HOTEL CAPSULE INN SHIZUOKA Reviews

To my regret, should have booked ALL my nights in Shizuoka with this place. Because of some of the negative reviews online, I was sceptical and worried thus didn’t wanna put all eggs in one basket. But the worry was totally unnecessary. Given the price, a fair comparison should be a dormitory styled hostel, and this place far exceeds any of the capsule hotels/dorm hostels I’ve been to (I’ve booked around 50 in Japan by now). First, it has its own room and bed, privacy +1. Second, it has its own large locker in the room (not as large as the largest suitcase, but more than enough to keep valuables and clothes), convenience +1. Third, COMFY bed with incredibly thick foam support and super-single kinda width, sleep quality +1. Fourth, the shower room area is ultra spacious and brightly illuminated, with close to 10 counters (and chairs), you can take your time taking care of your hygiene and facial breakouts at your own pace. Fifth, it has a partner cafe (hug coffee) two doors next to it and the breakfast and/or drink coupons it offers could save you quite some money compared to walk in yourself. The list could go on when you compare it to other hostels in the town (instead of hotels in another price range) Given, the door of the room cannot be locked, and there could be a chance of hearing noise from other rooms, but these are common issues across all hostel settings, and it’s more of the travellers issue than the place. So overall, I must say this is a place of very high value. I’ll almost always stay in this place if I’m to pass by Shizuoka again in the future.

Great hotel for someone on a budget. Super clean and convenient. Very nice and caring staff. The only downside is that the walls are super thin so you can hear every single movement of the person in the next room. Still, would come back.

Very nice hotel. It's only 5 mins walk from Shizuoka station. The room is clean and comfortable. Easily get food in or outside the hotel. The receptionist is very friendly.

It's cost-effective, clean, and nice. But I can't sleep because of the snoring everywhere. It's very difficult, so I can't recommend it. I only slept 3 hours

It's close to the train station and convenience store. Ping Deli calls it "Have a Room". It's so good.

I made a reservation from Kochi City, hoping to enjoy Shizuoka for the first time in a while. Reasonably priced, with a room and shower room, it's perfect for those who want to stay overnight without meals, and is close to the station.

This was my first time staying here. We had a dinner party at La Travilada 🇮🇹 next door, so the location was perfect. Overall, it was compact and clean, which was nice. The value for money was also good.

Nice hotel, close to the subway station. There are private rooms. Although the capsule cannot be locked, it is good to have a door. The room is not big and has everything you need. It is a good stay experience

You can sleep in a private room near the station for a reasonable price. The facility is clean and well equipped. I'm glad I can come without a change of clothes and towels. Showers can be used basically at any time, but depending on the number of people using them at the same time and the location, hot water may not flow easily, so please pay attention to the time and location. There is no key for the room door, but the lockers in the room can be locked. Electricity is 1 ceiling downlight and 1 bedside light. Light intensity cannot be adjusted. There are outlets, but no USB. You can't eat and drink in the room, but if you find it troublesome, there is a public space on the first floor, but because there are only a few vending machines and L-shaped bar seats, it is not very practical.

It is close to Shizuoka Station, which is very convenient. There is also a 24-hour 7-11 convenience store nearby. The accommodation environment is very normal, the mattress is very comfortable and suitable for resting. Shizuoka is suitable for a quiet stay for a few days and leisurely play.

An incredible experience. Everything was wonderful. The hotel staff very very friendly. One of the best places I have stayed. Highly recommended!!!
