An excellent hot spring hotel tucked away in a quiet village. Don’t let its secluded location mislead you though; access to the area is convenient and easy, whether you’re coming from western or eastern Japan. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The room was a lovely, traditional Japanese-style room with an excellent view of the adjacent stream and small valley. Perhaps most importantly, the hot springs themselves are just wonderful. The quality of the water is excellent and the tubs are comfortable and offer lovely views over the valley. Perhaps my favourite moment was soaking in the outdoor baths after dinner, under the gentle glow of the hanging lanterns, with the sound of the bubbling river below. Perfect! Would 100% stay again.

Good value with exceptional service We were extremely satisfied with the services and had a delightful experience in that hotel. Our package included room, breakfast and dinner. Due to a minor traffic incident, we were unable to meet our dinner time of 6:00 pm. We contacted the hotel and they kindly accommodated us and provided attentive service. We were deeply touched by their care and consideration. The assistance to report of the traffic incident to the local insurance company was unexpectedly smooth with the help of the staff. The language proficiency of the staff was impressive, as they efficiently resolved language-related issues we faced. Furthermore, the traditional charm of the hotel exceeded our expectations and added to our enjoyment - good value. We will recommend the hotel to others and look forward to visiting again in the future. Special thanks to Ms. Oromo Rie, Mr. Toyama, and the staff responsible for our meals.

Only the room is a bit strange. The toilet is very small and there is no bathroom. After using the toilet, you have to walk over several meters to the terrace to wash your hands. The terrace seems to have not been cleaned for a long time. You can hear the sound of running water in the room and open-air bath near the river. The environment is not bad.

I visited an onsen in Shinshiro, Shizuoka Prefecture! It's a charming place, surrounded by nature and the flow of a river. This time, I opted for a package that included a private bath and lunch. The lunch, which was mainly meat dishes, was delicious, and I was able to relax by myself in the private bath. The Japanese-style bath, showing signs of wear, was truly lovely, and outside, there was a flowing river. If you listen carefully, you can hear the sound of the water flowing.
