FIVE SPRING RESORT THE SHIRAHAMA
5/51 Reviews
On the third day of the New Year, dinner with my mother to feel the sea breeze of Jiyi Peninsula and the cattle in Kumano, 🐼 Japan's only two cities with pandas ♨️ 100% undispensed natural hot springs brought in by a kilometer underground 🏖️ White Beach shipped from Australia 🦞 charcoal grilled Ise lobster and abalone for breakfast on the fourth day of the New Year. Fish eat, the main focus is all kinds of eating and drinking. The hotel will send a business car JR station to pick up and drop off.

Fantastic value for what you get. Although you’re room is in a building next to the main hotel you can use all of the facilities which include hot springs, the swimming pool and sauna. It’s also close enough to the beach to walk and there’s a bus stop right outside.

Hotel location is good, breakfast food is suitable, hot spring fitness facilities are sufficient, staff is very polite but English is numb, service attitude is good and warm. It is very convenient to walk to nearby attractions and dinner, the room is large and full sea view. The only criticism is that the room is preset to be too hot and very dry, and there is no control method in the room. The solution is to open the air freshener plus dehumidification, and open the terrace glass door before going to bed.

The hotel is located on a hill, you need to climb to reach, the front desk and the guest room also need to climb the stairs. The hotel has its own parking lot and does not need to pay extra. I feel that the hotel staff is not very kind, more stay, and I will not say good morning/hello to the guests. We went up to the front desk with big luggage, and they didn't mean to help open the door (we didn't ask them to help with the luggage, just wanted them to help open the door), and there was no feeling of being at home in a Japanese hotel. There are indoor and open-air baths in the large bathing area, but the indoor bathing pool is generally hygienic, and there are traces of mold in the pool. I just lived in Room 303. The room can overlook the Moon Island, but the toilet smells of canals. It is better to keep the exhaust fan on.

It would be worthwhile if it was a good season, but now it's off-season and the price is about 2000 per night. With the sea breeze, the whole night is filled with wind noise. In addition, there is an engine noise in the room at night, which seems to be coming from the engine room or somewhere else. It sounds for 10 seconds and stops for a few seconds, and the frequency changes. It is hard to imagine that a room at this price has such facility problems. People who are sensitive to sound will not be able to fall asleep at all. I will not stay here again. I will try the hot spring hotel by the sea next time.
