Šibenik Palace

We have just finished a really lovely 2 night stay at Sibenik Palace. Josip and Sandra could not be more accommodating and charming, with Sandra meeting us at check in, providing lots of local information and Josip keeping in touch via WhatsApp with tips for parking etc. There is a parking garage located just a couple of minutes walk away. The rooms are in the centre of Sibenik old town and have been renovated to a very high standard. The family obviously have very good taste! There are lots of lovely touches.....cotton wool and make up remover in the bathroom, complimentary bottles of water, and a coffee maker with pods. You can choose to have your room cleaned if you like each day. We didn't bother but the nice lady still replenished our water and left some very tasty biscuits for us! And most importantly a very comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep (AC in the room). Sibenik itself is an interesting place, lots of restaurants and bars within close walking distance. We visited the museum associated with the Cathedral (Civitas Sacra) and I would highly recommend....one of the best little finds in the city! Its new and very well done, lots of interactive displays, and an air conditioned cafe on the roof (very welcome in the intense heat for a drink). Thanks Josip and Sandra!

The decor and quality of the finish is first class. The location is perfect, in a quiet street yet just a minute from coffee shops and places to eat and all within a short walk of the stunning ancient city and sea front. The hosts Josip and Sandy made the stay so pleasant with attention to detail and little touches like a bowl of cherries or cookies let in the room.

My wife and I had an overnight stay at Sibenik Palace and upon arrival were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. The building and the rooms were recently renovated in a beautiful manner, so that everything retains and reflects its historic past. Our room was superbly and modernly furnished, very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a stylish bathroom and room facilities including coffee / tea making and toiletries. It also had air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi which worked well. The apartment is perfectly located in the Old Town where no vehicular traffic is permitted, however, parking is available in a large public underground carpark a couple of hundred metres away. It should however be noted that the carpark charge is 1.50 euros per hour. Check-in is at the nearby Fenice Palace Hotel (which is under the same umbrella of ownership) and is approximately 35 metres away in an adjoining street. Josip was a wonderful host, excellent communicator and provided a map of the Old Town and was more than happy to assist with any queries. In conclusion, we really enjoyed our stay at what could be deemed ‘luxurious’ accommodation and would most certainly re-book at Sibenik Palace should we return to Sibenik.
