Very friendly and helpful service, nice beach and convenient location in the middle of island. The hotel offers day trip and airport transport.

I got a chance to see the sunset here, which was really wonderful. The facilities here are great, not too crowded, and the breakfast and dinner are satisfactory. It is only a few minutes drive to the city center. This is the only hotel with a beach in Apia.

This resort is the best we have tried on Samoa. Food was outstanding and generous, staff genuinely look happy to help and to be working there. Really clean, comfortable, well equipped rooms. Best time thank you!

We were staying at a nearby resort but decided to try this over the water restaurant and we’re happy. The food was first class with friendly Samoan hospitality. See one photo with a group watching the turtle feeding going up and down, then we had the rainbow in the background. We were invited back for the banquet and fire show the following night. The rainstorm chained that idea so maybe next time. With suitable weather a lovely place to dine, cheers from Ballarat VIC

Sinalei is a beautiful place but is a long way from 4 or 5 stars. Have travelled a lot in the Pacific and globally. This was our second visit. Will be the last. We stayed in the premium ocean facing villa for 12 nights. Floors very badly scratched, bedding badly worn, mattress full of dips and hollows. Outside shower broken never fixed. First few days ruined by smoke from local village burning vegetation. My wife has asthma so had to stay inside. Apparently burning is illegal but staff did nothing about it. The wharf dining area had just been reopened so Sinalei decide to host a party on our first night but not for guests. Very loud till late at night. Supposed to finish at 9. Staff let it run on. Food was average. Can i just have poached eggs on toast. Yes of course, full cooked breakfast with sausages and bacon arrives. The latter is on the menu the former is not. Chicken from America, Fish from New Zealand, everything served with some variant of a sweet sauce. No hope of getting it without no matter how many times you ask. The curry was fine. Fruit juice is cheap rubbish, any papaya today? No, someone needs to go and buy some. Any muesli? No Thinking what a lovely place to have breakfast sound of the waves and wind. Would be apart from the really loud music the staff liked listening to. We ended up eating dinner at the cafe on the beach (along with a lot of other guests) Had a digger dredging the channel next to the wharf for 3 days. Prep for HRH visiting. The gardens are beautiful, the water is warm and clear when the digger isn't dredging. Overall very poor for the money, staff dont care. Feels like you are being tolerated as you are paying money. We wrote privately to the owners raising our concerns. No reply. Hence public feedback.

Sinalei Reef Resort and Spa is situated on magnificent grounds with gorgeous gardens in a great location on the island of Upolu. The beach is beautiful and we were thrilled to be able to snorkel with turtles. We spent 6 nights here in a Beachfront Villa and it truly is a paradise. The downsides were the lack of maintenance of the structures, furnishings and fittings and the standard of customer service of the staff - which I won't go into detail here as I lodged a formal complaint with the resort for all the issues we encountered during our stay. We hired a car for the duration of our holiday (I do not recommend using the car hire company connected to the resort - use a reputable big company). Only two members of staff were standouts: Ily who picked us up from the airport late at night and kindly called ahead to have dinner plates prepared for us on arrival when we checked in and Siiva who managed the staff at the restaurant and resolved a daily issue we were having at breakfast. These two women should be cloned to replace the incompetent staff members. Wanting to stay 12 nights here, we could only book 6 due to His Royal Highness King Charles III staying in October, which ended up being a blessing in disguise for us. We moved to Seabreeze for our final 6 nights. Sinalei needs a complete overhaul and reboot. It could easily be a 5 star resort if it looked, felt and acted like a 5 star resort. Currently it's a 3 star at best. Overall, we had a great time holidaying in Samoa. It's a naturally beautiful place with lots to see and do. (see my other reviews on places we visited), however, with too many other places to explore in the world, I doubt we'll be back as Samoa just didn't tick enough boxes for us in what we love in a tropical holiday. Go to the Cook Islands, Niue, Vanuatu or Fiji instead.

Sinalei was our favourite spot in Samoa. My husband and I renewed our wedding vows after 20 years and the staff made sure it was perfect, right down to singing for us with a ukulele. The snorkelling with the many green turtles right in front of the resort was the best. The food was amazing and our fale was so comfortable. Cultural Day and Fia Fia night were a highlight.

From being picked up at the airport by Sio to the last evening with Johny singing for us during dinner we had the best time . Our villas were very clean with great views . A short distance away is Sopoaga Waterfall which is always worth stopping for a swim also Vavau Beach has some of the best coral and fish on the island . There are toilets and cold showers, no restuant or bar so take your own refreshments . This time all the dining was had down overlooking the reef and water with all the staff so helpfull and friendly . The local fish snapper wahoo mahi mahi where just the best . We enjoyed the golf course playing 4 or 5 holes each day . The highlight of trip was helping Sloan and Sio relocate approx 150 baby clams around the restaurant and jetty . Thanks again for a great time . Steve
