I am planning a return visit with my beloved family. I had a good rest thanks to the delicious meal and outstanding hot spring water. The staff were all friendly and nice, so it was comfortable to stay alone.

Located at the town of Shiraoi about one hour drive from New Chitose airport, it is not a very popular onsen area, but a small town by the sea. The hotel is nothing like a traditional onsen hotel but a modern building. The lady at the reception is at the door to help us with the luggage. We were seated at the reception to the check-in, treated with a cup of tea and snacks. There were only six rooms in the hotel, a lounge, a restaurant and a reservation-required onsen. The room was of decent size, with separate toilet and bathroom, a seating area, a massage lounger, and a mini HiFi with CD. The room has a classic western style feel. Very comfortable. The reservation onsen is nicely touched and one of the best of its kind I have ever visited. You can relax at the lounge after onsen and free drinks are provided. Dinner and breakfast are served in the only restaurant. The dinner is western style but of course with Japanese taste. After all, if you want to try a more western style onsen hotel, this is one to try, but the price tag is a bit higher than normal onsen hotel.

My husband and I visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were interested in the indoor bath with free-flowing spring water from the Moor Onsen and the teppanyaki course meal, so we were looking forward to going there once. To get straight to the point, we got sick with the oysters that were served right after the teppanyaki course appetizer! I don't know if the smoked food was not cooked properly, or if there was a problem with the freshness of the oysters themselves, but towards the end of the course meal, I felt sick and went to the bathroom, but I felt like I was going to throw up, but I couldn't. After that, I lay down in the room and took stomach medicine, but instead of getting better, I felt worse and worse, and I couldn't even get into the indoor bath. Finally, around midnight, I was hit with strong nausea and spent about an hour in the bathroom, struggling and vomiting, and then I was hit with strong stomach pains and had diarrhea several times until the early hours of the morning. I barely slept and had no energy to eat breakfast at all. When I told the hotel staff that my husband wanted to go to a hospital he had found online, they directed us to another municipal hospital, and a female staff member came into the examination room, and the doctor in charge insisted that it was not food poisoning, and would not listen to my opinion at all. I could only assume that they were in contact with that hospital because they didn't want to have to close the business if food poisoning occurred. Before eating dinner, I had not felt unwell at all, and in fact I was in perfect health and was looking forward to the hotel's course meal, but even though the hotel's ingredients and cooking made us suffer so much, the staff seemed cold and we left the hotel without a single apology from the person in charge. It was the first time in my life that I paid over 30,000 yen per person and suffered such painful food poisoning. I have no choice but to accept that the hospitality was not worth the price, but it ruined our precious anniversary and it was like throwing money down the drain. I never want to go through this again. I don't want anyone who goes here to have to go through the same pain as me, so I dared to write down the facts. Even after I got home, I didn't feel better for a while and I realized how terrible food poisoning can be. I want my money back!

I went to the long-awaited Pirikarera Hotel. I went here because I expected that the rooms would have hot spring baths, the food would be delicious, and the hotel would be small and cozy, so I was happy with my stay. However, the bath in the room was smaller than I expected, and the hotel's open-air bath was a private one-time use, so I wasn't able to relax in it, which was disappointing. Also, since it's a hotel in the city, the view was disappointing. However, the friendly, warm service and delicious food were wonderful, so I would like to stay there again.

I stayed here for the first time, hoping for a mall hot spring. The hot spring was a little high for me, so I couldn't take a long bath and had to take a short bath several times. I think it was probably between 41 and 42 degrees Celsius. I felt like my skin became smoother. The hotel staff were very friendly. I didn't have any unpleasant experiences. However, I felt that it was not sophisticated. At dinner, the staff suddenly joined our conversation, and at breakfast, there were times when the staff was alone and we had to wait a long time to order. The food was just okay. I felt that they were following trends a little. However, there was nothing that impressed me as being incredibly delicious. It seems that they use organic vegetables, but now that we are gradually becoming aware of the problem of nitrites, it would have been nice to have information on whether they use chemical fertilizers that may have an impact, even if we didn't ask them.

I realized the meaning of the popularity of a hotel with a very high rating. We had a wonderful time with customer service, food, and hot springs, even though it was a small hotel. I think it's a hotel where you can't know how good it is unless you go there once. It's not a so-called luxury resort hotel, but it's a hotel that makes you feel good about staying. People who are accustomed to upper hotels will surely be "eye-opening". Recommended.
