Very nice hotel with a lot of amenities, great place for a family vacation.

Quite disappointed as the gondolas to unkai terrace was closed during this season according to the staff & we planned this for our wedding anniversary trip. Overall ok but the toilet has quite a numbers of small insects. Hope will get another chance to revisit!!

The hotel is good and with different varieties of free drinks from 10am to 10pm but only not good is air-conditioning is only hot air in Oct which is too hot for foreigners!

My stay in Hoshino Resort TOMAMU The Tower was fantastic and my family enjoyed it very much. The complimentary free champagne was wonderful!

We found it was cheaper to book via trip.com, triple room with 3 breakfast. Greenery view from the room though it was raining on the day we arrived. Hotel guest get to enjoy free entry to swimming pool and Unkai Gondola. No amenities/toiletries found in the room, the hotel put toiletries beside front desk, take what you need. Excellent selections for breakfast at Nininupuri, it's like sitting in a glass house, surrounded by trees.

The resort, the restaurants, the cloud were all great. But the access by JR train was so bad because there's no elevator. Because of my nationality i cannot drive and rent a car in Japan so i had to take the train to go to this resort. To go to the other platform, we had to take the stairs while carrying our heavy luggage. Unlucky me i just had a spine surgery and i actually should not carry heavy weight luggage but i have no options and i am with my mother who is over 60 she also had to carry heavy weight luggage through the stairs. Maybe its our bad due to the misinformation on our side that the station is like this, but just a little note for travelers who cannot rent a car to go to this resort. Either JR or Hoshino Resort maybe could invest a little for elevator or maybe assign some porter who could help just in case there are some customers with health problems like me or older people.

Too commercial, not the Japanese relax style! Just like going to Macau….. Overall service is just fair, not really outstanding and do not recommend to book this hotel if you are looking for a real relaxing experience! The swimming pool really looks like Macau’s one!

The room is decent but obviously dated. But big windows let you soak in the mesmerising snow views. We also liked the different restaurant choices to choose from for breakfast. Nininupuri was the best given the view, food choice and table space. Nothing fancy for this hotel but nothing beats the spectacular view and ski in ski out convenience.

It is the ideal place to stay at if you are heading to Unkai Terrace, as it’s walking distance to the gondola (and the gondola only opens between 5-8am). However, it’s basically self-contained, so there aren’t places to explore outside of the resort.

Attracted by the Hoshino brand and the chapel on water. Felt overpriced after check out. We booked both twin and treble rooms. the treble rooms had better view. But the rooms are definitely outdated and in desperate need of major refitting. Need to walk 10 min to the restaurant area. We waited 40 min for the Italian dinner. At 8.30pm we escorted our elderly members to the chapel on water in which they climb stairs and outdoor corridor to reach. It was quite tiring for them. The onsen also needs a lift by their buses. it is not a walkable distance. Breakfast at Hal was ok.  Overall,  everywhere is crowded. After checkout our family went for the farm ride. But really i don't think the rental gasoline golf car is ever needed cos it is perfectly walkable from parking lot even for our 90 yo father. Would not recommend staying at the resort again. Did not find the stay justifiable.

Stayed here to attempt to see the famed Unkai as hotel provide free shuttle and gondola tickets atop. Hotel service is pretty standard and slightly underwhelming as they were not flexible with any upgrades or change of rooms or late checkout despite us traveling with a 6 month infant. The room’s central aircon system was also pretty warm and stifling despite setting the thermostat at the lowest. Credit to the hotel for providing portable fans - they seem to anticipate this problem in Spring or during warmer seasons. The pros of the hotel is the architecture and the morning Unkai field trip and… the real winner at this hotel is the extraordinary breakfast spread! They provided complimentary purée suited for my infant’s age and also baby chairs and cutlery. Did not have time to try out the onsen and indoor pool as we need to take the shuttle bus and the operational hours are very short - not much time between check in and dinner but I expect it would have be more fruitful if I had a longer stay.

Stayed for 2 nites, arriving 4pm on Sunday 7/5/23. Great hotel although some facilities like Unkai terrace, ice village & chapel on the water were all closed. We came all the way from Singapore, but missed these attractions. Still the resorts is one of the best in Hokkaido and exciting, similar to another 5* resort Hilton @ Niseko (loved it). Wifi also rather weak. Btw, Hoshino provides coffee making facilities(good) but does not provide porcelain cups, just only paper cups (not appropriate for a 5* hotel) !!
