The Victoria Hotel in our view is exemplary in every way. The strong and efficient team work, at every level, meant high quality service in all areas of the hotel. The dining experience was similarly first class and all staff were dedicated, discrete and quietly efficient. As one young waiter said "We take pride in our work", and that was our experience. This was our third visit, and the high quality was maintained over time. Indeed, we think this is "The Brend" brand at its very best and the "flagship"

Spent a lovely three days in Sidmouth, with town visits and coastal walks, the sun was shining what could be better. Very restful stay at the hotel, all excellent.

We were treated to afternoon tea as a Christmas gift and as usual it was delicious. Fabulous food, lovely surroundings in the White Room with the view of the sea, and as always flawless service. We were defeated by the food so left with a box of goodies to take home.

We were looking for a spa break and The Victoria provided the best value and amenities as part of a spa break deal for the local area and with the added advantage of being by the sea. We had a sea view room and found it peaceful and a great stay.

Very traditional hotel for a seaside town and perhaps more formal than I would normally choose. Notably the service is excellent and the staff so helpful and friendly. Food was very good, service quick & efficient and bed & bed linen excellent. I booked online as a single traveller and unfortunately was allocated a room that had the dimensions of a cell! I told the staff that I couldn’t possibly stay there & I was then offered a bigger room with a double bed & a walk in shower which is a necessity for me! Problem solved otherwise I would have been heading home. Position close to the seafront and the esplanade was a bonus especially as I had good weather for my stay. This was obviously low season and unfortunately many of the businesses in Sidmouth were closed which was a bit disappointing but not altogether surprising. I enjoyed my short break but will not return mainly because I don’t like a pebbly beach!

We stayed here some years ago and were very pleased upon our return to find that it was still as good in every respect. The staff were very friendly and helpful - (I forgot my iPhone charging lead but reception staff were quick to provide one for my use). The room was immaculately clean and well appointed with nothing damaged or missing. We stayed on a half-board basis and enjoyed a superb 4-course evening dinner. There was also a wide variety of choices for breakfast. Our stay was great value for money and we will be returning in the future.
