Stayed for 2 nights and it was stunning. Old English charm and the staff were amazing. The hotel appealed to us as there was peace and quiet in a tranquil setting. We’ve been coming to Sidmouth for years from accommodation in nearby Charmouth but chose to stay in Sidmouth this time around. The pool was closed for refurbishment but that didn’t affect our stay. I love this seaside town for a short relaxing break, the hotel did just that as it was so quiet and peaceful. Easy to walk to town and the beach. Would highly recommend. Felt totally refreshed afterwards.

I am a returning customer having stayed here previously with my Mum and The Victoria always delivers on all levels and i always thoroughly enjoy my stays at the hotel and look forward immediately to my next visit.

Staff very attentive, lovley atmosphere in the hotel so welcoming 5 star experience very clean and great facilities prime location diner really is a class act something a bit special over all my favourite hotel so far out of so very many will definitely be back

We had previously stayed here for five days back in 2022 and always said we'd come back. To celebrate my husband's special birthday, I booked a week as a surprise. Sadly, the surprise was broken when a member of staff phoned my husband's mobile a month before our stay. They knew it was a surprise and the file, apparently, had been marked with all correspondence via email to me! We arrived to the same Victoria Suite we had last time. I had asked and paid for balloons and a bottle of champagne on arrival and they were there waiting for us. Sadly again, there was no acknowledgement from the hotel about my husband's birthday which I found very disappointing. The suite was beautiful and a godsend as the weather was very mixed and we had a great place to relax. Food is very good but after six nights of sliced meats in different sauces served with a selection of vegetables or salad, we were craving something different and went à la Carte on our last night. This added another £68 to the bill on top of our DBB tariff, which I think was excessive. The staff were wonderful. It's a good old fashioned hotel. They stated jacket and tie preferred for dinner but people were in there in short sleeved shirts! Overall we had a good holiday but felt let down by a ruined surprise and no acknowledgment of my husband's special birthday.

Stayed as a luxury special treat, it is a wonderful old hotel. The room we were given was a small seaview double. Its was so clean with a stunning view. The staff were all excellent. We had drinks in the bar,but did not dine. My husband used the spa,he was slightly disappointed. Also said lots of children ,which can detract from tranquility. However i would love to stay again,we were treated so very very well.

Excellent hotel , we stayed in room 205 and this was lovely with a balcony overlooking the sea .. The service was fantastic in all areas , food was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a 4 night stay. We fully recommend the hotel and would visit on a regular basis if it was close to us.

Overall it so a very relaxing stay , the staff were both helpful and friendly. Location so convenient to visit the town and beachfront.
