Sunlight Garden Hotel

The quality of the food is excellent, nice variations during lunch and dinner. The entertainment shows in the evening are also great, brings good amusement and adds more interaction with the guests.

Amazing experience staying at this hotel. Didn't expect much considering the great price. But wow. Food is amazing. Hotel clean. Staff amazing. Special shout out to Orkan who has been amazing since day 1. Very welcoming and helpful. Lovely guy.

This has to be the most frustrating hotel I have ever stayed in! They are so close to it being the absolutely perfect 3 star hotel but many small (and easy to fix) issues quickly mount up. Pros The AI food is great - it's a bit samey but the kitchen do a great job with limited ingredients - everyone always found something and honestly the food beat other 5 star hotels in Turkey that we had stayed in. The Staff - some of the staff are the nicest people you will meet. The wee bar next to the "other pool" is ran by a lovely lady called Amina - during the day it serves the AI beer (Effes pilsner) and soft drinks (no AI spirits or wine at this bar - you have to go to the main bar) and after 6 it switches to serving paid for only (main bar still serves AI drinks). The cocktails at the wee bar are lovely and cheaper than the main bar and we chose to spend extra here as it directly supports the amazing friendly service from Amina and her guys here - she also has a selection of imported beers and much nicer coffee too! Orkan on the animation team doesn't stop all day it was always a pleasure to speak to him. Staff to Guest Ratio - they nail this and this is what makes a difference - staff constantly on the go clearing away glasses and cleaning tables - i never once had to queue for longer than a minute at the bar or at the restaurant and it was very very rare to see any dirty glasses / plates sitting on tables. The pools are great and the garden settings are genuinely lovely and it makes a big difference than just sitting in a concrete mega hotel. The location - brilliant location just outside of Side - easy for the bus and easy to walk into the ancient town - a good selection of bars and restaurants (and a Migros & A101 supermarket within easy walking distance). The Guests - a really lovely mix with people from Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, UK, Germany etc - no one group felt more than the other and for the most everyone was lovely and easy going. The Cons Room - we arrived at around 320am local time and the room was like an oven - they use the power cut off fobs that a lot places use but our room musnt have had anyone in it for a while as it was hotter inside than out. The room itself was basic and needed some work - the toilet seat was loose and wobbly, the toiler roll holder kept falling off as it wasn't attached properly. There were four of us and we had a balcony with only 3 chairs, no table or chairs or desk inside either but there was a completely useless babies crib taking up space that just didnt need to be there. The AC was woeful - set it to max and 16c and 8 hours later it kinda cooled the room a little bit - the only way to get the room to a nice temp was to take the power fob off and leave it in the room but they had actually soldered the keyring shut solid! The fridge icebox was heavily over frosted so dripped water onto anything below. We had one of the main lights not working and the mozzie screen on the bathroom win
