- nicely designed and well maintained hotel, very quiet - away from the Main Street, not very convenient, shuttle bus is very limited, only two in the morning to the train station, you have to book in advance - no gym or pool or a la carte restaurant options - great ocean view from the room, lobby and Onsen - service was subpar, the onsen floor was slippery, I fell and injured my hand and feet, had two medicated plasters from the reception and that was it - lots of people were taking photos in the mixed bath onsen???

We are self driving from JR Wakayama to Shirahama about 2 hours, nice place and good location because can see the sunshine with nice beach view. The onsen is super nice view face to the beach/sea and peaceful. Hotel breakfast is very delicious with traditional Japan and Western style , there is alot of choice too. The staff is helpful to carry on our bag and luggage. The hotel reception have a convenient shop for us to buy the souvenir. I will be back again, thank you!

It would be worthwhile if it was a good season, but now it's off-season and the price is about 2000 per night. With the sea breeze, the whole night is filled with wind noise. During the New Year, my family and I organized a trip to Osaka, Wakayama, and Shirahama in Japan. We really did not choose the wrong hotel in Shirahama. The room was very large and had a sea view. We arrived at the hotel at 3 pm and were just in time to check in. We booked two nights this time, both with one night and two meals. When the car was delivered to our hotel, someone came up to greet us. We first checked the names of the guests and then went to the front desk. The room numbers were prepared in advance, so it was quite fast. There are three types of services in the room (see the picture below). We chose the middle one with a refund of 1,500 yen. In fact, we should have chosen the one with a refund of 2,000 yen. Towels do not need to be replenished at all, and there are no towels in the large bath that need to be taken down. The refund can be used for consumption in the hotel for these two days. A tax fee needs to be paid when checking out. The breakfast and dinner were really good👍, very exquisite. Our family of 10 arranged a private room for us. It was very private and we had to enter barefoot. The dinners for the two days were all Kaiseki cuisine, and the elderly and children said it was very good👌. After dinner, there was a happy hour from 19:00 to 21:00 in the lobby bar on the first floor. You can go there to sit and taste plum wine🥃wine🍷, as well as various nuts and snacks🥜. We were impressed by the staff's extremely polite attitude and the way they used language when we checked in. Our family of four stayed in a room with four beds in one room. The view was great, the illuminations were beautiful at night, and the surrounding hotels probably helped create a nice atmosphere. The buffet-style dinner and breakfast were luxurious and we enjoyed a lot. The bath was also great, with an open-air bath and the fresh air was refreshing. We were a little confused as it was hard to find the entrance to the hotel from the road. It would have been nice if there had been clearer signs.

There is a Chinese-speaking front desk staff in the hotel, and the rest of the front desk staff can speak English. There is a public bath on the second floor of the hotel, 3 pools, and additional spa services can be purchased. The room is quite large, and opposite is the white sand beach, which is very beautiful.
