Overall, my stay was pleasant, but as a Marriott property, I had slightly higher expectations. The lobby felt a bit too simple compared to what I anticipated, and I found communication at the reception a little challenging as the staff’s English could be improved—especially since many international guests stay here.
On the positive side, I really appreciated having a pool despite the hotel being so close to the beach. That said, I was surprised to find quite a bit of sand at the bottom of the pool, which affected the experience.
Other facilities were excellent: I especially enjoyed the hot spring and the souvenir shop. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to others.

Well located but on top of a hill. Can walk down easily in 3-4 mins to the white shirahama beach. A little to the right of the beach is a row of restaurants bars and cafe known as the Ginza street. There is a foot onsen that anyone can use free to have a soak of the tired feet.
Of course there’s a onsen within the hotel at the top level with a view. Overall good experience

The onsen on the top floor with a view is fantastic. Can walk to the fine sand beach down the slope in 5 mins. The Ginza street is just behind the beach with many nice food.

The front desk reception is very nice. The sea view osen private bathroom is very beautiful and unforgettable sunset. Definitely suggest to my friends.

We are self driving from JR Wakayama to Shirahama about 2 hours, nice place and good location because can see the sunshine with nice beach view.
The onsen is super nice view face to the beach/sea and peaceful. Hotel breakfast is very delicious with traditional Japan and Western style , there is alot of choice too.
The staff is helpful to carry on our bag and luggage. The hotel reception have a convenient shop for us to buy the souvenir. I will be back again, thank you!

Excellent service and sea view. Also like the breakfast and set dinner included. Given the very limited choices around the hotel, I suggest dining in Marriott.
