on site, making it easy to relax. Can’t wait to visit again!

Highly recommended hotel 👍🏻 We planned to stay in Siem Reap for 3 nights. Normally we always stay in different hotels to see which we like the most. So we booked only 1 night here. But after we checked we decided to stay 2 more nights here😊 The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! And the cocktails was so great with a beautiful pool. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.
Spacious, relaxing and very clean hotel. I love the hotel interior - with minimal decor which made it look more elegant. The staff were very courteous; friendly but professional. We appreciated the early check in which gave us some needed sleep since our flight was past midnight. We tried the BBQ night by the pool accompanied by good music. The food at Lok Lak restaurant were great, if you wish to explore Cambodian dishes. Overall, it was a great stay.
This lovely boutique hotel stands out with touches of a few cultures
:
From her Korean owners-
the soft beauty & attention to nooks & corners. &, the professional in-house photographers to serve guests.
From her Cambodian & Thai managers- the humility & service orientedness.
Yet, the common cyclical issues of staying in hotels in less developed Southeast Asian countries staffed largely by locals surface. Unless, a higher system of global mindedness dominates.
This hotel is more traditional in terms of design. Breakfast is good and the entire place is nice for picture taking. Our room is facing the pool. The air conditioning and water pressure is extremely good. Location is convenient to go Angkor Wat and Pub Street.
Everything about this place is top-notch and wonderful! The staff are very friendly, accomodating, and helpful. The rooms are lovely, the pool area is spectacular and the whole place has a very peaceful and welcoming ambiance. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of delicious foods and we chose to have our evening meal here every night as well. The dinners were delicious and very reasonably priced! I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime, and Metta Residence and Spa is at the very top of my list of favourite places to stay. I will be back for sure! Thank you so very much!
I booked this hotel for my school. We facilitated an outreach program at a local charity. The hotel met our needs perfectly. They had rooms to host 4 students per room. This not only fit our program conveniently but also proved to be budget friendly. The hotel had a good breakfast, that included eggs, bacon, veggies, and different breads (both sweet and regular). The hotel pool was clean and very refreshing, the heat in Cambodia can be quite hectic. The hotels location proved perfect for us. It is located a small distance away from the pub street, perhaps 10min with a tuk-tuk. This meant that we did not need to worry about wonders venturing out late at night with the use of a tuk-tuk (which we advised the hotel to be aware of). The hotel was however, conveniently located right next to a South African pub called Ubuntu. The pub had a great menu as well as cold beer, which is ideal after a long day in the heat of Siem Reap.
I will be booking this hotel again for the second part of the outreach program.
Extremely clean, comfortable and tasteful rooms, gorgeous pool and delightful decor Close to the markets and Apsara theatre. The dining room and sky bar both produce great local food and western favorites too. Breakfast buffet is massive and fabulous variety of Cambodian and western foods. But the best part was the staff: kind, courteous, fast and efficient. Can't praise this place enough. Thank you.

Outstanding
LLYThe place was really quiet and peaceful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the whole pool to myself the whole time. It's a really peaceful place, with a lot of different rooms to choose from if you want pool access from your room, a balcony or some privacy. The bed had two hearts made from decorated flowers and the bathtub like jacuzzi in the room had water drawn already and flowers in the water by the time I checked in. First time a hotel has done that for me. It was a very special moment! Great place to get away and relax from the noise!
MMariana BelénMy stay at this hotel was so nice that I didn't want to leave! I would have liked to stay more days. The whole site was very well kept and maintained. Surrounded by vegetation. Excellent all-inclusive a la carte breakfast. the pools very clean.
Free transportation from the hotel to the center
MMichaelFantastic hotel for the very reasonable price that we paid. The staff are really friendly and accommodating to your needs. Probably the best hotel we have stayed in south east Asia for value for money and what you get in return. The rooms are really big and modern and so are the bathrooms. Extended here a lot!
SSaucyThe hotel was in a really central location in Siem Reap. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Some amenities were missing (safe, TV). I had booked a room with a balcony, which I didn't receive. If you book the sun rise tour, they will provide a breakfast box for you. They also helped to arrange a bike hire, so I explore the town alone, which was great. A good stay.
EEvendenSo this was my 1st stay at the five senses boutique hotel and what a beautiful little quaint chic hotel
The owners Brillo and his beautiful wife Malina are so both amazing people they are so accommodating nothing too much hassle I will miss you both so much , The Rooms are so beautiful with a homely touch on them the bed is so comfy to sleep in the shower is a rain head shower and nice hot water and in the sink I absolutely recommend anyone that likes a quiet place away from the center and only 10 mins if that of a walk to pub st where all the fun starts to book this hotel I promise you will not be disappointed
Once again a huge Thanks to Brillo and Malina

CCHENYAOThe overall price/performance ratio of hotel accommodation is still very high. There are many small restaurants on the door, not far from the bar street, about 15 minutes walk. However, it is recommended that if you can do a local tour, you should not book through the hotel. We booked the car in the cave and the Benmi column through the hotel on the first day. Xiaogui ”75 knife = deposit fee does not include tipping” but it has no work. . The next day is the big pit. I plan to go to Xiao Angkor to watch the sunrise. I specially arranged for the hotel to use the Chinese tour guide ”55 knives = guide car = 37 knives for the extra 7 knives at sunrise.” Butttttt.. never imagined the tour guide In addition to Chinese is not good.. Even the knowledge of tourist attractions is also half-baked.. The whole process does not know whether we invited the Chinese tour guide or the other Chinese teacher invited ٩ 😩 ི۶. The third day check out to go to the airport, let the hotel booked 2 points of taxi. It is also 20 minutes late. During the multiple inquiries, the answer is that it has already arrived.. Fortunately, we have enough time to make a mistake. In short, there is a need for hotel price/performance. But the value-added service advises everyone not to YY..
SsyszgThe hotel is in a good location, about 10 to 20 minutes' walk from the city center, close to the old market, and convenient for eating and drinking. The hotel staff is warm and friendly, and the hotel is generally clean. However, the shortcomings are also very obvious. The facilities are too old, the bathroom door creaks every time it is opened and closed, the bathroom is seriously flooded, the TV is very small and it is difficult to turn it on, the air conditioner is also very old and the wind direction cannot be adjusted. It feels like those facilities have not been updated for more than ten years! In addition, the sheets slip on the bed, and there is a musty smell in the room when the air conditioner is turned off. In addition, the room structure is unreasonable, and it feels very crowded and depressing.
SSwikrutiI recently stayed in Riversoul with my family and we loved their service. The people are very tidy and organised and respecting. All the people whom we met in the hotel were super cordial.
If you are vegan/vegetarian or do not eat pork/beef then do mention it to them and they will ensure it isnt brought to you.
We also availed special spa services for our parents and I personally took a facial. It was super relaxing.
They also have tuk tuk and car services for all the tourists that you can take advantage of.
They even have a swimming pool which was our relaxation spot.
I also loved the minimalist theme they had as decor. You will not be allowed to eat in the room but they provide you with plates to eat inside the room or in the restaurant.
I would for sure recommend this amazing stay at Siam Reap.
PPavel GavrilovA good, clean hotel far from noisy streets, but nearby there are small shops and a small restaurant. There is also a restaurant and a fruit bar on site, but more expensive than on the street.
The room is large, with a wide bed, a refrigerator, a tea set and other furniture. The downside is that there is no separate removable shower in the bathroom; it’s inconvenient to wash yourself.
The staff is polite and all speak English.
SShaoI was a little disappointed that the actual room was different from the picture I saw. The shower was only the type with an overhead shower, which was inconvenient. The amenities were different from what was stated in the information, so it was disappointing.
