Four of us went to this gorgeous venue, for the New Year Gala and stay. We loved the gorgeous setting. The rooms were well appointed, and quirky. The Gala dinner was extremely good the service for such a busy time was good. Having a piper, pipe us in to dinner was fabulous. The firework display New Year start was good, even in the rain. The Disco was pretty good also. The onlt diwnside was, we had to share a table. When the booking was made, we were assured that our table would be just for us. There was a table of four, but it was not given to us. A shame as this was the only thing that marred an otherwise very good stay. Breakfast was nice and plentiful as well.

Am now a regular here having first booked at short notice six months ago. Work brings me to the area most weeks and I have always been well looked after. The rooms are always spotless and comfortable. Without exception, the people who work here are all welcoming and super helpful. There's plenty of well lit parking and because the hotel is slightly out of town it's a peaceful location. The hotel's focus on events means that mid-week it can be quite quiet, which suits after long working days. If you're dining at the hotel they will send a menu and ask you to pre-select your main course. To be honest the first time I thought this was a bit odd: however they do this to make sure your selection is freshly cooked to order - all the preparation is done in-house with fresh ingredients and you can taste that. I now eat here in preference to heading to Shrewsbury or further afield for dinner.

All I can say is what a let down! I had my wedding at this venue, she was amazing!! So decided 8 years later to have my baby shower there as it was symbolic! What a disappointment!! My friend had gone too so much effort to organise my baby shower and I feel let down! We had 21 afternoon teas!! With only 6 stands to come out, how ridiculous when we paid £25pp for 6 stands! How can they justify £24.50 foe 21 guests and a stand to share between 4 people No prosecco on arrival which we were told! Considering it was a baby shower, surely they should be aware someone pregnant will be there and should cater for them considering it was for them! And Evan though they were told no smoked salmon as you can’t have it pregnant they still decided to serve it! As well as egg, which you also have to be carful with and packet ham! Which is advised to avoid! So I paid £24.50 for a cucumber sandwich!! Appalling! The cakes were dry and not Fresh apart from the scone! Which was the best part! I felt embarrassed my friends and family paid so much for a very poor afternoon tea! And I will not be suggesting Albright hussey for an afternoon tea!! I’l got forgotten about regarding my decaf tea as again can’t drink caffeine! No one at the bar for my friends to pay for the drinks! We also had to pay for a private room on top! Yet it was private, a couple were dining and looking into our baby shower! They made a lot of money from us , yet a poor performance! Which I’m really saddened it was poor experience with the money spent!!

We decided to try out their New Year package and we weren’t disappointed from the bagpipes to the fireworks it was absolutely superb. The room was fabulous and the staff were A1. It really was a special evening. And although we had never met anybody on our table before the company was brilliant too. Not surprised that at least 3 people we spoke to were returning after a great time the year before. Thank you for giving us a fabulous end to what had been quite a turbulent year. We REALLY enjoyed it

This is a lovely venue for a wedding or a dinner, which was why we stayed there. However we booked extra nights, this part of our stay was not so good. The events they held were late night dinners and weddings, great if you are there but not so great when you are trying to sleep. They also don't have facilities like a bar or other hotel niceties you can use when they are occupied by the event. Everything else was ok but not a good place to use as a hotel stay,

After a 3 hrs drive I arrived to be told the kitchen was shut and they couldn't do food. The hotel is out of town, the town you have to drive through to get there. So no food and glass of wine. Had to drive back into town. I'm now searching for somewhere on a Thursday that serves at 8 o'clock.

Our child was on a school trip at PGL, but he had to be carted off first thing in the morning to be at a new school induction day (3hrs away) in the morning. This was the closest hotel, rather than a place we sort out independently. Yet, it was a pleasant surprise. They rang in advance to give us details, and the customer service was exceptional overall. The surroundings of the hotel were excellent, and the room was great.

We were initially going to have a very low key wedding and wanted to hire a small room. However, on arriving at the hotel and meeting Paul and Emma who talked us through everything, we decided to opt for the proper wedding package. They put us at ease, the hotel was beautiful and we got a good vibe. The cost was also extremely reasonable too. Throughout the process, Paul, Emma and team were attentive, meticulous with the details we wanted and throughout maintain professional and calm. All of the rooms were stunning & our guests were really happy. We had free rein of the hotel to decorate how we wanted and the food was amazing! Our wedding day was wonderful and although it rained all day, we still had a splendid day as there were lots of areas for our guests to chill. I would definitely recommend Albright Hussey as a wedding venue. Paul, Emma and the team were fantastic and nothing was too much to ask. Thank you for making our day so special:)
