Our stay at Golden Citadel was amazing. The hotel is about a block off the main road but that just added to the feeling of seclusion, peacefulness, and quiet I felt when I walked through the trees hanging over the entrance. Once through the trees, the first thing you notice is the beautiful pool with its infinity edge on three sides. The staff were very accommodating. The food was amazing, though, as an American, I’m still not used to noodles for breakfast. The menu has a bit of everything. The owners, who live onsite, have experience cooking Western style food from working in other hotels before they became owners. The room was large, clean, and very comfortably appointed. The owners and staff were very helpful in identifying things to do and suggesting transportation options. I would 100% stay here again next time I'm in Siem Reap.
