The Mytton and Mermaid - Brunning and Price is a splendid Grade II-listed building on the bank of the River Severn, England’s longest river.
Built in 1735, the hotel has a picturesque garden and extensive lawns down to the riverbank. Spacious and beautifully presented rooms feature a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee-making facilities, and some have scenic views.
The award-winning restaurant serves a seasonally changing menu which feature local produce. There is an extensive wine list, local ales and a wood-burning stove in the bar where food is served all day.
Guests can visit the National Trust house Attingham Park, directly opposite the hotel. You can relax outdoors, and enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Free off-road private parking is also available.

A wonderful family dinner. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome. The location is stunning and the food tasty while retaining a home like feeling. Amy & Neve should be recognised for their service going above and beyond to cater for a few requests - nothing was too much hassle. Thank you.

We have just returned from a stay at this wonderful pub/hotel. It was just supposed to be a stop over on our way home but from now on it will be our go to place when we want to treat ourselves. The whole place is spotless with a great menu from the BBQ down by the river to the lovely airy dining room with great attentive staff. We stayed on Friday night in a beautiful room overlooking the river and after a G and T in the garden had a great dinner in the dining room but would have be happy to eat in any of the many places that were available in the bar or outside in the patio. From the vibe that the place had on Friday night it is obviously a favourite haunt of the locals and now it’s definitely top of our list too. Can’t wait to return in December. Don’t miss this place, I know you won’t regret it.

Minnie was great. Phenomenal service across the board, food was really good, not many places in Shrewsbury have the quality of food this place serve, really worth the trip over. Couldn't recommend it enough.

We went for a meal for my Birthday with some friends. Abby was lovely, very attentive and looked after our table well. She was nice and friendly and even brought out a Happy Birthday pudding platter and suggested she took our picture with a Polaroid camera.

The food the atmosphere and the server all made for a wonderful meal with our 94 yr old parents. 2 of them has Parkinsons and so it takes him a long time to eat a meal but Emily B was wonderful with him x
