Overall it was a lovely break away in a relaxing hotel. The cleanliness was fantastic and the cleaning team were there to respond to our every need and supported us when I became a little unwell. Thank you very much for this. The hotel has excellent dining facilities and rooms. Staff members are kind, positive, friendly and helpful. I would like to give a special mention to Alexandra , the hospitality manager, who went out of her way to help myself and my friend. The Entertainment was fun with a variety of activities. The choice of meals were quite varied are were tasty. Thank you. Staff also assisted with room enquiries including a later check out time. Thank you very much for this. However, I do feel there were certain elements of our holiday experience which could have been improved. There wasn't much of a choice for lunches and as much as exotic dishes were available, there were no staple food choices such as sandwiches. This seriously dented our all inclusive package as all food wasn't inclusive. In addition, I do feel the swimming pool needed a clean and the Entertainment needed to be a little more varied. There were two DJ sets during the week but these mostly contained the same songs , just in a different order. Staff also closed up venues at approximately midnight which quite honestly isn't acceptable for the prices we have paid for a 4 star venue. I do understand this isn't peak time but there must still be Entertainment /music until 1am in my mind as there would be at most other venues. To conclude, we did enjoy our experience. Hardworking staff and quality food choices make an appealing holiday destination. I just do feel my criticisms need addressing for me to return to this hotel. Kindest regards and many thanks, Greg

I'll write a fuller review later but just wanted to put something on here for now as I'm shocked at the previous reviews. I don't usually get around to writing reviews these days but I felt this one necessary. When you book a 4 star hotel you expect 4 star - this is clearly not a 4 star - not on this planet. If it were a 3 star - I would have expected a 3 star and that would have been fine BUT when I book 4 star I expect 4 star.

This hotel was very nice. The location was fantastic, right by the sea, overlooking Canal D-Amore, and a five minute walk to the main Sidari *****, but with plenty of shops and restaurants/bars right outside the hotel. the pool was wonderful with no shortage of sunbeds and parasols. A little chilly when you first get in so late in September, but lovely and refreshing after about a minute. Rooms were spacious and well kept and clean and tidy throughout. Linen was changed daily as were towels and pool towels were provided that could be changed every other day. We chose a swim up room in a quiet spot by choice which was lovely. The food was very good with plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plenty of drinks, including real Coke, Fanta etc and bottled water on the all-inclusive list. Amazing ice-cream on tap, all day every day. The staff were amazing and friendly, always had a smile on their faces and were always helpful. There was some form of entertainment on by the pool bar most evenings. We are early birds, so didn't use it much. The only downside I would mention is the all inclusive cocktail list was bit limited. Not because of the alcohol content though, there was plenty of that, but there were no flavours available to mix with. No strawberry, no coconut, so we found our choices were lacking. If you enjoy lime, lemon and pineapple however, there is enough to choose from. The snack bar is by the pool bar, and I'm not sure they have got their heads around how snacks work yet. Times can be quite random and so can the foods available. Some days the snack bar would have some salad, pizza, chicken, and some cakes, but other days just onion rings and some chips. Neither of these little things ruined the hotel experience for us however, all the good things about it more than made up for it.

There are a very mixed bag of reviews for the Akron, it's all about personal experiences and expectations. Our first impressions were very positive. Our duplex room was very large and fitted out with everything that you need.It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only negatives were the rock hard mattress and noisy neighbours. These rooms are definitely not soundproofed as stated on the hotel website. The food was plenty full and plenty of choice.Although if you tend to like " plain" food, you may struggle. However, the dessert section was very repetitive. The entertainment was very hit and miss. Some nights guests were sat waiting for the show and nothing happened. Not even an explanation. The drink selection was OK.However, don't expect a large choice of cocktails. The soft drinks were branded, but the tops were left off them once they were opened so very quickly became flat. The staff worked relentlessly and were very friendly. The pool area was lovely with ample beds and umbrellas. No matter the time of day you were able to get a bed. However ,the music around the pool was nonstop.Depending where you sat, you could here both the pool bar music and the dj trying to outdo each other. The average age of the guests was around 60 ish...Why they played techno /trance beggers belief. The hotel is set in the quieter part of Sidari which suited us.It was only around a 15 minute walk to the *****. If you are thinking of taking a toddler please think again. The Greek health and safety is obviously of a very low standard. The hotel is based around very high cliffs over the beach. The glass balustrades and steps are treacherous. There are gaps that a toddler could climb through and fall. The pool area has the same problem. Its on many different levels with loads of tripping hazards. On checkout day we were only able to keep our room until 2pm.When we asked about a courtesy room,we were told that there wasn't one.We were told to use the cold pool shower and then wLk to reception to get changed in their toilet.NOT GOOD. All in all it was a good but not great holiday. My issues may not bother other potential guests, and we didn't let it spoil ours.

This is my second return to Akron. The staff were amazing and we really enjoyed the food and never got bored. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and we were very happy with our room. We are planning on returning next year already and can't wait. Damo

Perfect three day break with some very good friends. All inclusive worth the money and even if you wonder off to have an evening meal it's very cheap. Hotel clean and staff friendly. You should definitely book it as an escape from daily life.

Went in July with my friend, we had a swim up room which are hit & miss whether you got a good one, ours only got the sun for an hour at 5pm & was basically a walkway for the other rooms, food was very good for a small hotel & all the staff in there were lovely, pool bar staff not so good, no late check out available was told to use the cold outdoor shower!! Probably the worst check out I have ever had at a hotel & I ve been to a lot,not much entertainment & the gym isn't very good but the hotel is in a good location for shops bars restaurants. Still had a lovely holiday but wouldn't pay over the top for this hotel

This is an honest review. We enjoyed the holiday; as we always say, what you make of the holiday counts…. But there is a lot to say about the area and the hotel… After travelling around the world and staying in many 4-star hotels, Akron Seascapes is DEFINITELY not a 4-star, in my opinion. The area in Sidari is very run down and far from the normal Greek expectations we had from Zante. Swim-up Room The swim-up room is a waste of money as out of all of them that I saw, only about 2 of them ever get sun. The rooms are very nice and modern with a very comfortable bed. The new bathroom has an electric point and hair dryer for the ladies. The hot water in the shower only works if no one else is showering in the complex simultaneously, and there is barely any pressure. The room came with tea and coffee and a kettle, which should be expected in today’s world. The maids cleaned them daily; they did a fantastic job and were friendly. Each room came with a safe, which was no extra charge. Food This was one of the biggest flaws in the hotel. The food was terrible, and we were not fussy eaters. Flies are always over the food. The same five desserts all week. Undercooked chicken, even the chicken nuggets were pink inside. The salad was the same five things all week. Rice was hard most of the time. No normal sausages in the morning. No sauces such as tomato or brown sauce. Very poor quality of food. What we found very strange is that all tables had some cheap throw over and you had to get your own cutlery, for a 4 star the standards are low. Drink The drinks were not the best. Most of the time, both the top bar and the pool bar were running out of Coke, so they offered Coke Zero, and when that ran out, they moved to cheap cola, which was awful. The cocktails were horrible, and most of the bar staff didn’t know how to make them correctly and were asking me! Constantly running out of cups, glasses, and straws. Pool The pool is very clean but showing signs of being dated as the plastic guards all around the pool were either broken or missing. On the plus side, getting to the pool was never a rush. We turned up at 11 a.m., and there were LOADs of sunbeds available, which were very comfortable. One advice I would say is to use Dry Oil spray and not cream; otherwise, you will be a mosquito’s dinner, as they are everywhere. The music constantly changed from one type to another and played at various levels throughout the day. Entertainment There is no entertainment or reps throughout the day, so it is boring. If you have kids, I strongly recommend not to bother. Out of 7 nights, there were only 2 things on, and it was rubbish. Staff The staff work hard and long hours, and it shows. Some had given up and were moody, whilst others, you could tell were trying their best to be positive. Nightlife The area is very rundown and situated on a narrow road with no pavements. If you sit on the front bar, you will spend most of the night breathing in exhaust fumes from a
