We arrived mid morning on Saturday. Overall impression of reception was good. Staff were friendly and the bar was open for a drink. We were shown to our room. A family room on the 6th floor. Although we overlooked the shops and road, the extended views of the mountains were very nice. Our room had 2 singles and the bathroom in one area the a kind bed and dressing area in the other room with a lockable door. As others have mentioned, bedding on the double bed was questionable. A sheet that certainly didn't cover two of us. We did request further bedding and pillows but this took two days to come. The room was clean enough. Our bedding wasn't changed daily and we had to request clean towels. Not the best maintained of rooms but out that down to it being the end of the season. The pools were freezing. I did go in every day and managed about 10 minutes. Children's lips were blue and you had goosebumps even when it was 27degrees outside. The slides were a hit with the children. Food was the hotels biggest let down. The biggest restaurant was huge but food was luke warm so by the time you got to a table it was cold. We skipped breakfast most mornings and opted for an early lunch. The food at the harbour buffet was the best on site. It wasn't varied but was almost always hot and the salad was lovely. We ate at the Turkish a la carte. Avoid this. They weren't too accommodating when they could see members of the party didn't like food. My daughter ordered the 'childrens platter' it came 10 minutes after our mains and they had obviously gone to the buffet to get this for her. Flat meatballs and chips which we had for lunch that day from the buffet. We didn't hear amazing things about the other a la cartes either. Water world opened at 2130 and this had some lovely freshly cooked food, mainly fast food. We didn't engage too much in the entertainment as it was aimed at the Russian/German guests. We visited both beaches, the closer one was not as good as the other. Some of the bar staff were amazing, however don't expect a full range of drinks at all bars, they are limited at each bar. Overall, this is not a 5 star resort. The food is it major let down which led to us eating out three out of 8 nights. I appreciate we came at the end of the season but that is no excuse for standards to fall. Hopefully by the time they reopen in April some of the issues will be ironed out although we are unlikely to return.

Just returned from our family holiday to Crystal Sunset and are already missing it. Hotel is clean, staff are helpful and a fantastic variety of different food and drink. I never ate the same thing twice and enjoyed that plenty of local dishes were on offer as well as burgers and nuggets for the kids. Poor area was clean and tidy with regular water testing being carried out. Our teens loved the water slide and pool. All the facilities you could possibly need including shops, spa, doctors, gym etc were on site. Plenty more outside the hotel too, and plenty of taxis to take you places. Evening entertainment was hit and miss but always something going on. Family room was spacious and allowed for privacy. We will certainly return one day

After reading some reviews I was sceptical about having a good sleep or finding good food however I slept like a baby, I did take my own blanket so that helped as you do get hard blankets but the room was hot so never needed them. The air con worked a treat, we had our room cleaned and towels changed daily w had to ask for new bedding as our toddler dirtied them with drinks and staff were more than happy to help with any requests we had. The free mini bar was great(we had 2 in the family suite) the pool was clean and cleaned regularly while we was here. The drinks and food were a big concern of mine as My son has autism and doesn't eat much but he ate freshly made waffles daily and found some snacks at the hotel shop that he survived off lol. We enjoyed the food and as a family of 6 with ages ranging from 15 to 2 everyone was satisfied with the selection. I was very impressed with the overall experience as I've read very negative reviews but this place was a fabulous holiday and we didn't want to leave. The beach was a 3 min walk or free bus away, shops were over the road. The smell of smoke was a bit much at times as we're a non smoking family and they have smoking areas that linger smells into the reception and dinning restaurant that would be my only negative comment. The slides and pools made it worth the trip we never had a issue getting a sun lounger and we woke up late most days. We would definitely recommend and have family wanting to book again for next year.

Honestly I have to say I only went to 5 all inclusive resort hotel in my life and this was one off the best one I ever went to so far. Before coming here I was really nervous considering the fact I saw negative reviews about this hotel but now I’m back home from my trip and realised how ungrateful people are. This hotel is definitely a 5 star hotel staff are lovely the pool is so nice and really big. The adult only pool area is so much nice and calming no children around. I was always nervous I won’t be able to find a sunbed however there was always enough sunbed for everyone. The travel to the beach is honestly a 2 minute bus journey you can also choose to walk but it’s too humid to walk. The beach is honestly amazing it’s pure sand in the sea and it’s so clean as well. There is always food to eat which is nice in my opinion. People are saying for breakfast it’s always the same food, well you’re in turkey and this is our traditional food what do you expect? However the bars near the pool that serves beer does not taste great at all it tastes like they mix the beer with water i don’t know. However if you go to the Irish bar they give it with glass bottles which is great. The Irish bar cocktails are nice. One thing I was not happy about is the doctor in the hotel. My dad had water run down his ear and he was getting irritated by it. He went to ask the doctor if he can do something and the doctor said it will be 135 EURO if he just does a check up for his ear. EXCUSE me what??? 135 euro for a check up. That price the doctor gave was honestly ridiculous. Apart from that I will honestly recommend this hotel it’s honestly worth the money and truly amazing. The staff were truly really nice as well. Every staff had a positive attitude. The man who carried our suitcase to our room upon arrival was such a nice and kind man. Thank you for everything crystal sunset really appreciate it!

This Hotel is just amazing!!!! Originally we were booked at another hotel which was horrendous, after suffering for 3 days at our original hotel, we moved to the Crystal Sunset, the reception staff were amazing and very helpful. The room we stayed in was enormous, clean and tidy and overlooked the pool, there is a mini bar in your room that is all included, there was a wide variety of food, most drinks were premium spirits. There are 3 or 4 A La Carte restaurants, and Irish Pub, Cinema, games room the list is endless. There is an adults only pool which is brilliant, and service at pool bars is exceptional. Would recommend and will be returning next year with the children 100%.

It's my fifth day here and so far it has been brillaint the staff are exceptional and the food is brilliant. The slides are amazing and is such a thrill for everyone!! The variation of the pools are amazing with a pool for 16+. Lots of sunbeds for everyone so there is no pressure on people to claim sunbeds. Lots of bars with much entertainment going on each day. The variation of restaurants is amazing with several alacart restaurants including Mexican, Turkish and Italian which is brilliant.

Returned a few days ago from Crystal Sunset. An excellent family hotel with so much to keep all ages entertained. We found the majority of staff to be excellent, the facilities excellent and the cleanliness great. The service staff go above and beyond to look after you, ensuring you have drinks etc - felt very well looked after in this respect. Food was good - plenty of variety. Obviously there are times when it is incredibly busy (it is a big hotel) but it was not a major problem. There were a couple of things we felt that could be changed easily. The first is, although the pools / slides are well staffed with lifeguards they spend ALOT of time on their phones and are not actually looking at the pools. This was not just a one off, or with one lifeguard, it was the majority of them. Personally I think lifeguards should maybe not have their phone on them during their shift so that it doesn't distract them? Secondly, although the hotel apparently have a policy where the sunbeds cannot be reserved until 8am, this is not followed. Towels were out there from 5am - by 8am there were hardly any beds in any of the three rows by the pools. The toddler/children area didn't get so busy (still beds at 09:30), but there are plenty of hotels now that stop this - and I feel Crystal Sunset should also be more aware of this happening and take steps to rectify. Overall a great holiday - 3 out of 5 of us did become sick during the holiday, but it was incredibly hot and a very big and busy hotel, so I assume this is going to happen!

This hotel suppose to be "5 star" definitely not. After reading reviews, I thought we would have a great holiday there but please keep your expectations low. The food is not average absolutely awful. We had a cold soup, dry fish, so called Turkish food, rice and tasteless desserts, baklavas..there was only a couple of things worth eating gozleme and ice cream!! The rooms are clean and spacious but noisey. The staff is lovely. I would not recomend this hotel anyone. Do not waste your money!
